Outside of their food, the staff is always super friendly and helpful with any inquiries. Additionally, the store is always super clean and never too busy. However, compare GreenStar to Wegman's, and it can't come close to compete based on selection, and can't touch Tops or P&C Fresh on prices. The problem with GreenStar is that it doesn't solve the basic need it was intended to serve, which is to present a feasible grocery option for Cornell students. I've gone to GreenStar in a pinch or if I need a quick snack in the afternoon, but it will never be my go-to source for major grocery shopping. The groceries are all organic or specialty foods, which I like for certain items (salsa, for instance, is a food of which I always buy local varieties), but if I need boxed pasta I want a $1 box of Barilla, not some fancy organic hand-made pasta. The prepared foods are nice, but I personally prefer the selection at CTB, and prices are similar.
