We have lived in Anderson for three years and passed by this market many time. Such a pity.... so…read moremuch we have missed. This year we stopped and have enjoyed new fingerling potatoes, amazing green beans (2 bushels that were so very nice ... not stringy and they still had their 'snap!' We canned 43 quarts & had several family comfort dinners!). The peaches were just perfect - perfectly ripe & unbruised. Looking forward to seeing the apples come soon! I almost forgot to mention how impressed I am with Amy! So helpful and she was willing to fulfill my special orders!

In good weather it is outside, in rainy weather they go inside to the old school gymnasium. It's perfect! This is a small farmers market but there are several faithful vendors I love including Asparagus Annie's (their own produce, breads, pies and sometimes crafts), a local farm with their own vegetables and meats (try the sausages), local honey from Wildflower Ridge and local artisans with jewelry, art, homemade cards and more. You get the flavor (ha!) so come check it out yourself and support our local growers!

Compared to the Muncie Farmer's Market at Minnetrista, the Anderson Market is very small. There…read morewere only two farmers with fresh produce. However, there is a BBQ tent with a smoker and freshly made BBQ. Also both MUGS & Jackrabbit Coffee have locations here. So it's definitely worth a coffee stop on Saturdays, plus you get a chance to shop from local independent merchants. MUGS was offering a free coffee or a free breakfast burrito today. I got the burrito. It was cheesy with eggs and sausage and veggies-- a $4 value for free. You can also get a coupon for next Saturday too.

The sunflower field is smaller but they have a specific section just for taking photos. Watch out for the bees - they love sunflowers too :) We also noticed that they had food trucks available during the summer sunflower field weekends as well. They have a small farmers market with a gift shop, produce, and lots of goodies. In the Fall, they have mums, pumpkins, and gourds available.

He was right, I got trapped and I had fun. All kinds of goofy stuff from t-shirts to preserves, chocolates, spices,jigsaw puzzles, plaques and oddities gave me smiles. Retro candy caught my eye and I picked up little to educate my adult sons. For comparison to Mackinac fudge, I bought some here. There is one place in Murfreesboro to get Mackinac fudge and I just might have a tasting at home. All of the artwork here and at the neighboring ice cream shop was fun to see and photograph. Staff is very friendly and greets you with a welcome based on their well known puns. About once I year I am here from TN, and I may stop again. If not, they do have a website of fun stuff to order.

I love puns, especially sophomoric jokes, and this is the place for it. The fun begins in the parking lot for being greeted warmly inside by a "Welcome to Uranus." There is hilarious merchandise everywhere. Don't forget about the fudge, which is fantastic. There is a separate building for the ice cream parlor (be sure check out the Egyptian themed bathroom). They also have a mini golf course, playground, and multiple photo opportunities. My husband and I had intended to go for half an hour and ended up staying two hours. Uranus Fudge is super fun and comes highly recommended!

It is worth the drive!!! All pastas are made fresh. The staff was so friendly and accommodating! They have a piano player as well...what a treat! I sat in the back corner and took it all in! The food was outstanding, I ordered Linguine Frutti di Mare- homemade linguine ( delicious) served with clams, mussels, scallops? The lava cake was a little overcooked- that is the only complaint.... Other than the lady sitting across the table from me that talked loud enough for the whole restaurant to hear her conversation.
