Now with tariffs poised to destroy the trucking industry I knew I better figure it out so I can stash more cash. Btw a pox on all your houses if you contributed to this. Anyway. Ive gone a couple times in the past 2 weeks and there are things I quite like there: the salted butter, shredded cheeses, breakfast sausage, and fruit punch are always priced right. Small bags of produce like sprouts and broccoli work well for me since I'm usually solo and can eat them before they go bad. The hodge podge aisle is fun to shop too. I never buy but I like looking at all of the gadgets and seasonal items. Perhaps when we emerge from this impending depression, I'll indulge. Anyway, I can't do all my shopping here but it fills in the gaps nicely. Between this, Costco and a TJs run here or there I'm good. It won't look perfectly orderly or always well-stocked. But, if you can transcend the psychops of traditional grocery shopping you'll leave with an extra dollar or two in your pocket.

Wanted a beach chair but they did t have it . I also saw tomatoes at 90 cents in the Maryland location but didn't get it cheap here . They were about 1.99 or more in the north Brunswick location . I like their bakery . Good products and not that pricey. Service can be better . Not many employees around to help. Good shop for all household items. Lots of parking outside .. nice locality .. pretty cold to rt 1... good experience overall .. 4 stars ..

Loud music and customer service with a bad attitude makes them not approachable…read more Often, the Turkey Ice Cream prices shown on the shelf do not jive what you pay at the register. I have complained about this discrepancy before. I buy a few things about once a month but now not so much. Walking into the store, the music is loud enough to make you think like you entered into a NYC disco lounge. The employees always seem like they don't want to help you, you are afraid to approach them. The store has good produce sometimes, which is about the only reason I would buy anything at this store. I used to buy bread too but I have no idea where they put the bread. Between the loud music and the employees with bad attitudes, you just don't want to go through the pain of asking. Past visits were twice a month, now only once a month for one or two items.

There are three checkout lanes, but usually only one cash register is staffed. A second checkout lane will open up only when customers in line are spilling out into the aisles. The single-occupancy restrooms behind the bottled water pallets are surprisingly clean, probably because people forget that they're there.

I was pleasantly surprised at the reasonable prices for things we needed while traveling over the holiday. If you have their App ,they offer some discounts and if not, the cashiers were willing to put their number in to help you out. Great customer service when we asked for where products were. Their fruit and veggies section had plenty of organic and non GMO products which I try to buy even when traveling. It was interesting to see security robots around the store with video monitoring. That was something I haven't seen before. No paperbags are given since NJ has reduced their plastic waste.We purchased some reusable ones which were heavy duty and will use as we return to Htown. When I first walked in the store, I was a little put off because I thought it was just a fruit…read moremarket. To my pleasant surprise, there was a lot of different things that you could buy there, and it saved me from going to the supermarket. Some things are overpriced such as minced garlic from Goya. They wanted almost 7 dollars for it, but the vegetables were priced low and they looked good even though there wasn't a huge selection like but that was just because my expectation was that it was just a fruit vegetable market. Apparently this store has changed hands since the last time I went there. I was excited at the prospect of being able to go here and shop locally for small business owners and with it being less than a half a mile away from my mom's house my goal was to go there and get lettuce, but I wind up getting a number of things That I needed from the supermarket and so when I left there, I felt satisfied. When I got home, there was a whole different story. I bought red leaf lettuce, which was rotten to the core on the inside. I had to throw it out. I also bought Romain lettuce, which was mostly the darker green leaves and less of the crisp part of the lettuce, which disappointed me a little, but I figured I could still make do I washed and cut up the lettuce and I used the pre-cut onions, celery, and carrots that I bought also from this fruit market. And I made my salad. When I was eating it, I didn't really notice anything except that the leaves were not really what I like. I don't love all Bert green leaves found at the top. But whatever. I ate it. An hour later and for five hours more, I was sick as a dog. I had to take two different stomach medicines, and Tums because something in that salad did not agree with me and then I start freaking out because the first one that I threw away was rotten so it made me feel like this lettuce wasn't that fresh or maybe it was the pre-chopped onion, celery or carrots. All I know is that I almost called out of work today. Luckily, I felt better when I got up, even though I have still have a little bit of a stomachache I called them this morning and told them that the red leaf lettuce is rotten and they need to take it off the shelves and I told the lady that I was really sick last night. She was so nonchalant about it and said OK and we hung up. I don't love that. She should've said come and get a different head of lettuce, but she didn't offer anything. And therefore, I waited till I got home from work to write this review. Unfortunately, I will not be going back here again. I usually go to Rahway Farmers Market and I don't think I've ever had this issue. I didn't take a picture of it, but I should have. Because when I tell you that the red leaf lettuce head was slimy and rotten on the inside to the point that it should've never been put on the shelf.
