I am very impressed with this Aldi! The products were all sorted, no rotting or smushy produce. The entire store was clean, the checkouts were all clean and all the self checkouts worked!! Also this is one of the few aldis with self checkouts! The service was great, I had a bottle of wine I forgot about and the attendant was quick to run over to the self checkout and get me on my way! I started going to Aldi for cat food. They have the least expensive canned cat food which we use to feed our ferals. I looked at prices of other items, and if I'm not stuck on a brand, it's a great place to save money. I've been to three locations and they are all clean. The cashiers are amazingly efficient, like an efficiency expert taught them exactly how to move to get the job done. A cashier checked out 24 cans of cat food and 5 other items way faster than I could, which means lines go very fast. The stores are smaller, so they don't have everything. A sign on the freezer section had veggie burgers on sale, but I didn't see any. No matter, if I need cat food, I'll buy other staples there at the same time. I compared item for item with my usual store and saved $20 going to Aldi. read more

I already LOVE Aldi. This place has the BEST prices in town by far. As an antisocial person I never have to speak to anyone when I'm shopping here. It's truly a dream come true, maybe that's why it's my favorite Lol. I always see people stocking so people are around to assist if needed but it's not necessary. The aisles go in an interesting flow and everything is grouped nicely. The aisles are only ever full of other people so it can get busy here. I love shopping for my groceries at Aldi because they have the best prices that I've been able to find. I am always pleasantly surprised by my total when I check out. That said, the selection waivers and I feel like the produce can be hit or miss. I've had great produce, but I've also had to do some digging. I really appreciate how they have healthier options as well as organic items for a more accessible price point than other stores. I can still get quality food without breaking the bank. Great place for groceries. It's always clean, and the prices are cheaper than you'll find anywhere else 90% of the time. I especially love looking in the seasonal aisles, and their candles are super cheap! Baking though - this is the best place to get ingredients to make things super cheap! All the baking ingredients are inexpensive and you can make a ton with what you get! The only negative thing I have to say is that sometimes the fruits and veggies can go bad quickly. If you're getting fruit or veggies, don't plan on keeping them for very long. My wife and I shop here weekly, and sometimes the last meals we make don't make it to the next Saturday! Lets get some things straight about Aldi in general: -You need $.25 to get a cart (you get it back after you put the cart back) -You have to pay ~$.1 per bag if you don't bring your own -They don't have a ton of "name brand" items -To be most efficient you bag your own groceries after your check out I have no issues with any of the above things, and if neither do you, you should shop here. I want diverse items at a great price and having gone weekly to this Aldi for over a year, they have delivered. You will be hard pressed to find all the items elsewhere at this price - Yes, sometimes some of the produce is older, etc, but that can be the nature of produce in general. I've been shopping at Aldi in Omaha since I was a little kid, and Aldi has come a long long way since! This location is a new store, so the layout is really nice and it's clean. Within the last few years, Aldi has included in their regular products (not to mention seasonal items) many VEGAN friendly, gluten-free, and organic products. The best thing about Aldi, for any skeptics, is their "double guarantee". They will replace the product, AND refund your money. For example, I bought some sprouted, organic bread and it started molding a few days later (even before the sell-by date). They gave me my money back and I got to enjoy a fresh loaf of bread. My order was for pickup, which I have done many times and never an issue. Today's shopper ignored my replacement request and gave me something I wouldnt eat. I went into the store to ask about correcting it. The cashier sitting down was patient and kind and listened to my concerns. However, the guy who brought out my order inserted himself into the conversation very rudely, dismissing that I was a paying customer and simply attempting to correct my order. He was literally interrupting the cashier I was trying communicate with. This was at 132nd and Center location in Omaha, NE. Poor poor customer service. The guy needs training on how to deal with customer issues. Bravo to the female cashier who was trying to hear my issue. read more

