I was also told I needed to comeback back every 3 months for cleanings or I was going to end up losing teeth. I have never had any issues with my gums and regularly go to the dentist every 6 months for my entire life. This was red flag number one. After waiting in the chair for 20 minutes, someone came in and told me the hygienist was booked today and I would have to come back later in the day or on a different day ever though I had an appointment scheduled at this time. This was the second red flag. I rebooked an appointment for another day and when I showed up at the correct time, I was told my appointment was cancelled and they did not know why. I got no notification and was told I had to rebook for another day. This was the third bad experience I had had from one appointment. I decided that this felt was too scammy and not like a serious dental office, so I never went back. I then heard one of my close friends had the same experience where they were told they had gum disease and would not clean their teeth until they paid for a certain procedure. The Dr came in and gave what my friend described as "a timeshare presentation" about how they can save money by paying $120 a month for 12 months to get the procedure done. My friend instantly knew the vibes were off and got out of there as fast as possible. I then looked at the reviews for this place and it seems to be a running theme of everyone who goes here having gun disease. This place makes their money off of lying to you and telling you you have gum disease or are at extreme risk of it so that you end up paying hundreds to dollars. BEWARE!!!

Dr. Brooksher didn't even blink an eye. He bothered to read the literature and to inform himself then went about his business and treated me like a human being. Taylor Dental has given me by far the worst experience I've ever had at a dental office. The staff…read moreis disorganized, and some of the front desk employees are extremely rude, unprofessional, and clearly unhappy with their jobs. My issues began with a scheduled filling appointment. I received a confirmation text, yet when I arrived, I was told my appointment wasn't confirmed. After waiting 30 minutes, I was then asked to come back later or reschedule -- even though I had already taken time off work. The most frustrating part is that my dental insurance was ending the very next day, and I was trying to use it before losing coverage. I filed a complaint and never heard back -- no call, no email, nothing. I also have braces through Taylor Dental, and throughout my treatment, they've had three different orthodontists. Each time, my treatment plan changed. The latest orthodontist introduced a new plan, which the front desk told me would require an extra payment. I wasn't happy, but I agreed because I just want my teeth done right. I rescheduled my next appointment for July 31, 2025 at 3:15 PM, but today I received a text asking me to confirm a 9:15 AM appointment instead. When I called to correct it, I spoke with a staff member who said she usually works at their New Orleans location. She was dismissive and rude, telling me I needed a filling first and that the 3:15 time was no longer available. After a frustrating exchange, I told her to cancel everything -- only to be told I'd owe an extra $250 for removal, even though removal and retainers are included in my treatment plan and my contract is already past its end date. This is now the second time they've canceled or changed my appointment without notifying me. The customer service is terrible, communication is poor, turnover is constant, and the quality of care is not consistent. If I hadn't called today, it would have been another wasted day. I've left another complaint -- we'll see if anyone follows up this time.

Being new to the area, I spent a lot of time researching practices that met my needs and budget. More importantly somewhere with a kind and transparent staff. Tiger Smile checked all the boxes. I told them about my anxiety and they were very accommodating. They're handling COVID-19 very well and have an effective system in place so there's no interaction with other patients. Everyone on staff- receptionists, hygienists, assistants, dentist- make you feel welcomed and comfortable. They made sure I understood my procedure and paperwork, and of course answered any questions I had. I'm not sure if this is helpful for anyone, but they do seem to have an all female staff (besides the other dentist, who I have never seen). Personally, although I'm not sure why, this helped me feel even more comfortable. Lastly, they offer an annual membership package that helps with the cost. In my research, I noticed at least half of the places I looked didn't have anything like this or even some sort of new patient discount. Tiger Smile isn't the only great option in Baton Rouge area, but it's top tier. And it was the best option for me, so I'm thankful! And my teeth and gums feel great!

They have this offer where it's only $19 for a emergency exam and X-ray. Well I went in hoping that they could help me out and they did! Apparently one of my fillings had fallen out, and since I have sensitive teeth, the nerve pain was what was causing the toothache. They treated it temporarily, gave me an rx for some high-strength ibuprofen, which worked wonders. Who would've thought. Thanks Tiger Smile for saving my family vacation. It would've been terrible if the only thing I could remember from my vacation was a toothache.
