Schedule your haircut easily through Yelp. Alison still has a message requesting that you mask up, but you can disregard this. It was up during the height of the pandemic, and she doesn't know how to take it down. I finally searched for skin fade on Yelp, and that was the magic that helped me find Alison. So, that is what I also shall mention in my review. Alison's little shop is inside of Sola Salons. It's at the opposite end of that shopping center with Publix. It's easy enough to navigate, and Alison will also provide directions. The haircut and conversation were both great. That's a surprisingly rare combination in an industry that values both. Outside of doing an incredible job executing on my cut, she gave me an excellent recommendation for lobster rolls. All Metro Atlanta male residents and guests should check Alison's calendar first when needing a haircut.

The fade was mediocre and the blend between the fade area to top was very amateur level. I asked to point cut my hair to thin it out, but my hair was thick as hell after. Wife was not happy after this one. I guess depends on who cuts your hair, you can either get a decent one or shitty one. The ambience is ok, website design is attractive, they have drinks you can enjoy, but remember why you go to a barber - "to get a decent haircut". Don't think I will throw my money away like that. Now, as many exes over the years have told me, I'm one to philander and not simply settle down and commit. This philandering has led to good haircuts, great haircuts, and some very mediocre haircuts. I don't feel like I've had a bad haircut recently. I probably would've had a bad haircut if I let the lady with the horrible attitude cut my hair at Boardroom for Men, but I decided to go visit ole reliable, Roosters Men's Grooming Center. Roosters was able to see me same day. The receptionist booked me over the phone just in case. I arrived on time and was seen shortly thereafter. I gave the same instructions to my stylist that I gave at Boardroom earlier that morning. You know something absolutely crazy? She didn't argue with me. She simply made sure she understood and we proceeded. I'm deeply grateful to Ms. Sherry for taking the full hour and really showing why a skin fade should rightfully be charged a little more than a typical cut. She did an excellent job with my hair. Now, looking back, are there a few changes for next time? Sure. Everybody's hair behaves differently. I know she didn't necessarily believe how wavy/curly my hair can get until she saw it curl back up in real time. I think I've found my barber until I remember that I'm not actually rich enough to live in Johns Creek/Alpharetta. Until then, I shall remain blissfully in bliss.

I went to this type of shop in the 70's and 80's in New Jersey. They still use a straight razor for neck trims, which IMO is rare. My barber is Kat and I have been going since I moved here in September 2025. I would highly recommend.
