So very well planned out. Never knew all the behind the scene work. But the owner is great I'm amazed how he comes up with these

Tenth level is one of my favorite places in Fort Lauderdale! They have a fun nerdy gaming theme…read morethat's in every detail and decoration, and even the drink names! The staff are super nice, and the bartender gave a great drink recommendation based on what I told him I was looking for. They have game consoles with an insane variety of games throughout the bar and seating area, which are all open to play for free. They have any game you could ever want-PlayStation, Nintendo, sega, etc, and board games to play as well. They have a ton of fun events every month: trivia, bingo, karaoke-always with different themes. If you're looking for something fun to do, I promise this is your place. A million stars!

I've been here before and had a decent experience, but this visit was disappointing enough that I…read morelikely won't return. We came as a group of five. Two of us ordered drinks right away and sat at the bar playing video games. The rest of our group was still deciding what they wanted, which we understood fell under the one drink minimum per person rule. One friend sat with us at the bar while we had our drinks and was told by the bartender that she couldn't sit there without purchasing a drink, so she moved. She then stood near our other friends, who were playing an arcade game, and they were told they could not play unless they each bought a drink. At this point, they stood behind us at the bar to look over the menu and decide what they wanted, but that didn't seem to matter. The bartender repeatedly returned and escalated the situation instead of allowing any reasonable time to order, stating they could get water if they wanted and that it did not have to be alcoholic. After only a couple of minutes, the same bartender came out from behind the bar again and said in a rude, condescending tone that they "don't understand... if they don't buy a drink, then they can't even be in the building." Our friends explained that we had already purchased drinks and were simply deciding what we wanted, but at that point, they were turned off by his behavior and no longer wanted anything--and frankly, neither did we. We cashed out our tab, finished our drinks, and left. We were already paying customers and would have ordered more drinks, but the handling of the situation made that impossible. Instead, the business lost not only our additional sales, but also several friends who were planning to join us and spend money. We are local to the area and not teenagers causing a disturbance, which is what the situation felt like when our friends were told to leave for no clear reason. I understand house rules like a one-drink minimum, but there is a professional way to enforce them. This wasn't it. Not everyone can or wants to order immediately--whether due to preferences, pacing, or dietary restrictions--and the lack of flexibility or basic courtesy was disappointing. Instead of encouraging guests to stay and order more, the approach did the opposite. Unfortunately, this experience completely changed my impression of the place, and I don't see myself returning. There are other spots in the area with a similar concept that offer a much more welcoming and customer-friendly experience, and I would recommend exploring those instead.

This was my first time taking part in an escape room. There were four of us in our party and they…read moregrouped us with four others. They told us to be there at 7:45pm for our 8pm reservation. They were running behind and we didn't start until 8:50pm! That was annoying considering how adamant they were in their emails saying to come early so they could prepare us for our 8pm start time. You wait in a separate room. They had fresh popped popcorn which was nice. When they are ready for you they have you move to another room. Both waiting areas are nicely decorated. This is when the owner explains the process. He then escorts you to the room and your time begins. Throughout the adventure he talks to you over a walkie talkie and offers advice. He said he develops all the clues himself. The owner and his sister were nice. You need to book in advance because he does get booked. There is parking in the attached lot, however, some spaces are reserved for the church next door. Overall, it was a fun time. Make sure you get a groupon to save money. The others in our group had done 8 other escape rooms and said this one was just "Okay". Since I haven't done it before, I have no comparison.

EDIT: after sharing this review I was personally contacted by the GM of Escapology. They apologized…read morefor the treatment and offered the walk-in discount, in addition to a discount should we ever return. The e-mails continued even beyond normal business hours to ensure we walked away as satisfied customers. The refund was returned the very next day. Even with the way things went on the premises in person, we are more than satisfied with their effort to make it right. Thank you, Escapology. We called on a Monday afternoon to inquire about availability, we were told they had openings and she would take our info over the phone and charge us for one person to hold a spot for us as we were twenty minutes away. When we asked about parking, the person on the phone instructed us that there was a parking garage on Cortez St, but she failed to mention that we could get parking validated by them for $15 and not have to pay the $21 parking fee. We only learned about the parking validation from the sign on the entry desk after we had already paid for parking in the garage around the block and we weren't going back down there to haggle for the $6 savings. There is also a sign as you enter the building that says to ask about the walk in discount. We asked about the discount four separate times, as we had two people paying for families, and each time Myesa ignored the question. It wasn't until she was asking for my payment that I stated she was ignoring our question and she told us we couldn't get the walk in discount because we called first. We asked how much the discount would have been and she said 20%, so with our group total of $280 that would have saved us $56 dollars. Note: it doesn't have any terms or conditions for the discount listed on the sign. After we stated it would have been nice to know that on the phone as well, Myesa was a bit smug, but showed us to our room. There are no bathrooms for paying customers, you must go downstairs one level to use the public restroom. For the price you pay at this location, which is the most expensive escape room we've ever done, for not any better quality or courteous staff, we won't be returning. The only bonus about this escape room is that it is right on the beach and close to many other restaurants and things to see and do. Find another escape room where they actually care about the customer.

Well run. Nice waiting area. A lot of fun. You will get a full 90 minutes of play…read more The two downsides: Very pricey (however, I understand the business model requires this due to length of time, space requirements, etc) A lot of paperwork to fill out. Felt like work.
