Someone from Osborne came out and spent about 1/2 hour looking at the job inside & the box outside. Now the trick begins: the dud tells me he needed a helper for this job. Sounds right , someone had to climb up in the attic. The dud goes out to his truck, comes back in and tells me that his boss wouldn't let him have a helper without getting paid fist. $325. Osborne & my money vanished never to be heard from or seen again. Warning; never pay anyone until the job or work is finished. Osborne I will not support nor will I endorse any group or individual that takes advantage of a senior citizen.

We just bought an EV. Our breaker box needed to be upgraded to handle the increased home charge point load. Two other "TV" bigtime electricians came out to do estimates. They provided written estimates. Osborne came out to do same and provided a written estimate. All estimates reflected virtually the exact same equipment, job, and similar labor time. The two "TV" contractor's estimates were in the 5 figures. Osborne's was literally one-third the total price for the exact same materials and costs/time. In addition Osborne took care of all the city licensing and inspections. Osborne completed the job exactly as promised and in the time expected. I cannot reccomend Osborne Electric enough, over and above any other.

Not once have I been disappointed with the service technicians or the excellent service they provide. These people are honest and, most importantly, customer oriented. It is easy to set appointments, AND they're timely. The techs are experienced, diligent, and polite. Barnett will always give you a call once the tech is headed your way. I'm very picky when it comes to dealing with service providers. Trust me. THIS IS the place to go. Barnett Electrical Heating and Air 1628 Kelham OKC, OK 73129 (405) 794-9800

I finally had enough money saved up to upgrade my wiring for the house. Oi! That's a lot of money!…read more The house had the original wiring from the 40's. Now it has top-of-the-line easy to upgrade wiring with room for exapnsion. This is good because I will need to call them back a couple of times. They came in, upgraded the breaker box, grounded the wiring, made space for future additions which we discussed. Sadly, I couldn't afford to get everything done all at once - nor could I get everything done all at once because I needed to have a carpenter in for part of it and the plumber, and then the electrician back again, so even if I had the money to get all the wiring work done at one time, it wasn't possible. But - they did a great job of installing the upgrade. They were fast, prompt, friendly, professional, hardworking, and now I have to scrimp and save for more work. I need some switches and outlets that don't work fixed, I need a number of new outlets installed (remember, original wiring from the 40's - a maximum of 2 outlets per room and I think 4 should be the minimum, so I need to double the outlets), install electric wall heaters, and an overhead heater in the bathroom, plus bathroom outlets for grooming items that are electrified, and ceiling fans. Barnett and I , we are going to working together for YEARS (because I save up slowly...). If you need wiring done, call Barnett. They are good.

We recently purchased a Tesla Model Y and needed an electric vehicle charger installed at our home…read more After contacting multiple electricians and receiving various quotes, we decided to go with Tom King Electric. They weren't the cheapest or the most expensive, but they were easily the most professional in all our interactions. There's no reason for me to have regular interactions with electricians, so I wasn't sure what to expect. Tom King Electric was listed on the Tesla website as a Certified Installer, so that led me to their website which was easy to navigate, find their contact information, and easily get a quote. We needed our Tesla Wall Charger installed in a detached carport at an older home, so I did have some additional questions regarding running a new below-ground power line and whether our main electrical system was adequate. A staff member even came out to do a no-fee site visit ahead of time to make sure we didn't run into any surprises during the actual installation. For the installation itself, the two electricians who came out to do the work were very professional and courteous. They even parked their heavy work truck in the street as a precaution to make sure it didn't crack our driveway. I'm personally not an electrician so I've no clue what they actually did, but they were cool about letting me watch and ask questions as they worked. After the installation, they cleaned up after themselves and didn't leave a mess we'd have to deal with later. Again, the staff at Tom King Electric was wildly helpful, patient, and professional in putting up with all my nonsense. In full disclosure, they did offer a $10 discount on our invoice if we left them an online review, but I'd have left them a positive one otherwise. I'd have no problem recommending Tom King Electric. Our house is nearly 100 years old, so I'm sure we'll have them back out at some point.

I hired Tom King Electric to replace an existing EV charger and also requested installation of a…read moreTesla Powerwall in the same initial scope. In our original written request, we clearly included the Powerwall installation. That portion was never explicitly declined or excluded when the estimate was sent over. As a result, we reasonably believed the quoted price covered the full scope. Only after the work was completed did they inform us they do not install Powerwalls at all. Adding to the confusion, the technician onsite indicated the Powerwall had been "handled," but the equipment was never installed and remains unopened. The charger replacement itself was very straightforward (existing wiring, breaker, and only a few inches from the panel), so the final price was excessive relative to the actual work performed--especially given the misunderstanding around scope. I attempted to resolve this directly and proposed a partial adjustment to reflect the limited work completed, but that was declined. If this had been clearly communicated upfront--"we don't do Powerwalls, this quote is only for the charger"--this would have been a non-issue. At this point, I'd recommend that future customers go elsewhere for electrical work. Happy to update this review if we're able to come to a reasonable resolution.

I called for an estimate and explained the situation. The man (perhaps the owner) was very nice. He said it was $95 an hour with a one-hour minimum, but since the job was pretty much complete, it could be less. He sent his guys over to my son's house. They started the job without a callback, for the estimate is the charge. They did not change out the box and only used longer screws. They were there for 40 minutes, mostly just chit-chatting with my son. They told him he did all the work already. I called the next day to pay over the phone, and the woman said it was $135 or $145. She said they claimed they were there for an hour and a half. That's an absolute lie. They also said they spent that time "showing the homeowner how to use the remote." Are they kidding? I paid the amount and now know never to use them again.
