Ground sirloin, portobello mushroom, Swiss cheese, brioche bun, tomato and corn from coming together on my grill to create a masterpiece.

On par with most Aldi locations, and the stock was about the same. Only thing I saw that was new to my eyes in an Aldi was pork shoulders. Not bone-in, but for $14, I couldn't resist. Plus, I'm making Cuban sandwiches next weekend, so I needed one. Only problem I have with this Aldi is the location. It's in some old, half-abandonded plaza that used to have a Walmart in it. If traveling along Missouri, it could be easy to miss.

This no-frills supermarket chain is just starting to open stores in the Tampa Bay area, and whether or not you decide to shop here will depend on how much you're willing to sacrifice to save a few dollars. We visited this location the day after it opened, and there was an acrid odor in the air that had our eyes burning and watering a few minutes after we walked in the door. Two employees insisted they couldn't smell anything, but since other shoppers were commenting about it, we knew we weren't crazy. We stayed just long enough to check out the merchandise and form an opinion. If you prefer national brands, you won't find any here. Everything is "private label" and available only at Aldi stores. The produce was limited and pre-packaged, so it was impossible to inspect. The price per pound is posted, but the individual packages had no weights or prices on them. There weren't many choices in the meat and dairy sections. Even canned, bottled, and packaged goods don't have much of a selection. Most frozen items are sold in family-size packages only. Many items people buy on a regular basis aren't sold here at all. You need to bring your own bags, or else buy the paper, plastic, or insulated bags they sell, and you bag your own groceries. They don't accept credit cards or checks. Although most prices appeared to be lower than those in the major supermarket chains, not finding everything you need under one roof is a major drawback to me. If I need to go to Publix or Albertson's to complete my shopping, the few dollars I save here aren't worth the trouble. If you do go here, be sure to have a quarter with you, because you need one to get a shopping cart. You get your money back when you return the cart to the stand in front of the store, but it's just one more nuisance that will keep me from coming here.

Pretty basic, even for a store similar to Save A lot. I mean they just don't have very much of anything there.

The inside of the store is old Florida~ with souvenirs ranging from manatee wine holders to seashell decorations. There are bags of locally-picked oranges and cartons of fresh orange juice for sale as well, but we went for the soft serve. It's a vanilla/orange swirl made with fresh orange juice. The creaminess of the vanilla with the tartness of the orange created a refreshing, nostalgic flavor. The attendant was really sweet. Yellow Banks Groves is a great spot if you're craving soft serve, needing a local shop to showcase to people visiting from out of town, or if you're looking for a memorable gift.

BLACK DIRT FLOATING IN TANGERINE JUICE Bought the $8.95…read morehalf gallon of tangerine juice with an expiration date of 3.21 (purchased on 3.7). Drove the 30 minutes back home just to see there is black dirt/mold/dust floating all over the container. Called the store hoping they had an answer to what it was just to get a very unsure staff member who says "it may be debris from the peel." They offered I return for a refund however I live to far to make it worth that. My guess is it is mold from a juicer that isn't cleaned regularly. Besides that the orange vanilla swirl ice cream was yummy but I won't be rushing back. Be sure to check your containers before purchasing.

Yes, it's outdoor. So plan your trip with the weather in mind. The first time I was there it was pouring raining & even though it's covered, I got soaked in the Florida "Sun Showers" we often have here hahaha. The coolers they have under this covered little market are full of everything from Gator meat to locally sourced fish, like Grouper & Snapper but they also have wild caught salmon & sushi grade ahi tuna etc., They also carry Wagyu burgers & steaks etc., I had the Wagyu burgers they are very good. They also have tons of other beef, pork & chicken. Even chicken feet. I also like their local country sausage OuiOui. The Amish eggs they sell are from an Amish farm, the best ever & the raw cow yogurt is magnificent. The really great thing they do here is the Sourdough bread they are making, it's the best I have found in the area. All of their baked goods are fabulous but the Organic unsliced sourdough boule is AMAZEBALLS OuiOui :).. The other Amish/European Market down the street also has fabulous sourdough bread but it's pre-sliced. This one here is so much more sour & I love the size & shape of it. Very artistically crafted. The best sourdough I have found by a long shot OuiOui. Added to moi lists of Best Organic, raw, vegan/Best Bakeries. Will Return. Highest Recommendations.

If you're looking for fresh, high-quality food and want to support a local business that genuinely cares about what they offer, I highly recommend stopping by!
