Aldi, and particularly this one, is a great place to shop. Great products, great prices. Simple, in and out. It's not massive, it doesn't have the square footage you may find at other stores but it's exactly what you need when you're trying to shop and be economical about it. Despite the size of the staff, the store is always clean and while there be a slight wait to check out on a busy day, it's well worth it. I really respect how everyone in the store is cross trained to do every job in the store and, at a moments notice, they can send people to the work. Found this experience to be quite disappointing. I heard great things about the stock of items at discounted prices at Aldi's and this experience fell short by a mile Walmart definitely has the beat on Aldi for selection and pricing. I didn't have a quarter for the cart so I had to carry my 3 reusable bags while I shopped. I only could really find 6-7 items that I was interested in. I do say the employees were nice and accommodating in looking for anything you may need. From now on Publix and Walmart are my top two choices with Winn Dixie third. read more

I've done weekly grocery shopping at Aldi for the last 10 years. I was glad to know this location is so close to me when I moved to Jax last year. The parking lot is never too full and the store is almost always stocked. The real reason I'm writing this review for a grocery store is because of the employee with the heart shaped glasses. They are always so happy and so sweet and I always purposely go in their checkout lane. People in line that look miserable can't help but smile when they are greeted and complimented by this employee. I've also done aldi instacart pickup one time and had a great experience. They filled up my trunk with groceries so fast. read more

This Aldi is always busy. The store is well organized and clean. Often, as in every week, we are buying groceries for 150 ppl at our church and for ourselves. Instead of going to 4-5 groceries we usually can find everything we need at low prices. Great job, Aldi. read more

This is Jacksonville's newest location. This is a perfect place for this wonderful grocery store. The lot is big and spacious. Make sure you bring a quarter for the grocery cart. The ad flyers are easily accessible. The store is always well stocked and clean. The male Cashier looked familiar to me. I asked if he worked at the Regency location and he said that he did. He's a very pleasant Cashier. Welcome to the area Aldi! Con: someone leaves an elderly Veteran man out front occasionally and he is wanting donations. He is in a wheelchair and he takes his prosthetic legs off and lay them on the sidewalk outside at the entrance. Aldi allows this. I feel bad for the man, but I think this is inappropriate for the business to allow this. read more

This is a brand new location Aldi that is located on the corner a Philips Highway and Emerson Street. Compared to other Aldi Supermarkets, this place is certainly A step above. It is attractive, well-stocked and the staff is always there to help. A few things that Aldi will not change that is honestly a let down is that they do not have a phone so you can call up to find out if you have a particular item and they do not have bags unless you want to purchase those bags. Still there are some very good deals to be had in Aldi. My mother Raves about their vegetables and while I think they are decent, I rarely buy them from there. I just prefer farmers markets and other outlets. Their baked goods are not bad and are at an incredible price. Particularly things like hot dog rolls and hamburger rolls, which come in at eighty five cents a bag. This is a welcome addition to this part of Jacksonville. I would recommend a visit here. I will warn you though, if you want to use the shopping carts, you better bring a quarter with you so you can put it in and get a quartz. It is refundable, but it is the Aldi way of making sure you return the carts to where they're supposed to be. read more

I have been shopping at ALDI for years now and also briefly worked for the company as well. That being said, I frequent this store often since it is the closest location to my home. I have no complaint about any of the employees. All of them have been pleasant. My grievances lie in the consistent uncleanliness of the store, inside and out, and the seemingly constant loitering of homeless people outside of the entrance, who sometimes are harassing people. It is unacceptable. This seems to be the result of substandard management and I hope it is resolved promptly. This is VERY unlike the standards of any ALDI I have frequented. - Lou Sassle read more

Ist time at Aldi. A family member stated Aldi had the best of everything. I beg to differ. A carton of eggs was over 3 dollars. There was a not a nice variety of oatmeal. The caveat was the lemon juice and the bagels for under $3. I'm was not disappointed but there are so many options. I tend to shop at the big 3. PUBLIX, walmart and winn Dixie. There were no sales items. However, you have to bring your own bag. It is not a long wait to check out. Please bring bags and give Aldi a try. The employees kept running into us as they were doing their onlibe orders. Multiple employees hit us with carts or bombarded us while we were shopping. They were the rudest people. Our check out girl was also horrible, and I'm pretty sure she's a manager at the emmerson store. She's always rude, dirty, and very curt. Since none of them wear name tags, she's got the long blonde hair. she doesn't give a shit if you found an item or she might have hit someone in the head with a mellon. if if some one had an heart attack on isle 5, she's going to get you out of her store wlith her pallet Jack and a broom. read more

Aldi, you just lost a long time customer. I used to go to Aldi to save money from being on a fixed income, not to be treated badly by employees. I am so happy that I have a Aldi conveniently located near downtown now. This new location is clean and well organized also making it my favorite one in town. It is interesting seeing newbies to Aldi's unfamiliar as I was once, with bringing a quarter (that you get back) to get a shopping cart. Brilliant in ensuring customers do not leave empty carts scattered in the parking lot. It is also a good idea to bring your own reusable bags, so kudos to Aldi for cutting down on waste too by not providing free bags. Like most Aldi's there seems to be usually just one cashier, but somehow they zip through check out so fast it never feels like I have to wait long. Aldi stocks most the basic grocery items and has great prices on produce and dairy plus lots of fun "Aldi finds", which could be anything from pet supplies, toys, or unique household items. If I am being honest though, I primarily shop Aldi for wine and chocolates. Discovering great affordable wines and chocolate, actually from Belgium, is what hooked me on this store. There are plenty of other inexpensive snacks and treats, many of them international, that often make it into my basket as well. So I stock up on indulgences and keep my wine cabinet full from mostly Aldi's. My favorite wine is the Sunshine Bay, which is a sauvignon blanc and recently found a pinot gris in this brand as well, which is even better. I also cannot pass up the $2.95 Winking Owl pino grigio which drinks incredibly easily chilled in the hot summers (can be dangerous) and I like the Winking Owl sangria. Just add a little fresh fruit and serve it cold. Not a fan of the reds in this brand. but for just a few bucks more you can get some other great reds, whites and bubbles. I usually pick up the wine of the month too, just to try something new. Even if it is not the best I ever had, I can be sure I haven't overpaid for anything in the store and more often I find new things to love. read more

I was recently in this store at 10 am on a Tuesday. Walk in and there was only one other customer in the store. Everything was fully stocked. I found the food items I was looking for and checking out was fast. Highly recommend this location for morning shoppers. read more
