Beck Brothers Citrus - Come get some Blueberries

There are acres of blueberries growing in neat rows, and they're full of fruit. You enter the farm, park in a grassy field, grab a bucket at a table by the orchard, and head out to pick. The helpful people who give you the buckets tell you a bit about the varieties that they grow, and about the colored streamers on each row that tell you which variety is growing there. Here in Central Florida it gets hot early in the year, so the plants fruit early. What's comfy for the plants is comfy for us, so picking is usually in great weather. When you've finished picking enough, you take the bucket back to the table and pay for what you picked. By comparison, what costs you $8 at a store like Walmart costs you $6 at Beck Brothers farm. So go now, or plan for next April, and get enough blueberries to make your jam, your ice cream, your muffins and pies. Freeze the excess and you'll always be ready to eat the berries that your family and friends picked on a lovely Spring day.

Smack dab in the middle of several neighbors, it's a treat to come on the property. We've been going for a few years now and each year they add small amenities like hand washing stations, rides around the property and picture spots. Parking is free. A bucket at this time in 2025 is $20. We each grab a bucket and take a different row; plan for about an hour to fill it. Feel free to taste to make sure you're getting the kind you like (sweet, sour and mid sour). When paying there is other local offerings like honey (wish they came in a smaller offer)

I guess why it is only getting four stars instead of five is that they do not have a great selection. It is rather limited. And while some things are well priced, some things are exorbitantly priced. For instance, they wanted almost seven dollars for a head of cauliflower. Still, this is a good place to come check out and you can find some good deals. Just be wary of the price and you will do fine. I am going to give it an overall four stars.

He goes above and beyond to fulfill he's duty regardless of personal setbacks and life occurrences. He never takes it personal and it's always ready to help the next guest. He makes this place feel like home. Matter fact. I feel very welcome coming to get my weekly needs. Ice cold AC and great frozen selections. A nut bar as well it's always welcome. I will continue my shopping at Harvill's thanks you for making a market that strives to make a difference in the me way we see grocery shopping. P.S. Best pumpkins at the best prices!!

This market happens every Sunday along Lake Eola and features tons of local produce stalls as well as prepared food and drinks stalls and artisans selling their wares. It's a pleasure to walk around and look through the diversity of offerings. It's massive and one of the larger markets I've ever been to. Plus- they have shaded areas under trees with picnic tables for enjoying your food. It's also dog-friendly, so be prepared to enjoy the vast sizes and breeds strolling along with their owners. Overall, a great market for a fun morning. I wouldn't consider it the best market for dropping by to quickly grab produce, rather it's more of an experience to enjoy on a Sunday.

There is no better way to spend a Sunday than by supporting small, local business and having a picnic on the various lawns. My go-to are Cedar Hive Honey, Worthy Snacks, and House of Jerk Cedar Hive Honey has great honey flavors at a very reasonable price for locally sourced honey! Worthy Snacks have the absolute BEST pork rind flavors. You must get the salt & vinegar and garlic Parmesan- WOW. You get a massive bag for $8 or 2 for $15. House of Jerk has some really unique jerky flavors that my husband and I love. They have a 9 for $20 deal on jerky. A new spot I tried recently was Soulful Sazon. Definitely get their chicken pinchos and seafood egg rolls- yum! Don't forget to stop by and get a fresh coconut water. Very hydrating on a hot day!