I'm a huge fan of Aldi anyway and was ecstatic to finally get a chance to shop at this new one on 72nd next to Kohl's two months after it opened. Worth the wait - this Aldi blows the others out of the water! First of all, it's bigger and offers more selection. The aisles are about 3 carts wide rather than two. The produce section right at the entrance is huge and seems fresher than I recall. Also, being new, everything is clean, well-organized and modern. I know some people don't like "renting" a cart, BYO bags and bagging your own groceries but I actually prefer it and the low prices make it so worth it. I feel like I get twice as much food for the cost compared to "full service" grocery stores. Most of their own brands are the same or better than the comparable name brands. Aldi is my favorite grocery store and this location is one of the nicest I've been to! It's clean and has a modern fresh look with the low prices I expect. At Aldi, it's expected that you bring your own reusable bags, use a quarter to "rent" your grocery cart, and bag your own groceries. All well worth it for the low prices. It's great that there is a smaller grocery store (Walmart up the street) in the busy 72nd St. corridor, and this Aldi is clean and well stocked. My gripe with Aldi in general is the 25cent quarter rental for the shopping cart and the cashier/checkers that sit on chairs and ring up your purchases and fling them into a cart for you to bag and sort yourself. This is a turn off for me, as zero care is taken for my purchase and it's annoying that they do this even when the line is not very long. So for me, this will be somewhere to stop if I need a few items, but not for the full shopping experience. read more

No matter what time of year aldi always had an amazing selection of fresh fruits and veggies, granted today is not the best day here because they are slim pickins on them BUT I did get most of what I came for. The employees are always a delight and actually happy to have their jobs.. I will always shop at Aldi for most of our food needs, their prices are almost unbeatable!!! Anyone who knows me knows that I love Aldi. If there were an Aldi cult, I would join. If any members of that cult are reading this review, hmu. This is the most beautiful Aldi I have ever seen! It's not like Aldi has ever been known for its beauty, but this one is NICE. The Dahlman location I frequent is ugly AF. This store is larger and has more selection than other locations. This could be a good or a bad thing, because at my usual store, I can grab what I need and only be seduced by two or three additional items. This store threatens to rival Trader Joe's and Target for stupid impulse buying. I'd say the only downside of this one is that it is conveniently located on 72nd (as opposed to the traversing the industrial park-lined Pot Hole Sanctuary of South 32nd that takes me to Dahlman.) So there are a lot of Aldi n00bs who don't understand the quarter-in-the-carts or that there is a flow to shopping at Aldi, and an order to perusing the sections (engineered to efficiently make you buy more shit, I'm sure.) RESPECT THE FLOW. But oh, this ain't no perfect world. But it is a perfect Aldi. read more

By far the largest and nicest Aldi in Omaha. While I appreciate the ability to fit two carts down an aisle (impossible at the other Aldi locations), it is a bit easier to get carried away at this location as a result of the well organized coolers and aisles. It's everything you've come to expect from Aldi...super fast cashiers, coin deposits for carts, BYOB (bag or box) and the occasional sale of avocados for mere pennies. Love the new store, but not a fan of the location due to the traffic congestion around this area of town (especially on weekends). read more

This is a brand new store so it's clean and well stocked. There are a lot of options and variety in the fresh food section and everything seemed to be reasonable priced. They also have other merchandise and gifts that I haven't seen in other Aldi stores. They have this weird cart thing that you have to put a quarter in to use, its kinda a pain mostly trying to get it unchained from the other carts. I absolutely love Aldi. Im in my 20s and own my house so i dont have a whole lot of money to buy groceries with. But at Aldi I can buy everything I need and more for less than $100. This location is always clean and well stocked. Its absolutely amazing. Some things are so yummy and some arent, but you just gotta try things and see what you like. Their dairy and meat are always great deals. A lot of people whine about how you have to bring your own bags, give a quarter for your cart (that you get back), and the cashiers sitting. The reason for all of those things is so that the prices can be so low!!! Plus I work in retail and I dont see why its such a horrible thing for people to sit while they check your items.
