Aleo's has all sorts of stuff here. You can get anything from stromboli to sandwiches to penne vodka. That is exactly what I did. The stromboli was delicious. The sandwiches were your standard fare. I likes the fried eggplant with mozzarella and peppers. The chicken was a little rubbery but still serviceable. The penne vodka was decent as well. Aleo's is a 3.5 star spot. One of those that if you need a bite it wouldn't do you wrong but won't wow you either. read more

I just had to try it again, and decided for the first time in 20 years, to have someone else (Aleos) cater for my family on Christmas Day. They did not disappoint. Would put a negative star if that was an option, my mother ordered on the phone for my dad's birthday and everything we received was wrong plus we were missing salad, bread and dessert and then when I called to ask if we could fix it they told me no and blamed my 84 year old mother. I was sitting next to her when she ordered and I heard her specifically ask for the "dinner package ". Unfortunately My dad picked everything up and did not know that items were missing or why. The meat, pasta, cheeses, salads, and sauces are consistently delicious and freshly prepared. No order is too big or small they are always there for us and are a pleasure to work with. I would just like to include that I will always remember the integrity of the owner and staff of Aleo during hurricane sandy. Many in our community was without electricity for two weeks. The people at Aleo's rose to the occasion with their generator and start pumping out delicious pizza pies to literally feed our community. Aleo's did the food for my husband's repass and everything was delicious. I'm Italian and very fussy when it comes to eating Italian food outside of home, but the food beat my expectations. The eggplant rollatini was perfect nice bite and just the right amount of cheese. Baked ziti, sausage and peppers, chicken parmigiana and meatballs were just like mama makes. I was very disappointed with the service. I ordered for Thanksgiving on Tuesday the antipasto, 2 lbs for $50.00 mind you. I placed my order and was told to come back tomorrow at 12:30. The gentlemen that was there said you can come back in a couple of hours maybe I could make it. I was like no problem I'll just pick it up tomorrow. I leave my information credit card, and then I get a call later that day saying they can not fill the order. So now I have to go out the next day buy everything and put it together and we all know how crowded everything is now. Do NOT get spaghetti and meatballs on the kids menu, hot dogs or any of their subs. Their sauce is super pasty and not flavored at all, also their hot dog is in a regular Portuguese roll. My friends ordered a sub and they asked for hot peppers and got jalapeños. Instead of oil and vinegar they got balsamic. I know places that will explain before they deliver should they improvise on anything. And this place surely did not. They only received one star for the fast delivery. read more

When calling the store to speak to a manager he was not available nor did I ever receive a phone call back As requested. I was told there would be a credit for me well needless to say that didn't happen either. Upon calling to place an order to use my credit the person then told me I was supposed to bring the food back that I was unpleased with, asked to speak with a manager again that did not happen. Whenever I'm in Lincroft I stop in for a quick lunch. I go straight to the back refrigerator section as that is where they have all their grab and go stuff. I usually get a salad with grilled chicken. They have all kinds of salads and if it doesn't have grilled chicken they will put it on for you. I usually also pick up some wraps for my family. They have a good selection of cold cuts and already prepared foods in the deli counter. Italian cookies and bread too. Small place and very popular especially around lunch time. No seating to eat. Prices are on the higher end for some stuff so buy things here you can't get cheaper in the supermarket. They do have excellent quality and everyone is really nice. read more

There are very specific things that are good, but most of it is not so great. Cold cuts are very pricey - I think Whole Foods might be cheaper. Best Market is just about half the price. So avoid buying them here if you can. Cold prepared foods are very pricey and hit or miss. Pre-made salads are good, pre-made wraps are not - they wrap them so part of the parchment paper is inside the wrap, so you must undo the whole thing to take it out. If you wait online for a fresh sandwich - they're very good, although the line can be a little long and there's not much room to stand (to be fair, that's not their fault). However, best of all - their homemade ricotta reigns supreme. It's a little on the sweet side, but I love it that way. read more

I really would like to give this place a good review, but it's actually just overpriced average food and service. Most of the boxed pasta I've bought there tasted freezer burned and terrible (and I've given numerous opportunities!) Half the time I ask for thin-sliced deli meats, they slice it EXTRA THICK! For $12/pound for regular Boars Head ham, least they can do is slice to request. Premium food prices not commensurate with quality of food. Pre-made food behind glass is hit or miss. On the plus side, bread is pretty good for the area. Order anything and see for yourself -- overall quality and service doesn't merit premium pricing. read more

The quality of the food is solid, on par with salumerias in Brooklyn and Staten Island. My main issue is with the speed of service, or lack thereof. You can stand there for five minutes before one of the guys behind the deli stops whatever it is they're doing and asks if you need help. Once they do help you, it's at a snails pace. I've read all the other reviews about this place and I must say I have the complete opposite opinion.. first off authentic Italian food does not come out of a box of ronzoni, it's made from fresh ingredients and pastas.. First off I arrived 10 minutes before my scheduled pick up time of 1 o'clock. Waited at the counter for ten minutes before anybody even asked me if I was being helped.. Once helped I told them what I was there for and things just got worse from there, the young girl behind the counter( really the only reason they earned a star) was very friendly and helpful, came back and couldn't find my ticket with the order.. it eventually surface 15 minutes later without the owner even acknowledging the situation although he was standing there watching this occur.. so finally now 1:30 they begin to bring my food to the front... Oh and by the way I ordered a tray of chicken scallopine a tray of penne with smoked mozzarella and veggies and a 4 foot Italian sandwich 3 simple items 254.00 bucks.. Getting my money was the quickest thing they did!!!! I was always under the impression that HOT CATERED FOOD MEANT HOT!!! Not so much the case here, my food was brought out to me cold, so now I have a house full of hungry guest who had to wait an hour for me to heat the food up.. I also went next door to there pizza parlor and experienced the same poor quality and service.. My brother ordered a large plain pie 20 minutes before we got there and it still wasn't done, matter of fact the pie was never cooked because the minimum wage high school staff never put the order in.. So I settled for a pie that was previously cooked and sitting on the counter.. Great management!!! I would never eat here again nor would I ever tell anyone else to, POORLY managed and mediocre food at best(with a kitchen staff full of south Americans) If you are considering having this place cater your meals, re think it and go to the olive garden, AT LEAST THERE BOXED PASTA'S WILL BE SERVED HOT!!!! read more

Wowwwww. This deli has a gigantic selection of creative Italian food. I absolutely loved it. I came here with a friend and we got a POUND of fresh ravioli, marinated in seasonings and oil with all kinds of grilled peppers and sun-dried tomatoes. It was so incredibly flavorful that I can practically taste it when I close my eyes... a week later! I could tell that all of the ingredients were fresh and that the ravioli was homemade. The cheese filling was really creamy, too. One of the best parts was that we ordered a pound, plus two Pellegrinos, and the total was TEN BUCKS. If I were to go to Manganaro's in Hell's Kitchen or somewhere else in NYC, that same order would have easily been twenty dollars. Really worth it. And easy to pass by... so pay attention! read more
