    Mexican Breakfast Burrito
    Rebecca S.

Great breakfast today. Went to get a great breakfast burrito by recommendation of someone. Very friendly, and quick service. Clean and cool atmosphere. Burrito was large and very good. I will definitely come back.

Jalapeno burrito with red and green salsas

Ordered a jalapeno burrito with Chicken Tinga. I was excited by the description that starts with "Fried Jalapenos...". I was thinking of breaded and fried jalapenos that would add a crispy texture but found the jalapenos to feel as if they were sautéed. A little disappointing, but not a big deal. The Chicken Tinga had a good flavor and made up a good proportion of the burrito (you can see in the cross-section photo). I really enjoyed the size of this burrito. With many burritos in town, I am stuffed if I eat the entire burrito. With this burrito, I was satisfied but didn't feel like I overate. That's the good news. The bad news? That smaller portion size is not reflected in the price. In fact, their burritos are more expensive than a number of places in town. I'll be back to try something else at some point, but with so many burrito choices in town, this one isn't at the top of my list.

Burrito Hooch is like that friend who doesn't dress flashy but always shows up with great snacks. The Mexican-style breakfast burrito (with added guac and sour cream)is an eggy, cheesy, saucy masterpiece that could unite nations. Inside, you'll find plenty of seats, a bar, and décor that feels like the previous restaurant just left their stuff behind--functional, not tragic. Small parking lot in back, because the burrito gods care about you.

This place has only been open for 7months and idk how there isn't a line out the door. You have small joint service with big time food. There's a bar, coffee, and smothered burritos, football was on. Everything is well decorated and looks incredible- prestige & CLEAN. This place is better than most foody places I've been to. 10/10

I went in at 4:30 pm and bellied up. There was one other woman, Veronica from Alaska, at the bar. I knew I wanted the burrito grande but didn't know which protein. Chris, the bartender and owner, recommended the carnitas with salsa verde. I had to try the habanero, too, so I got half with that. Chris said that this would be the best burrito I've ever had. It was definitely up there. Chris also owns SDiego's which is parked at the Commonwealth Pub. Excited to try that, too. Can't wait to go back to Burrito Hooch.

The food is good, sat down with the owner Chris. More than willing to hear, the feedback. Food Temp A grade Taste of food A Presentation A Size and Quality B Service is tables. Not built for to go. Will soon have breakfast burritos. Chips and salsa available, not cheap. Have beer and mixed drinks! Inside is bright and cherry, big screen tv showing snow sports. Seating not available for groups. Not child friendly. No permits for outdoor setting yet. Prices are very Bend like. Burrito start at $10.95 and add $4.00-$8.00 for a protein of margarita chicken. I had a carne asada, with beans and no cheese. No rice, no pico de gallo! Location was the old Breakfast Club.

Hubby had classic Eggs Benedict that he said was very good. I started with a warm Chai and a Bobbin for Apples Mimosa which was magical. Having read the reviews I was prepared to order the stuffed croissant French toast. Last minute change of heart- I ordered the Gobbler, a roast turkey sandwich on a croissant with a flavor profile reminiscent of Thanksgiving. The sweetness of the fig jam played well with the poached pear, savory turkey and peppery arugula. Dessert will have to wait until our next visit. The pastry counter at the front of the restaurant displays cinnamon roles, scones, muffins and impressive cakes. There's even a marionberry and white chocolate bread pudding that would make a wonderful brunch choice.

I was in town for 4 days and ate there 3 times, breakfast, lunch and dinner!! It's a must period. One thing that was very inconvenient. You have to order at the counter and there's only one person. For breakfast the line was out the door with a 45 min wait just to order, and most of all the tables were empty. In other words, it makes no sense to have one register with all the tables they have. People are obviously eating fast then ordering your food. It's like have 1 waitress to take orders. They must either have waitresses or multiple registers to order. One order at a time and mist of them are large groups which makes it even harder to order. Everyone is adding food to there orders at the counter because that's when you see all the amazing backed goods, but it is way to time consuming. They can triple their sales easily!! That must change!!

You can also customize your meal as needed. To order, you stand in line like at a food court counter, but in a fancy way. While we were there, the line stretched to the door most of the time but it moves fast. This is the time you use to choose your bottle of wine, pick food, and browse the pastries on display. There were several places to sit indoors and out after placing the order. The kids hade the garlic bites (fried balls of bread with garlic and cheese...looked like doughnut holes!) and a pizza. They can add pepperoni to a cheese pizza for the particular children in your life. My husband and I shared a Cobb salad, no croutons to make it gf (the lemon dill dressing was AMAZING! Actually, this whole salad was very good). We also intended to share the NY strip with chimichurri. However, we didn't read that it comes with bread and a side salad (great!) and roasted vegetables in romesco sauce (also great!). My husband is allergic to nuts and so he couldn't eat any. That is not a complaint...all on us! The menu is clearly marked. But be aware if you have a nut allergy to specify that you can't have the romesco sauce. Or let the order taker know, as they are informed on modifications and whatnot. So he ate the salad and done pizza. I ate most of the steak and veggies. Everything tasted really good. The steak was a bit gristly. But the chimichurri was great. My absolute favorite thing was the elote cake with tajin buttercream. It was not a sweet cake. But it was heavenly. I should have grabbed another piece before we left. It was creative and salty and delicious and I still want it two days later. Service was great. Food is brought out as it's ready, not all at once. And the side salad and bread is brought before the main dish. The people were friendly and helpful. This was a great place and I would definitely go back.

That's fine, places get busy quickly on a Sunday morning. Ended up waiting nearly an hour. It happens and sometimes it's worth it for good food. Our waitress was kind but clearly needed more help. Took her 15 minutes to get to our table. I asked her to level with me: How long would our food really take, because we have two antsy kids. She says 20 minutes. That's quick! Okay, we order. 10 minutes later, they say sorry we are out of orange juice. We did not order orange juice. They say they do have chocolate milk, which we did order. Glass (like, adult glass) comes for my kid and the guy explains they are out of chocolate milk so they mixed cold milk with hot cocoa powder. Looks chunky. He apologizes and says he needs to go across the street to get orange juice and chocolate milk so we can wait if we want. We don't. We just want to eat and leave. I order iced coffee (on the menu), they only have canned cold brew. Not ideal but fine. Burger (something I could honestly make at home) comes with dry breakfast potatoes. The flattest pancakes I've ever seen, complete with black grease marks from the griddle. I appreciate that the patio was nice and there was a water bowl for our dog but there were so many rookie mistakes that it felt like a restaurant that just opened last week and we're working out kinks. I'm actually annoyed at the 5-star reviews because there's no way they are at the same place we did.

The coffee was good and the server kept the coffee and 1/2 and 1/2 coming. We both ordered the Smoked Salmon Eggs Bennie for $27 a plate. It took over an hour to get our food. We also did not have silverware and had to request it when the food came. For the prices of this place they need to get it together. This place is $$$ spendy for brunch. $27.00 for eggs Bennie and they were pretty stingy with the hollandaise sauce. It was nothing spectacular. The eggs Bennie were decent and the potatoes were tasty. They took 25% off of our meals for our wait and gave us free coffee. As a former server, there is no way I would I make chill diners who did not complain or get mad pay for 75% of their meals after they waited over an hour for their food.
