The tacos were packed with flavor -- perfectly seasoned meat, fresh toppings, and tortillas that tasted like they were just made. The salsa had real heat and depth, not just spice for the sake of spice. You can tell they care about the food. Service was friendly and fast, even with a small line, and prices were more than fair for the portion sizes. This is the kind of spot you come back to and bring friends to. I had high hopes for this place based on the good reviews , but the carne asada street tacos were terrible. The meat was not seasoned, lacked flavor, was super fatty & hard to chew. You can tell it was from a low quality steak. The tacos are also supposed to come with cilantro but they didn't. For $4 a tacos I expected more. On a positive note, the staff is super friendly & nice & it's a cute food truck in a super cool area. Definitely worth a visit. - Quesabirria tacos: these are some of the best birria tacos around. Well prepared, delicious and the tortillas are sublime. The beef consomme added a facet to the flavor profile and while good, really isn't necessary. You have a choice of two 'salsas' (I'd call them hot sauces) - I chose the hot. Very tasty and not wimpy at all. Two tacos is enough for a moderately filling meal. Big eaters might want more. The menu is ripe for exploring, particularly the mole dishes. The Beef Consomme and Quesa Birria blew our mind. We've tried this a few times before at other restaurants and they have been greasy. This food truck did an excellent job at this dish. We think of this dish often and when I am back in the area I plan swing by to get another order. There is a great spot to sit and enjoy your food. There is a stage, I think they have music here sometimes. There is a tent with heaters, which is great because it was freezing when we were here. My 5-star review is really a review of the quesabirria torta! Everything about the sandwich was awesome. The bread remained intact and almost crispy, despite being coated in sauce. The filling was perfectly matched to the size of the bread and stayed inside even when dipping continuously in the consome, which had a really complex flavor going on. The size of the sandwich was also perfect. I'm used to either leaving half a sandwich for later or consuming the entire thing and wish I hadn't lol. This was the prefect amount of food for aa lunch that didn't weigh me down. I've wanted to try this place for a while, but was intimidated by its location and potential parking issues. Turns out, parking was a breeze! There are several parking spaces right next to the food court. You just have to venture down the alley just past Bunk n Brew and avoid other buisiness' parking areas. Now that I know they have close parking and more importantly, how damn good that torta is, I will definitely be back! read more

The Carnitas were not great, they needed some Buche or chicharron, just lacked flavor, even a little dry for carnitas. Side of pinto beans were good! Rice was a little flavorless. It's definitely 5-star and the best tacos in Bend. We had the 2 Quesabirria Taco specialty with a cup of Consome. Both the beef and pork Birria Tacos were beyond delicious...probably the best we've had, and they were enormous! The price is reasonable and the outdoor seating (with the canines) was nice. the parking situation is a little sketchy, but after you walk past the dumpster and other trash containers all is good. I read about Alebrije Oaxaca in the Source article about quesabirria tacos and had to check them out. I was blown away at the flavor of the consomé and the ridiculously delicious quesabirria tacos. They were perfectly fried on the grill, and stuffed full of tender shredded meat. Two tacos seems to be the perfect amount for me for lunch, and three is only attainable when I'm super hungry. Their salsa is excellent as well. I've taken a half dozen people here since and they're all raving about how great the food is here. The staff are extremely friendly, and they offer things on the menu that you rarely find outside of Mexico. I wish they were in a better location, such as Podksi's or Spoken Moto since parking can be a bit challenging to find nearby. read more

I ordered a carne asada quesadilla. They are not using skirt steak traditionally used for carne asada. 70% of the meat pieces in my quesadilla were pieces of fat. I just was so not impressed with this food truck. Got two burritos and neither was marked so my kid had a bite of mine before we realized which was which. Got forks, knives and napkins, which we didn't need and 6 cups of salsa which was too many. So it was really really spicy and didn't have flavor. My wife liked the enchiladas mole at first but then had to get rid of something gross that was in her mouth. My chicken burrito was really dry and my kid thought the carnitas was just OK. Burritos were advertised as having guacamole and I added sour cream on the phone, and heard the guy repeat it to me, but neither burrito had guacamole nor sour cream. Friend suggested we try Alebrije Oaxaca for dinner. Wow! Fantastic food. He had memelita with steak. I had QuesaBirria tacos. We also shared a serving of nachos. So much food! Memelita comes with mole sauce and does not skimp on portion size. My QeusaBirria tacos were filled with meat and are grilled for a crispy shell and come with a spicy consomme. The order of nachos was huge. We took enough home to have for lunch the next day. Also got horchata. It is served with pecans and cantaloupe. Never had it that way. Loved it. We ordered food for lunch today to be delivered by delivery service. The driver delivered half the order, and the half that was ordered arrived incorrectly. So we ordered the items we were missing again. A different driver delivered the wrong order again. The item came with meat but we needed a vegetarian item so this is going straight to the trash. I would definitely recommend the Queso Birria taco if you visit. It was absolutely fantastic. I also enjoyed the mole enchiladas. The vegan taco was hefty which is awesome to see, you're getting a lot of food packed into that tortilla. I do think it could be way more flavorful, it kind of feels like a salad in a tortilla. There's a bit of avocado crema on top, but it's not enough, nor is the taco itself particularly creative or exciting. The chicken taco similarly just wasn't very flavorful. The truck is in a cool little plaza with a couple other trucks, lots of tables, couches, and a hammock. It's a really great spot to hang out with friends. A boost in the flavor department on some of their items to bring them up to the same level as their bests will solidify this place as a must visit. read more
