So... This is not an old review, but it will be an honest one . So here goes. If this was just a review for the restaurant would easily be a 4 star review! The food is fantastic! Pace of play was terrible, the course was avg at best. The pro shop was insanely miss managed. Seemed to have a back up around 1130am. We reserved a few days before with a Cart, and no cart available. We also weren't the only ones without a cart that was purchased prior. The older gentleman with the white beard and a bit longer hair cut, you sir are my hero! He worked in the pro shop and at the turn helped us get a cart! The course overall is an avg PNW course. I would probably try this course again and possibly change this from a 2 star to a 3. I don't think the course has enough potential to be more than a 3star. However with the food plus the course. Overall could be a solid 4star establishment. Need some serious help in the Pro shop. To tell ur paying customers on vacation that they either walk or miss the paid Ttime, kinda not cool at all...

I'm not a golfer, but the bar and resturant are great! Wonderful food.

The carts are clean and the seats on them are very cushioned and like new, drove smooth and had a great time. It is a true 4 hour course and plays fast, even some of their longer and "crazy" obstacle like courses too. The pro shop was helpful and gave us a quick brief explanation before we headed out which was nice. My only downside was part of the back nine people are criss crossing onto each others fairways because of the layout of each tee facing each other for about 3-4 holes so things got a bit jammed up and chaotic looking with multiple groups in each others fairways shooting their balls. Its proximity to the beach also had quite a gust of wind and breezes throughout our game, could be a good thing or a bad thing depending.

My golf game is 'not very good', but our party had a great time here. Pace was decent, greens in fabulous shape. I'd call it a fairly forgiving course, as no stands of trees or heavy brush to lose your ball in. Only complaint I thought the green fees were a little high. I'm glad vendors from out of town bought the round. Also, could stand some better signage on how to find the restaurant (I think we tried like 4 different doors trying to figure out how to get there, but the restaurant is not part of the review) I'm sure proper golf attire is appreciated, as we were.

Challenging yet still fun to navigate through. If you're a walker some of the holes from 16 will have you doing a lot of walking through a quiet neighborhood street so if it's your first time, I recommend a cart before walking. The course isn't as immaculate as can be although still fun. The course has some weird orange and white flags sticking out of most holes, the sand traps are pretty much empty and crunchy. The course for the most part is very well marked though and fairways and layout are wide enough that you don't have other golfers cross crossing into your fairways to hit their pins. Most of my deductions came from the awfully rude, condescending and unprofessional pro shop experience I have ever encountered. Rather than Brianna tell us there is an additional charge for a cart seat she aggressively said she can't do it. There is an inconsistency in training from management and just the overall vibe each time we went to the proshop to check in was just a $hitty depressed tone. From the reviews sounds like not much has changed in 12 years. I think I won't be back until there's new management and they turn themselves around into the resort their name claims to be.

I've played the public side, Ghost Creek a number of times, but this was our first round on the private course. What makes Pumpkin (both 18's) so special, is that you feel like you're a million miles away. The course is beautiful, and in pristine condition, but the setting is what's amazing!! We played with two members, a married couple that were awesome to play with! Friendly, fun and gave us info on each hole and how to play it. I also enjoyed our meal in the restaurant, and the service, including the bar cart was excellent. I realize not everyone can get on the private course, but if you can I highly recommend it. If not, Ghost is also wonderful, and definitely worth your time making the trek out to North Plains.
