I like this place for a cute no frills brunch experience. It's a nice place in the neighborhood to come for a chat and decent brunch food. I've been here twice and both times I came I got the Dulce de Leche cinnamon latte and the French toast with fruits. Both very yum. I also have had their croissant breakfast sandwich which was also yum. The service is okay, not the greatest when it comes to being seated or acknowledged when you walk in. You kind of have to have been there before to understand how the set up works. You order at the front and grab a table if any left. You grab a menu so you can peruse on line before it's your turn to order. Then you're given a table number stand which you place on your table so the servers know where to bring your food. I try to explore new places in my nabe, Bay Ridge. Milk and Honey is a fairly new restaurant offering and all day menu with varieties of coffee, grains, yogurt and special plates like Turkish eggs and sausage, banana bread with mascarpone, halloumi, Shakshuka, grilled flank steak sandwich.. very eclectic menu where one can find so much to choose from. When I visited on a Sunday afternoon, the place was packed and the various dishes swirling above my head. There is a soft atmosphere with light lighting and airy tables. I just wanted to order the yogurt with granola and mixed berries to go for work breakfast. The server at the counter was extremely friendly and told me my order would come out in a few. I asked for a glass of water and took a seat and waited. I will definitely return to dine in. As for the yogurt, it took me two days to finish it. Such a cool cafe! I stopped by Milk and Honey for lunch. They have a wide menu perfect for any dietary preference. I ordered the smash avocado toast with an egg. They have indoor and outdoor seating. What I like most is that this cafe is pretty versatile: you can have lunch, catch up with friends, or work remotely. While I was only able to stop by for a bit. I can't wait to stop by again. The café was really cute and nicely decorated! I loved their big selection of drinks and lattes -- the tiramisu latte was especially delicious. As for the breakfast menu, I do wish they had more customizable options; I remember struggling to choose what to get. The chicken flatbread was great -- the chipotle sauce on top was the real star. The cast iron dish with sausage, though, wasn't my favorite; it was a bit too tart from the tomatoes and just had too much going on, plus the eggs were overcooked. The French toast was nice and fluffy, but I wish there was a more neutral flavor option (not everyone wants blueberries mixed in). One big disappointment was the brownie I took to go -- when I got home, it was completely raw inside, which is definitely a health concern, and it also tasted like boxed mix. I ordered take out from here & it did not disappoint. I had the kale salad with avocado, butternut squash, and grilled halloumi (amongst other things as well). Needless to say, it was delicious. I definitely recommend adding a protein to it whether it's chicken or you can do what I did & add more halloumi to it (power move if you ask me). The balsamic vinaigrette made it full circle as well and was the right dressing for the salad for a lack of better terms. You pick a seat anywhere you like, order your food at the counter and pick it up from there.. you then sit down and enjoy your meal. Definitely wouldn't recommend. I understood the B rating immediately. Flies were everywhere. They allowed dogs in the restaurant on top of this which was ridiculous. I am a dog lover and I'm always down for a cafe that's dog friendly. However, not when it's full of flies it screams unhygienic. The menu was limited for me to try because I refused to eat and only would get tea in a to go cup. The tea was definitely worth the price. I got about four or so cups out of the teapot and they had a unique and wide variety to choose from. The teapot also kept the tea warm for about 20 mins or so. My friend raved about the pancakes so there is that ! The food tastes well I guess but he agreed that he may not come back as a regular because of the flies. Came here with a friend this morning to get some breakfast and kill some time. I got the three eggs in hell, a side of halloumi cheese, a dulche de leche latte and a chocolate chip cookie to take home for my son. The bill came out to about $47 with the tip. The fact that the latte cost $10 and was the size of a Starbucks tall cup is absolutely mind boggling. It was good but not $10 for 2 sips good! The eggs in Hell were ok, nothing to brag about, but they were very filling and I was not able to finish it and took the leftovers home. The halloumi cheese was okay too, nothing special. When you get there, grab a seat, find what you want to eat, then order at the register! The service was minimal since you don't interact with them often, but the vibes were nice. I loved the interior and appreciated that they kept the integrity of the building. They also have a cute covered patio with flowers falling from the ceiling. My friends and I all got different dishes but I got the turkish eggs and OMG, they were soooo good! It is not what I expected at all, but in a good way. So so flavorful and had a bit of a quick. i tried this place yesterday with my close friend. upon walking into the establishment, you're supposed to grab a menu, order at the front, they give you a number and you set it on an available table. i've been to places like this before, but it would've been nice if the person at the front let us know exactly what was going on, they just kinda of stared at us and went back to what they were doing, a simple "do you need any help?" or "have you been here before?" would've worked. it was busy, so not a big deal, but something to keep in mind. they have indoor seating and enclosed outdoor seating but there are no heaters. the insulation isn't great out there, so it's a bit chilly if you go in the winter. put on an extra layer or two because where you sit depends on what's available. the food was delicious. i ordered the eggs on a croissant with a side of breakfast potatoes and the dulce de leche latte. they have an extensive drink selection so it was really hard for me to decide, a good problem to have though. the croissant sandwich was amazing, i'd def order it again. my friend ordered the avocado grilled chicken club, and she throughly enjoyed it. the hot sauce brought it over the top and she also enjoyed the breakfast potatoes. overall, this is an a great choice for a casual brunch. give this spot a shot! read more

