It's a small grocery store, but they have a lot of everything! Household products, drinks, canned items, frozen items, tons of spices, cheese, meat, sauces, and what I'm always looking for~ fresh fruit and veggies that look really great!! I picked up some cucumbers, zucchini, and ripe plantains this trip, but they also had lettuce, tomatoes, avocados, cilantro, onions, limes, bananas, mangoes, potatoes, and more! The cashier here was very nice and helpful too. Will definitely be back soon for more plantains and to try the mangoes when they're in stock :)

Overall, I was pretty underwhelmed with my experience just because it lasts a fair amount of items that I was hoping to find. The staff here was very friendly and I did like their selection of alcohol too. They didn't have too much of a crab and go selection either though they didn't have a nice little Bakery with some great vegan options. A decent selection of fresh produce. Easy access to the streets and Highway nearby which was the primary reason I came by too. Prices is here were a little Sky High too. Thankfully it's nice and peaceful if you come here in the morning

I went in searching for frozen empanada dough, and Aji Amarillo. The former was easy enough to find (thank you, Goya), but even my Peruvian American friend from Chicago warned me that it's hard to find the Hot Yellow Peppers, critical to the Aji de Gallina dish from her native country that I wanted to make. And sure enough, I couldn't find it after walking all through the store! La Tapatia staff to the rescue: Through a mix of English, Spanish, and pointing-to-pictures-on-my-phone -- the staff made it a mission to help me find the Aji Amarillo. Turns out, La Tapatia had it in paste, in brine, and frozen! Can't wait to come back!
