The produce here is great! It's also cheaper than the big chain grocery stores. They sell a variety of things like canned goods, bread and they have a deli counter. I try to avoid coming on the weekends because it gets a little crazy in the parking lot. read more

One of my new favorite farmers market in the area. The aisles are a little tight but the fruits and veggies are super fresh with great price point. They also have a deli counter where you can order pre made food items such as fried eggplant and grape leaves appetizers. They also have fresh flowers, eggs, milk, spices, and canned items as well. read more

Finally this place has found its identity !!! (OK that might be a little dramatic lol). I had to start off with that because most locals know that this place has changed hands a few times and possibly even names. There was a period when the fruits and Veggies looked like that had been to 3 prior stores and that market was the last hope of selling. NOW I can say the store is well stocked and FRESH. The prices are good and they have a wide variety of other groceries and organic honey, tea and local Pasta items. The have fresh rolls as well as a deli counter. I love this market. It's my go-to spot for fruits and produce. Their fruit variety is so much better than any super market around. The prices for produce are also very low in comparison to other markets. Some times the fruits and veggies are not at their freshest, but lately I haven't had that problem. Great market for all kinds of fruits and vegetables, but a MUST at the deli. They make the best sandwiches/subs. There is more meat and other ingredients then there is bread! When I first stopped in this market 3 years ago, the prices were great but most of the produce looked sad. Since changing hands, that all has changed. Fresh fruit and produce, wide variety of each and prices are amazing! Asparagus $1.99 a bunch (not pound!) compared to big supermarkets. Fresh parsley, dill, mint -- sometimes 99 cents a bunch and they are huge bunches. Love the deli section and for the first time today, bought fish from the fish guy since one lady that was also shopping said she NEVER buys fish anywhere else. If I can't get to an actual farmer's market (like in the winter) I shop here every week. Only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because they have to STOP REFRIGERATING THE BASIL! Basil loves heat and they are wasting their money (and ours) because basil blackens when cold! read more

best market for fresh food in south plainfield... hell... all of new jersey if you ask me! best sandwiches made by al at the deli. very friendly workers and always fresh veggies. im the tattoo studio behind them and im in there every week several times... so lucky their behind forever ink tattoos... they carry every thing fresh from kimchi to raviolies in all different flavors. this is another well kept south plainfield secrete that i hope i just let loose. lol... youll be happy you found this place!!!!! read more
