Amazing service and niche restaurant. It's really a wine and tapas place. Only 4 entrees but all great starters and small plates. Really quality meats and cheese. Wine is mostly Italian and French. Low end of the spectrum but interesting choices. The most expensive half bottle was the Chateau Y'Quem for $500. There was another Sauternes on the menu for much less. I was greeted , seated and served quickly and with a smile. All the plates were nice charcuterie type foods. The dessert was delicious. I ordered 5 plates and 2 glasses of wines and a %20 tip for $140. Please try them. Bon appetit

I love this cozy little wine bar. I've always admired it from the outside for the vines slowly climbing the brick, but finally making it inside was a treat. When you walk in, you're greeted by a friendly hostess and the vibe is awesome for a date night or evening with friends Wine selections- love them. It's enough that you have choices without being overwhelmed. I opted for the Sangiovese and I'm currently trying to figure out who sells it where I live since we're just visiting Burlington! They also have a cava from a vineyard that I walked by in Spain a few summers ago so they're selling the good stuff. We ordered the bread and butter which I originally felt was elevated pricing but we felt the butter made it worth it. Meatballs were good but not my favorite of all time. Loved the pasta dish. It's truly homemade and as a pasta maker myself, you can tell that a lot of effort goes into it. Service was wonderful with attentive people who are happy to share their favorites with you. We would definitely come back for either dinner or some small bites and wine!

Highly recommend!! The shop has a really good flavor and price range and the staff are very kind and knowledgeable - they can tell you the story behind every wine! The restaurant is amazing, not too pricey, good quantity and of course it all tastes amazing. I always leave absolutely stuffed. A cozy atmosphere. Seriously in my top 2 favorite restaurants in Burlington and my favorite wine store. Plus their cheese selection is amazing. Keep doing what you're doing guys!!

We were visiting from out of town and stumbled upon this restaurant. We popped in at 4 to grab a quick drink before our dinner reservation. We ended up enjoying the ambiance and service so much that we cancelled our dinner reservation elsewhere and ate here. The food was outstanding and the wine and cheese selection was great! We sat at the bar and the bartender was fantastic. Would highly recommend trying this spot out!

We were warmly greeted, and they inquired if we were there for a table/bar seating, or the retail shop. We sat at the bar, and there were other customers at tables enjoying a glass and engrossed in conversation. They offer a small snack menu, along with a selection of wines, and they have a good knowledge and will provide counsel on the options. We ordered the ricotta toast and the lonzo, a ham similar to prosciutto. Both were delicious! The lonzo comes with a drizzle of quality olive oil on top, and a sprinkle of salt, and a dab of mustard. The ricotta toast (no pic sorry) was also tasty. The space leans to industrial loft, but is warm and invites conversations and relaxation. The shop also has a retail space, and a monthly wine club subscription is an option. It is separated from the restaurant, but not a quirk of their shop, but archaic Vermont liquor laws. We decide to subscribe and picked up our first selections to take home.

We sat at the bar for glasses of wine with lots of treats: a bowl of yummy olives, fancy tinned fish, bresaola, mind-blowing new award-winning blue cheese from Jasper Hill (withersbrook) and a cherry, tomato, almond, burratini salad...all served with slices of excellent bread. Perfect accompaniments to each plate: lemon and garlic with the fish, cherry conserves with the cheese, etc... We'll be back again and again, with friends in tow.

Calling all Natural Wine Lovers! This must be the place!…read more As someone who is in the wine industry I always scope out wine bars when traveling and I am so happy to have encountered Bar Renee. This super quaint, but fun bar is the perfect place for a glass or two of natural wines. And, if you don't know much about natural wines the employees sure do. They can tell you about almost all the wines they serve and the best part...You can buy them right there as well. Yes, that's right! Due to their license you can sip and shop their selections. We enjoyed it so much that we ended up going twice. They had a tasting on Sunday where they opened up a few bottles and you get to try them all, for only $5 so it was a steal. I ended up bringing how a red wine from California. They also have small plates. We ended up sharing their olives and marcona almonds. This is also a great place for groups since they have plenty of tables towards the back of the bar. I can't wait to come back here. Cheers~

I ordered the Something Fun cocktail, which was fruity, refreshing, and beautifully presented with blue salt speckled around the rim of the glass. For dinner, I had the whole trout in a dill sauce with a side of purple cauliflower. Everything is locally sourced, and while the menu features a few staples, it changes daily. Each menu is date-stamped, which I'm obsessed with--it's a great reminder of how fresh everything is. Vermont generally has a great local food scene, and I really appreciate the thoughtfulness behind the ingredients, presentation, and overall quality. Frankie's is a restaurant I'd highly recommend for groups, family dinners, date nights, or even corporate dinners. I'd love to come back and explore more of their wine selection. The staff is incredibly welcoming, happy to chat, and very knowledgeable about the menu. Expect to spend around $75 per person for a meal, a side or appetizer, and one drink.

They helped take our coats/hang them for us. We were always closely attended to and given time if more was needed. The homemade pasta dish we got with greens and mushrooms was fantastic! My bf liked the shrimp appetizer/smaller dish and we all liked the trout, but it seemed a little mushy/overcooked. Cons: loud/bad acoustics, dim, portion size(only for one specific dish) A little hard to hear inside when it's at peak capacity. Was at dinner with a group of four and it was quite hard to hear the person diagonally across from me the entire night. Lighting was a little too dim for my personal liking but others may not mind(for example, it was darker inside than it was outside at 6pm). Food was overall very good. The disappointments were a clam dish we couldn't even first find any clams in and then the two people who got them when we divided up the dish only got two each! And the side greens, seemed overcooked and were over-salted. Would definitely try it again would recommend to others.
