It is home to iconic landmarks like the Sunsphere, a 266-foot gold-domed observation tower, and the Tennessee Amphitheater. Today, the park serves as a hub for major festivals, community gatherings, and recreation. Very welcoming space, lots to enjoy, always busy! The sphere is a focal point, when you go through Knoxville on I-40.

Today, the park is a beautiful green space for residents and visitors. The Sunsphere and the Amphitheater are the only remaining structures from the World's Fair in the park. The Sunsphere is opened to visitors. The Amphitheater was shuttered for the winter and in need of a facelift. Several interesting architectural features (posts and statue) are located throughout the park. A colorful bridge passes over the park and waterway. The Park is filled with accessible walkways, a water feature/fountain. A rail trail passes through the park for walkers and runners. We found free parking at the south side of the park. I did not see restroom facilities. Dogs on leases are allowed everywhere except in the fountain area.

What an upgrade from the park in Sevierville! My husband and I got seats in row 1 on 1st baseline…read moreand got to the stadium early enough to explore. There is a small team store outside but the one inside the stadium is far better selection-wise (Smokies, Cubs, and basic TN apparel)...albeit still small and crowded. There are condo buildings on infield sides of the park overlooking the field. We felt bad for whomever owns the condos directly above the kid play area on 3rd baseline (slides and play gyms galore). It was wild. The coolest part was that you could walk around the entire stadium via a bridge walking over a creek in the outfield. There is a ton of standing room over by the bullpens with counters for food and drink. We also really liked that at the concourse level, you can purchase a 4 top table as your seats, which had a great view, tables for yummies, and easy access to vendors and restrooms. Would be great for a double date or a family of four. Great sound system and Jumbotron. The suites are far more expensive than at the last stadium, making an outing with friends or colleagues a bit unattainable for educators like us in those previously enjoyed spaces. There are a lot of food options for nachos, pretzels, Philly steaks, hot dogs, etc. There is a BBQ spot and a special seating area for the Bush's Baked Beans BBQ buffet area (which seemed popular). We loved the ice cream stand with shaved ice galore, hard scoop OR soft serve options. I got a single twist in a cup and it was huge. Average/expected prices and cashless only. The slight downsides-there was a rain delay without an abundance of covered areas. The drainage at our row 1 seats was poor and a huge puddle formed during the rain and remained. Everyone around us kept saying, "thats unfortunate...especially for pricier seats." Secondly, there were a ton of beer options, including local, which was cool. However, not many cocktail spots.

Stadium in Kodak was MUCH better. The old stadium was more scenic, no construction or tall…read morebuildings surrounding it. This park is much smaller and in a more dangerous area. It is also not very ADA friendly. Overall, the new stadium is a massive downgrade. Went to the Savannah Banana game where they offered SRO tickets. They have no designated standing area. All places to stand obstruct your view in some way. You feel like you're being a nuisance and being treated like one. Employees complained to other employees about SRO ticket holders "being in the way" right in front of said SRO ticket holders. Employees and others attending treated SRO ticket holders like absolute scum. DO NOT OFFER SRO IF YOU DO NOT ACTUALLY HAVE A PLACE FOR THEM TO STAND AND ACTUALLY ENJOY THEIR EXPERIENCE. Every single person I saw standing really looked disappointed the entire time. We ended up leaving an hour and a half early because none of us were enjoying ourselves. Absolute waste of $175 plus what we spent inside the stadium. They really dropped the ball on this one. Also, parking SUCKS.
