Delicious food, cooked fresh to order! Owner took care of our table and was really nice and considerate. We live a block over and happy to have such a place right nearby! Thank you and definitely will be back.

Came here for a coffee date. The cafe itself is very cute, small but cute. It was a quite Friday afternoon so not many customers. The staff was very nice. However, the matcha latte I ordered was just okay, very milky and creamy but I didn't taste caffeine. Overall, it's a cute little cafe where you can spend your afternoon at.

I found a new favorite breakfast ALL day Cafe! Very courteous and professional service. An impressively creative interior decor. The best I've seen for cafes. Make sure to visit the Telephone booth :) I'm already eagerly looking forward to visit again. One downside- no baby strollers. But necessity for managing square footage.

Newly opened coffee shop (that also sells tea, smoothies, fruit juices) that you can dine in or take out. I am glad that there is coffee shop around the neighborhood - I think it is needed! The interior was spacious with nice decor, seats were very comfy. It is a great place to catch up with friends or to people watch (if you are sitting on the stool area facing 65th street). There is also free wifi here if you sit in. Staff was very friendly and attentive - welcoming and thanking every customer. We tried a cup of black coffee, cappuccino and Nonni's biscotti. The quality and taste of the coffee and cappuccino was good. Nonni's brand biscotti was good too. They also have slices of random cakes, pies, tarts, etc. They also sell sandwiches, crepes, and salads. P.S- if you dine in, there is a mandatory 10% gratuity fee charged to your bill

This place is the definition of classy in the front, PARTY IN THE BACK. In the morning, it is a beautiful, laid back and relaxing cafe. They serve the classics including cappuccinos, lattes and fruit teas. Now when the sun is goes down, the lights get dimmer and this cafe turns into a full fledged bar! Morning or night, this place sets the right mood. There is also a food menu if anyone is starving I arrived at around 3pm to meet up with a friend and there were about 5 people at this cafe. There were friends catching up and people reading books. Make sure to check in on yelp for a 10% off! I ordered a kiwi lemon pomegranate tea which is absolutely beautiful. Unfortunately, I found the tea to be pretty bland, without either a tea or fruity aftertaste. Coming from an Asian household, I am very used to STRONG, IN YOUR FACE tea flavors so I was a bit disappointed in that it tasted watered down. However, they use fresh fruit in their teas and it was also a beautiful drink so it was alright. I will definitely be trying out their coffees next time because my friend highly recommends them. All in all, a solid cafe, but I just recommend sticking to coffee rather than tea!

    What are the business hours?

Right now appears to be 10am-10PM M-F I just walked over and it was closed on Sunday :(

Is this a study cafe where u can sit and get work done for a few hours?

Yes normally but due to covid the dining area is closed. I am happy to report that they now have outside seating!

Would recommend not sitting directly in the aisle in front of the door if it can be helped as it's a major traffic area. We started with bread and za'atar, ended up getting the shawarma pizza and wings. So much food that we had to take the majority of the pizza home. Everything was so flavorful, cannot wait to come back.

Arrived early for dinner and stood at the door for a while with no acknowledgment. There were only a few customers so not very busy. I eventually walked to the back and asked a server if I'm supposed to seat myself. I was finally seated and then another wait. Almost felt ignored... A server finally came by to ask my order but since it was my first time I asked for suggestions. I settled on the vegan platter ($24) so I could try a variety of items. I also got the Labne and Shay Ma Na Na ($8) (mint tea).. They also provide a complimentary pita, olives, and zaatar. The platter is large enough to share between two. The dawali (grape leaves) lacked flavor, thin in size, and not much rice inside. Typically they have a nice tang to them and have more rice filling. There is a salad of just greens and large onion rings. I'd suggest using the olive oil as dressing. Falafel and dip was basic. The labne felt like something was missing, maybe needed more salt/zaatar or lemon. The tea was decent but the traditional pot it comes in leaks. I mentioned this and was told yea it does. I was given paper napkins. The traditional pot looks cool, but leaves wet drops of tea every time you try to pour in a cup. I'd suggest something else to avoid a wet table. My table was also wobbling. While the server tried to add paper to even it out, it still wobbled. Ended up moving to another table. There is a restroom downstairs. No elevator. Overall, loved the artwork and look of the place, but the food and service could be better. Perhaps I'll return to try the desserts someday.

I ordered the chicken schwarma plate and falafel salad which were excellent - the fries were terrific and the overall atmosphere was to die for - it's a nice cozy space and the service was excellent The owner cares deeply about serving quality food at a reasonable price - they make challah bread over the weekends which sells out fast Definitely try this place you won't be disappointed

Israeli style with pickles, which I love. The chickpea soup was a standout. So flavorful and nourishing; definitely a nod to the sopa de garbanzos that I grew up with. The generous portion of labane is rich and complimented by herbs and an excellent olive oil. But it only comes with one pita! Personally, I'd prefer a smaller portion with more bread. Ok, first, let's be accurate about a few things. Etymologically, "batata" comes from the Spanish for "potato." This is a nod to "Sephardic" Jews, from the Hebrew word for the Iberian Peninsula (by definition, Spain and Portugal; after "expulsion," this came to include a diaspora more broadly northern African. In order words, western and southern European, not Eastern like Ashkenazi Jews.)

The eggs were cooked to perfection, the tuna was fresh and generous, and the coffee was so good I got another one to take with us on our walk through the park. Usually the vibe is this: bright, airy, cafe featuring breakfast plates, many of them vaguely Mediterranean, with continuous additions made to the menu announced via large sign print outs taped up all over the walls and windows of the space. While he's tested out a burger spot, an ice cream concept, his most successful business has to be Cafe Madeline, directly next door to this here Atelier December. With Atelier December, and with Victorian Cafe over on Coney Island Ave and Cortelyou, he's pretty much replicated this formula with much success, as it was packed on the Monday afternoon I visited. Unique to this menu are the pancakes, which come in the flavors pistachio, hazelnut praline, lemon zest, and coconut. I opted for the coconut and it was the best thing on my table. The turmeric fried eggs plate I got sounded promising but was decidedly mediocre and way way oversalted. The cardamom latte was delicious. So some hits and one miss, but overall a solid cafe to get some work done, catch up with a friend, or to take yourself on a solo brunch date to.
