    New mexico philly
    John S.

New mexico philly, I ordered this sandwich and this is what I got home with. What's with the lettuce, tomato onion garnish. The bread was absolutely glutenous and the cheese is congealed. The undercooked small portion of fried potatoes is inedible. The "philly" meat is obviously store bought. This third and final chance that was given to this resaurant. I was excited for the new launch however, It has turned out to be a huge disappointment. At least all the roosters are gone.

    Damn good burgers!

I've been here before and my review was fair but I'm going to add a star because we sat down to eat here, outside of course, and I had one of the best burgers I've had in a long time. Portions are huge, prices are very affordable and the service was great. Two thumbs up.

    Pasole & Jarritos
    Nikke A.

While driving from Socorro to Gallup, we wanted a bowl of pasole and menudo. This place did not disappoint. The salsa tasted freshly made and had the perfect amount of spice. The pasole was very well seasoned. The menudo was also delicious. The service staff were very attentive. I highly recommend this establishment.

Decent NM Mexican food. Carne adobada is delicious. Salsa was yummy, but the chips were stale. Huevos rancheros was ok.

Huevos Carne Adovada with hasbrowns and beans

It was just a great place and a great breakfast. Couldn't resist ordering a special from the specials board -- Huevos Rancheros with Carne Adovada with red sauce. The eggs, ordered over easy, were perfectly over easy. The beans were tasty with just the right amount of chew. The Carne Adovada was pulled rather than in chunks. The texture was tender and succulent. The sauce was right on with its flavor. It was not hot, but it had a nice chile-ness. The hash browns, not something I am used to with this dish, were cooked to a nice crisp with interior tenderness. Wish the corn tortilla under it all had been better, but that was minor. The side of flour tortillas was spectacular. They were freshly homemade and had a nice amount of charring from their grilling. Great taste and texture. The interior was clean and well maintained, the kitchen looked spotless, and the server was efficient, kind and considerate. There was nothing to deduct a star for and I can't imagine what they could do to earn any more than the 5 stars they are getting.

The food is authentic and very good. We will continue to go back. The chili doesn't have any flour in it, and supports my gluten free diet.

Delicious food. Pretty sure the tortillas are homemade. The posole was soooo good. Service was fantastic.

I ordered the shredded beef enchiladas with a fried egg on top, garnished with tomatoes, onions, lettuce and sour cream. I'm from California, and don't get to have sopapillas at home-unless I make them-so I of course had to order half a dozen to go. They were nice enough to give me a portion cup of honey to go with them. They have wonderful red chile sauce on their enchiladas. So good in fact, that my mouth is watering as I write this review. My aunt had the chile rellenos ala carte, and she commented on how good it was and how they stuffed it with quite a bit of melty and gooey cheese. I definitely want to eat here again before I head back to California! I miss all of the good food here in New Mexico that I devoured as a child. Montano's really hit the spot!

The chile is packed with incredible flavor, the meat is cooked to perfection, and the sopapilla itself is the reason I crave this dish again and again. The day before, my aunt and I had lunch at Montano's (DELICIOUS!), but I just can't get enough of yummy sopapillas, enchiladas, etc..., so my whole family went to Rita's today. Such a disappointing experience! I ordered the chile rellenos plate, with red chile, and found out that they don't even make them (the rellenos) at the restaurant. They are premade-badly, I might add-and they were dry and just plain awful! They had just a dribble of red sauce, so that was a letdown. The sopapillas were very greasy. The service was great though, the only redeeming factor. Jessica was super nice and attentive. I just was very sad that my "last meal" in New Mexico was so terrible.

Came here for a meeting with friends and the service was good and the food was delicious. Plenty of tables and nice places to sit. It did get a little noisy at times but, it was ok. Waitress was attentive and food was brought quickly. Place was clean. Bad thing...they don't allow service dogs, except for blind patrons. To me, a service dog is a service dog and they should not be discriminated.