I was really excited but when I got there I was a little frustrated because the staff wasnt there to help the customers and it was confusing where to order and where to sit. Also, the breakfast platter was a little underwhelming since the bacon and the sausage was on the dry side and the portion was small for the price. Upon entry everyone working was a bit occupied and there was no hostess so we were off to a confusing start. Once we found some seats and ordered we proceeded to wait 20 minutes before our drinks came out. We waited a bit more before one of the servers asked us what we ordered ??? In total we waiting 52 minutes for our food. Now for the food- the chicken flatbread was delicious. It was soft and fluffy, definitely recommend. The grilled steak panini was tasty as well. As everybody has said so far, this is a satisfying spot for brunch, with nice portions and decent service. The food here is entirely Halal, which is the Islamic equivalent of kosher; you will not see any pork products served here. All meats are Halal, which I have said in previous reviews, are okay with me. Moving on. I got plenty of things for breakfast as I was plenty hungry this morning. The pastries are all fresh and delicious. They are warmed are a great way to start a day. I got an orange juice as well, and though I finished it all, it had a bit of a Tang feel than drinking orange juice. As for the main item I got, my server recommended me the Mexican Fiesta, or their breakfast burrito. It is chockfull of things that I would expect to see in a breakfast burrito. It comes with sour cream and salsa verde, and nothing else. While it is tasty, and adding the salsa verde takes the burrito up a notch, it could use some breakfast potatoes or rice and refried beans. Since it is not a Mexican restaurant, I will forgive them for this infraction, but something to consider. Their hours are great too! They open early and close rather late, and all items are offered at all times of day. That is huge for anybody. Find some time and come visit. read more

The service was okay, the cashier would attend the people and also manage to prepare the coffee, but then when I arrived there was a line and we were waiting without nobody asking or saying this is the line, im guessing people ordered in advance cause they got serve first even they got there after!! This is a me thing, but I always ask which Matcha (from the ones they had) would they recommend (the server) and the guy was not very helpful sadly! Even my friend who doesn't normally like brunch food thought their food hit the mark. We also got the rose latte and lavender latte which were very fragrant. I really liked everything about my grilled halloumi sandwich except for the halloumi itself but that might just be a preference thing (not sure I've ever had halloumi before). The ambiance of the restaurant is fitting to the neighborhood. It is a beautiful restaurant with thoughtful decor. There is definitely limited space. However, they recently opened up a patio, outdoor dining area. The owner also allows larger parties, like mine, sit in the next door restaurant. It's an interesting concept to not really have a waitstaff to take orders with how busy they get. Instead all patrons must go to the one counter, with the one cashier that they have. This setup caused a long line for ordering. Additionally, there was no clear direction when you walk in. No signs that say "seat yourself". You don't find out what to do until you approach a staff member. The staff member that we talked to was helpful and grabbed the owner (I assume) to ask if my large party could sit in the next door area. We ordered: - spicy lamb flatbread - 2 chef brekkie pans - 2 weekend alert - 1 hello gorgeous - 1 crème brûlée French toast - 3 raspberry lychee crushed - 1 pistachio latte - 1 Arnold Palmer The winners were the spicy lamb flatbread and crème brûlée French toast. The spicy lamb flatbread was done really well! The crème brûlée French toast was too however I wasn't getting any hint of crème brûlée but rather a buttery taste. Still a really great dish. The chef brekkie pan was good but it had too many green peppers, the egg was over cooked, and we would have preferred to have more than 1 sausage with our large cast iron pans. The hello gorgeous was overall a great dish. However the chicken in both the hello gorgeous and weekend alert were not seasoned. It definitely needed more seasoning to elevate the dish. The raspberry lychee crush was a smoothie rather than an iced beverage... the menu needs to specify what they mean by crush because we assumed that crush meant over ice. Everyone was expecting it to be like a mocktail rather than a smoothie. The Arnold Palmer tasted weird - it had a mango flavor and was more lemonade rather than iced tea. It also do not come sweetened and I had to add sweetener in for my husband. I didn't think that was going to be the norm. I had assumed they would sweeten it since it is an Arnold Palmer. Pistachio latte was good but I was hoping for it to look like a previous picture that I saw on Yelp. I didn't get pistachios on top. If we had a waiter, it would have been more clear what we should have ordered or not. So hopefully this restaurant eventually invests in a waitstaff, especially for peak hours. The baked eggs dish tasted good at first several bites but after that I found it too spicy for me to eat anymore. The drink was supposed to be juice but more or less it looked like water plus some vegetable puree and was overall very watery. Plus, the dishes were a bit pricey - it cost me about $30 in total.
