I had my little Chihuahua, Luca. Within the 12 year span, I started my own family and we continued bringing our pets to BFAH for their annual visits and for all treatments. They have always been welcoming and friendly. They are great with handling all pets. Everyone that visits BFAH, always walks in and out with a smile. Our pets have always been under Dr. Erica Heim's care. She is a wonderful Veterinarian who has helped us through preventative care and through tragedy as well. We trust her judgement as she has been with us through the thick and thin. All of her associates have always been so kind and caring and have been there as long as I remember which shows us that there are plenty of wonderful and genuine souls working there. We like the fact that they are honest and will always review all treatments with you. They are truly angels. We love Best Friends Animal Hospital and our pets will continue to be their patients for years to come.

I spent a couple months and several thousand dollars at multiple vets. Several different diagnosis and a final diagnosis of a huge mass in his intestines. Surgery, due to the multiple diagnosis, x-rays, ultrasound exams, medication and weekly visits was now not an option. I was also told he wouldn't survive a Surgery nor could they tell me exactly what it was. I called Kinder, explained my situation, what I had available in cash and credit, they said come right now. When they examined him, he couldn't walk, wasnt eating anymore. I asked if they could do exploratory Surgery. They took him in, opened him up and removed an obstruction, saved his life. This was a $6000 Surgery. I paid $2800. Uther lived a long and amazing life for a bully dog. I'm thankful for the care. Nobody will care the way Kinder does. Long waits outside, poor parking situation, rough customer care, whatever! My dog had the most loving incompetent care, no money too bad so sad. My dog is more important than my sensibilities.

Places like this are truly a blessing, and they deserve our support because without organizations providing this level of care, countless animal rescues and pet owners would struggle to get the help they need. I am especially grateful for the kindness you showed me during one of the most stressful and heartbreaking times I've faced. When my dog needed surgery, I was devastated and unsure of what to do. My dog is family, and the thought of losing him was overwhelming. Your team went above and beyond to help make his care affordable and ensure he received the treatment he needed. Thank you for your generosity, professionalism, and genuine compassion. The work you do changes lives not only for animals, but for the people who love them. I will never forget the support you gave me when I needed it most.

Making an appointment was super easy online. And with the $50 voucher, the cost was only $145 for my little dog... amazing! I recommend you get there EARLY if you're going for a spay/neuter clinic day. They say no later than 7:30 AM but I was there at around 6:45 and they were already checking people in... so go early. You pay in cash. They can also do microchips at the same time as the surgery. This was so easy compared to other places that offer similar services. And Dr. Shukman was kind and compassionate while doing the Lords work for sure.

We were hesitant to pay that amount since it was an expense not expected especially after already paying for an initial check up and vaccinations elsewhere (our cat adopted us - she just showed up in the backyard so we took her under our wing since knew the shelters are so overpopulated). Dr. Shukhman is so kind and can tell helping animals is his passion. Had a follow up question after the surgery and Mauricio was so helpful too. If your pets pick up time is before 1PM, they will contact you. The expectation is for you to come pick up your animal promptly after the call to avoid stress on the animals so make sure you hang out close to the location if don't live close. They also offer other services that can be done at the same time like microchips which we opted for as well.

The moment I walked in they called for someone in the back to come take him to check him immediately; they then spent 14 hours rescuing him. They discussed treatment plans/options with compassion and understanding. Dr Farrell, I later discovered, stayed well past her shift helping monitor him. Stacy was able to get an IV line into him when I was ready to give up. They not only took care of my pet but they reached out to care for me-offering blankets (Clarissa!), tissues and coffee/water as well as comfort. Thank you to all of the unnamed team who helped send our old man home with a little more time. When I got there, vet techs were waiting for me. Some of them took her back, and one took my story on what happened, and her symptoms. I had to call Pet Poison Line so they could tell the vets how to treat her-that's fine-and they wanted to do a full workup on her since she is 12. I said that's fine, that's what insurance is for. It was about 11pm when I was sent home to rest while they took care of her. At about two, they called me to tell me that she survived the nightshade poisoning, but they had found a thicker spot in her intestines in the x-ray, and they wanted to do follow-up images in the morning, so I got another estimate for them to keep her til the next day and run another round of x-rays and do an ultrasound. She stayed and I went back to sleep. In the morning, a very kind vet whose name I don't remember called me and went over what is happening and why that spot could be there. She gave me advice on how to proceed after today. She asked what food my cat eats so they could give it to her there too. I was kept in the loop the whole time from when I got there to when I picked her up at 4:30pm. It set me back about $3500. Thank God for pet insurance. But considering all they did and the overnight stay, not terrible. My cat's idiocy may have saved her bacon if we caught something early, but so did True Care's thoroughness.
