Oh how, I wish NorCal had Aldi's grocery store. This is one of my favorite places to shop not to mention their prices are phenomenal. They have their own brand of specialty groceries and of course you commercial brands when it comes to you meats dairy and produce. Every Wednesday they get new shipments and their houseware selection is addicting so much cute home decor etc... The staff is always friendly and helpful. This particular location does not have self check, however the staff rings customers up really fast and you're in and out in no time. read more

I found everything I needed. They had only one register with a cashier so I had to use self check out because the line was so long. That's my only gripe. It's tough for disabled people to self check out and go around other carts to get there. They have disabled parking on the side of the building as well as in the main lot. All spots were filled with people without placards except one. Store was organized and I did not interact with staff. read more

I'm not sure why this place received such low stars. What's not to like! Extremely cheap and affordable prices, large variety of items to choose from, keto and low carb products.....it is just a really excellent place to buy groceries, especially if you are low income or have created a low budget for yourself (and/or your family). It's a okay store. I'm a huge Aldi lover but out of all the locations this is the least stocked. I commute to chapel hill so I go to the one in eastgate and that's buy far my favorite! Overall it have most item you may need but it have some area to improve on. Still a good store though:) read more

Keep an open mind when you shop at Aldi! It's not your typical grocery store but the prices are worthwhile! Fresh produce, fresh meats, and Aldi finds are a go to! I feed my family of five here all the time for the low! read more

In Burlington since going mostly self check out which is for me advantageous I experience a great lack of interest, courtesy engagement in the mostly new staff. Sadly always under stocked on a lot of items and staff doesn't seem to care. Also I don't see why Aldi allows small businesses ( looks like mostly restaurants ) to clean out a whole section of produce or another item. I was there a few days ago and two men took all the celery, onions , cabbage and a few other items in the morning. I asked and employee if there were limits and she said no first come first served. These people avoid going through a wholesale company and by paying cash pocket more money in their stores. I don't see why Aldi doesn't have a limit policy on those items cleaned out early by business people or just simple have them place a weekly order leaving more for regular customers and serving them too. read more

I love Aldi, but it has it's fare share of disadvantages. The Good: -Consistent low prices on everyday staples. -House brand is comparable to other store brands. -Friendly workers. The Bad: -Inconsistent stock. On my last trip I left without 5 things that I thought they would have. Frozen broccoli, brown rice, whole grain tortillas, frozen center on the cobb, extra virgin olive oil. All of these items are things they regularly stock. -Odd product placement. I searched for 20 minute for the salsa verde they advertised in their ad. Found it, at the checkouts. -Noticed an otherwise friendly cashier throw can goods in a basket rather roughly that had bread and eggs in it when checking a customer out. I enjoyed my visit and when I'm on that side of town, I'll definitely stop by again. read more

I WOULD give 5 stars, but I had poor customer service from whoever the checkout lady working on 1/18/22 @ 11am. I had my two kids, one in the cart. She checked me out and wanted my cart with my child still strapped in and purse strapped in. I told her I needed both carts to bag my groceries because I'm not going to undo my child to put her in another cart in the middle of the check out. There were plenty of other empty carts around. I tried to grab her another empty cart and she told me (with an attitude) to leave it, so I left with my two carts to bag my groceries with my kids. She checked out multiple people behind me and once the line was gone she went to the employee break room. I finished my groceries and left with both carts, intending on returning them both to the cart corral. As I was outside she came out and said "I need that cart." I told her my eldest wanted the quarter in it and she said "is there not a quarter in the other??" I said "yes, but my daughter specifically wanted this quarter because it has an astronaut on it." She said "omg okay whatever keep it" and stormed off shaking her head at me as I said "thanks so much!" I'm not sure what her problem was. I tried multiple times to get her a replacement cart, but she wouldn't stop harassing me over this specific cart. It's not feasible to expect people to change over their child to another cart while rushed and paying in line. She was so unnecessarily rude and spiked my anxiety trying to cause drama over a cart in front of other patrons. I hope she has a better day. I made surrrrrreeeeee to take the cart back inside near her once I was done with it. So anyways, love Aldi... dislike who ever that was. read more

