We picked Cody's farm because there wasn't an entry fee, it wasn't too far, and someone picked up the phone when I called to answer all my questions. You purchase an empty bag for picking apples before starting. A bag costs $30 and holds ~ 30 pounds according to them which works out to $3 a pound. The weather was nice and it was plenty of apple trees to pick from. There were only a couple of other people picking apples while we were there. I imagined these huge trees with apples high up to reach for, but all the trees were around 4 to 5ft. There was several very long rows of different apple trees to walk up and down. I am now convinced to get an apple tree for my back yard since the size isn't huge. The farm had play areas and activities for children so it is a cool place to bring the kids. We hit the store and I bought apple cider donuts that just happened to be really delicious. Most of the produce and products seemed to be a little pricey, but I'm thinking everything is supposed to be organic so the prices are mor. I would definitely return and bring little ones if I had any to spend a day out here.

Just seemed pricey and there was a charge for kids areas so I don't think I need to go back unless I have little ones to entertain.

It was a beautiful sunny day that just kept getting hotter and the strawberry were so delicious that we were all eating them as soon as we picked them!. It took a while before we had any to take home! . I think we were rocking back and forth like drunken sailors in the strawberry patch. We picked a LOT more and I thought I'd never want another strawberry again. Until the next day at least. We wanted to try to freeze them but we ate them all again. We had so much fun that day. Everyone loved it. I wish we could all reassemble together again and repeat it again but life changed and some memories are just so amazing that even if it were possible to get all of us together in that patch, we could never have imagined that we could never repeat that magic. Of laughter and joy to of that day. We never thought about that or we'd have stayed longer, picked more and held on tightly and not let go. I love you guys and miss you all.

No admission charge, no parking fee. Just walk in and grab some bags and a wagon and go to town. $8 for a half peck of most varieties and $10 for a half peck of honeycrisp. Our favorites are the honeycrisp and senshu. We picked 2 pecks for ourselves and two weeks later we're down to just a few apples. Everyone there is super nice and helpful. If you want cider donuts, go early!

Perhaps I caught someone on a bad day but the person who we dealt with when I asked for the peck bag and raspberry container barked at me when I asked where to go to find the raspberries and where for the apples available today. He than yelled that he didn't want my kids throwing the apples around. I have 5 year olds and they were standing by my side, well behaved and attentive. I asked why he would say that and he rudely said that is all kids do there. Not very family friendly to say the least. I would have left but I didn't want to upset my kids more than he already did. When I paid, I dealt with someone else and he was cordial but the other person was so rude they are deserving of one star.

I bought frosting and didn't check and it was expired by two months as well. Seriously please check the expiration dates. I already threw away the receipt because I wasn't thinking. It also falls on me because I should've learned my lesson from the other 6 times this has happened but when you're in a rush and not expecting things to be expired by 2 months you forget to look.

This is my third year being a CSA member. Not only is the taste of the vegetables amazing, but…read morerecently it's been significantly cheaper than shopping organic at the big box stores. I go to the farm for pickup every week, and I love the variety, that I can pick and choose between over a dozen different herbs and veggies, the extras they often have, the UPick tomatoes and beans and etc. It's also such a relief to know where my food is coming from, that there are no chemical fertilizers or pesticides in it, that it's not downwind a feedlot so no chances of salmonella outbreaks in their leafy greens, that it hasn't been sprayed to ripen -- the peace of mind itself is invaluable. They have three seasons (spring, summer, and fall) that you can sign up for (that often sell out early, especially the summer season), as well as Thursday farmstands in the afternoon. Also, at the beginning of May they sell seedlings, with prices cheaper than The Growing Place, and most of the plants I buy from there thrive in my garden with no additions required (I put compost in the hole and around the base when I first plant them, mulch around the seedlings, and that's pretty much it, by mid-July I'm getting more tomatoes and basil and etc than I know what to do with).
