I was told it "should be covered by insurance" and that I'd only pay the difference, so I agreed to move forward. At checkout, I paid $350 and was told I'd be reimbursed after insurance was billed. Later, I found out my insurance didn't cover it at all. My concern wasn't that insurance denied the claim, it was that I was led to believe my coverage had been verified. Had I known I would likely be responsible for the full cost, I would have waited until I was financially ready. I asked if they could offer a discount given the misinformation, but after more than two months of trying to reach the manager, I was told there was nothing they could do because I had received the service. What disappointed me most was the lack of accountability and willingness to address my concerns. I ended up canceling my follow-up appointment and won't be returning. I would recommend confirming that your insurance has actually been verified before agreeing to any treatment that could leave you paying out of pocket.

A front tooth cap had fallen out during my usual morning brushing on a Sunday. I had to speak at a memorial service after the death of a close friend on Tuesday. I had planned to call TFD Monday A.M. to see if they could take pity on me and squeeze me in for a "fix" somehow. Then, instead, I let my pushy behavior take over and decided to arrive at their door at 8 A.M. Monday, hoping they could seat me. I had thought they had done the original cap work...but I was wrong. Another dentist had done the work. TFD didn't and recented another dentist's work, and sent me on my way. How do you praise a dental office after that act of sympathy and kindness? I am so grateful!! :)
