Ruby welcomed us to the tasting room and patiently poured and explored with us the several kinds we were considering. It was a lot of fun, an experience we highly recommend as a part of wedding preparations. We left with a case of excellent bottles of reds, whites, and cider that we are excited to share with our guests.

It really depends on your palette, and you have to understand that the grapes local to the area will not be your typical grapes. My family got flights, both sweet and dry. We really liked the 2023 Louise and 2022 Marquette. In fact, the Marquette was the best of the bunch from my point of view. The ciders were both really sweet, but the Eden Angeljus was pretty good and reminiscent of Mead. The Riesling was also a favorite. We got a cheeseboard for two, and that was freaking delicious. It came with a maple cranberry preserve that was out of this world. But the cheese, and even the crackers, were exceptionally good, too. Beyond that, the service was exemplary. Ruby in particular was a joy to talk to and quite good at her job. Finally, the live music they had playing was surprisingly good. I did not expect that kind of quality on a random Saturday in May. I highly recommend going to this winery.

Definitely worth a stop when in the Waterbury area. Smugglers' Notch Distillery is in the same…read moreplaza as Cabot Creamery and Lake Champlain Chocolates, so there is a lot to see and taste here. After looking at the very attractive displays showcasing each product made at the Distillery, my daughter and I opted to share a tasting. We chose the Moroccan Rose and Grapefruit Flavored Vodka to start and I loved the distinct fruity taste without the sugary sweetness. Next was the Maple Gin, which was lovely as well. Our server told us she likes to mix it with muddled blueberries and ginger beer for a refreshing summertime mule, and I agree that does sound delicious. Our third taste was the Bourbon Maple Cream Liquor, which was so delicious, and we finished the tasting with the Maple Cram Liquor, which was smooth, sweet, and went down very easily. We were impressed with the cleanliness of the store - everything was sparkly clean and shining. The layout of the displays was so attractive. We will definitely stop there again on our next trip to VT.

The tasting room is small with a single counter for tasting and a wall of bottles for purchase but it's well worth the wait if needed. You can even sample the syrups while you wait for free! Our hostess was very informative about all of the spirits and very appreciative of each of her customers. She talked a bit fast but that's understandable in the environment, it's busy!! We each did a tasting, the special tasting and the regular, so we got to try almost everything! Our cabinet and fridge got a few new additions with the canned vodka sodas and a single barrel. I highly recommend a stop and a tasting of the Hopped Gin, whether you're a gin drinker or not!! We visited in August 2024.

First time ever trying out a tasting wine event.. I randomly found this place on Instagram and…read moreafter doing some research I figured this place is worth the try! When you go on their website they have different packages from what you can choose from. We ended up doing a private tour with wine tasting & a little snack to taste from the kitchen.. What I love about this location is that it's nearly 2 hours away from our place now I dont know about you but I live for mini roadtrip! And anything that's out of "montreal" is a win for me! Theres just something so great about driving into the ever greens! So ofcourse from the moment we got there it was POURING rain! But that didn't stop the tour! We ended up taking a golf kart to go through the vineyard.. it was so nice because they gave us a cozy blanket to cover ourselves with .. very sweet! The guy who gave us the tour was so sweet and knowledgeable he gave us some really great info and honestly just made me appreciate wine even that more! Once we finished with the vineyards we headed back to a tour of the behind the scenes.. it was really cool to see everything from A to Z .. we then headed to the diner area for our tasting & snacks .. he then offered some more fun knowledge about the wines and we understood it better because of the tour he had just given us. Plus prior to starting this they bring you to a room to a watch a mini 10 minute clip about the wines and preview and that came with a delicious glass of wine. And just before heading out they have this beautiful boutique with all sorts of fun things we got some wine , maple sugar etc.. One thing that really stuck with me was how well maintained the place was. Very very clean and the design and decor of this place just seals it all together. It's a family owned business & we got to meet one of them! Apparently they also have a sugar shack so I'll definitely have to go back there to try it out. Their story behind this phenomenal vineyard is amazing and one of the only ones in Quebec to be producing wines like this.. you'll just have to take the tour to find out more! :) or Google.. your choice