We spend most of our food (and wine & cheese!) dollars at Aldi. As folks who often cook from scratch, Aldi has most of the basics we need at the best prices and great quality. As someone who worked in industry relations most of his life, I've learned a bit about the Aldi business model and it makes sense. By using their own and contract manufacturers item costs are lowered and the middleman (third-party distributors) are cut out and the savings are passed along to the customer. Quality is excellent and some products beat the national brands, especially the German products as they are a German company and my having a German mom makes me all the more discriminating when it comes to so-called American imitations of German products - here you get the real deal. Each of the employees is trained to know every aspect of the store and that is why they may be performing different tasks when you visit the store on different days. Back in the '70s I worked in grocery stores during a couple of summers while in college, so I really appreciate what they do. They are also very friendly and will help you locate any product. Other plusses are the pet foods. Their premium bagged dog food is limited ingredients with meat first and half the price of comparable fu-fu national brands. Our terriers appear to agree and have never complained. Ditto the bird suet (when they have it we stock up) and by the number of birds coming to the feeders, they also agree. Even the squirrels like it. Hard to beat the produce prices, although the selection is sometimes limited (somewhat a minus). If I ever have an issue with the produce, it is sometimes with the citrus, particularly the lemons. They say if life hands you lemons, make lemonade. We prefer Dark and Stormies (high ball glass, ice, jigger or 2 ounces Goslings black rum, top off with D&G ginger beer and add squeeze of 1/4 lemon). They also get a revolving mix of household, yard, office, clothing and other products. Never know what you will find. In addition to the already good prices, they often deep discount certain items to make room for the next batch of featured items. We stock up on certain items when that happens - I think we are good on printer photo paper and laminating for a few years. It's a great feeling to come out of a store and look at your receipt and feel like you just robbed a bank. The customers are great for the most part, sort of like a community. Its rare to have some self-important a'hole in line complaining. It is not unusual for folks to let someone with 2 or 3 items go ahead of them rather than stand at the end of the line. They do not have an express line for 12 or less items, which would be nice. Also, there appears to be a tradition of when someone is returning a cart to retrieve their quarter, that someone in the parking lot saves them the trip and gives the person a quarter. What's really nice about that is you have the opportunity to say "hi" and "thank you" to someone whom you might never have interacted with otherwise. P.S. I have to sometimes chuckle at the survey questions accompanying the reviews. Take out? Yeah..., it's a grocery store. Even though they provide a counter for bagging your own groceries, I don't think "dine in" is an option. read more

Never had I been in a supermarket where the staff AND customers were friendly. It's a simple neighborhood style supermarket, where the prices are super cheap due to off brands. You have to insert a quarter into the cart to unlock it. Prevent theft I suppose? The aisles are a little difficult to navigate as there is usually a cluster of people with their children all over the place as well as staff trying to keep up with the stock. I couldn't find the bacon, so I asked for help. The employee was very friendly and showed me exactly where it was as oppose to just giving directions. I got in line, which was full of shoppers with carts, I was bummed because I only had 2 items and there was no line for 10 items and under or self checkout. Thankfully, the cashier was super fast, for I only has to wait about 5-10 minutes, and I was the 4th in line. They don't supply bags for free, so be ready to either pay for it or supply your own. Aldi has been a go to grocery for my family for over 14 years. Low prices and quick access really keeps us coming. You are not subjugated to endless promotions and traps like other groceries stores. It is what it is, take or leave it. We tend to get everything from here and pay half of other stores. read more

For the longest time, I avoided Aldi because their way of doing things just seemed so different to me. Then one day, in desperation to lower my grocery bill, I decided to check it out. I was completely amazed with the selection, the prices, and the service. That's been 2 years ago and I now shop there every week. A few points worth making. The store is smaller than your average store and the aisles aren't as wide. There's not a lot of room to move around in so you can sometimes get 'stuck' behind slower people who are browsing or just taking their time. My family is vegetarian/vegan so we don't buy meat products, so I can't attest to the quality of their meat. However, I can attest that it's easy to be vegan or vegetarian and eat here. Their produce selection is fresh and great. You will still need your Whole Foods type places for many of your vegan 'staples' but lots of your filler products can be picked up here. read more

I love this store, and highly recommend it.. It has consistently low prices, and fresh produce (and I am very picky about my produce). I shop here every 1 to 2 weeks. I have not bought fresh meat at Aldi's, so I can't comment on that, though I do eat meat.. I am very health conscience when it comes to food (I have Celiac disease and multiple food allergies), and I will not purchase any product with additives. That is the one downside with some of their canned veggies, bacon, etc. I do not purchase many organic foods, too expensive! However, I do prefer natural foods, and wish they would carry more of them. All in all, this is a great place to shop; however, I do wish they would carry more of the healthy items I need (even more variety of veggies and fruit, more natural dairy products, Non-GMO products, grains such as brown short grain rice, black rice, red quinoa, meats, etc) so I can cut out trips to Whole Foods and Trader Joe's. read more
