She worked efficiently, at all times asking if I had any questions or concerns prior to the procedure. Dr. Nguyen came in, friendly as always and got to work. Them two made a great team, moving fluidly and seamlessly. Felt absolutely zero pain or discomfort during the procedure, even still Dr. Nguyen was asking if I was doing well and even explaining the procedure as he went and what to expect next. I've been going to this dental office for about a year after being referred by someone in a local Facebook group. My initial impression was very positive. The office is beautiful and has the upscale feel and extra amenities I was looking for. The assistants who escort you to your room, get you settled, and assist the dentist and hygienist have also consistently been kind, welcoming, and professional. Unfortunately, my overall experience has declined, and there are several concerns that ultimately led me to decide I will not be returning. During one of my first visits, I mentioned that I had been experiencing intermittent tooth pain for years. The dentist examined the area and took an X-ray but said everything looked fine. I understood that there might not be an obvious dental issue, but when I continued to express concern about the recurring pain, the response was delivered in a frustrated tone and essentially suggested that it was a matter of how much pain I could tolerate. I found the response dismissive and uncomfortable. I briefly mentioned my concern at a later visit, but I was hesitant to pursue it further because I did not want to feel like I was bothering the dentist. Later, another dentist recommended replacing a couple of fillings. The fillings were not particularly old, but I was told replacing them would be beneficial as a preventative measure. I agreed and scheduled the procedure several months later. The fillings were small, but the procedure took considerably longer than I expected based on my previous experiences. The dentist repeatedly requested different instruments, which made me increasingly uncomfortable. Once the numbness wore off, I realized that my bite was significantly off. I immediately contacted the office and returned for a recheck with another dentist, who confirmed that the fillings were too high and adjusted them. At that point, my bite felt much better. Unfortunately, within a few days, I began experiencing significant pain in that area. I was flossing regularly and initially couldn't understand what was causing the problem. I eventually used an interdental pick, something I had never needed to use before, and discovered that food was consistently getting trapped between the teeth where the filling had been replaced. I had never experienced this issue with those teeth previously. I contacted the office again and was offered another evaluation, but at that point I was hesitant to return for yet another visit related to the same fillings. I now have to routinely use an interdental pick after eating to remove food that gets trapped in the area. I'm still confused as to why this became an issue immediately after the fillings were replaced. My other major concern is the billing process. In my experience, the office has received insurance payments that were higher than what I was originally charged, but I was not proactively notified, refunded, or given an account credit. I had to follow up repeatedly regarding the overpayments. At one point, I was told the office had not received the insurance checks, even though the insurance company confirmed that the checks had been issued, received, and cashed by the dental office. That experience was ultimately the final straw for me. I want to emphasize that the staff and overall appearance of the office are excellent, and I genuinely appreciate how kind the assistants have been throughout my visits. However, good customer service and a beautiful office cannot make up for concerns about communication, the quality and outcome of dental work, and billing transparency. After approximately a year as a patient, I have decided to take my dental care elsewhere. read more

Okay, this is going to be a long review, but I wanted to share my full experience because I know how helpful detailed reviews can be when you're considering something like this! I was recommended by my cousin to check this place out because I was having TMJ issues and was looking into Botox. It made me much more comfortable knowing I was getting it done at a dental practice rather than just an aesthetic spa. I was able to call and easily set up an appointment, and the lady I spoke with over the phone was very helpful. When I arrived for my appointment, I was greeted by Lily and Alexis at the front desk. Angelica then checked me in and got me settled. The entire office was so nice, clean, and modern, and all of the equipment looked new and top-tier. Dr. Nguyen was friendly, knowledgeable, and took the time to answer all of my questions. The whole process was also very quick and easy! It's been a week since I had the Botox done, and I can already see and feel a difference. My jaw muscles feel much more relaxed, and my jaw is no longer sore, which was my main issue before. I did experience a little soreness around day 5, but it went away by day 6. By the one-week mark, I wasn't feeling any discomfort at all. I know Botox can take some time to fully settle, so I'm happy with how everything has been progressing so far. Overall, the entire process was great, and the communication from start to finish was excellent. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone dealing with TMJ or considering Botox for it. I might even switch my regular dentist and start coming here for my dental care as well! read more

Everyone would be fortunate to get Joan as their hygienist. She exemplifies how cutting edge this office is because she not only knows how to clean teeth better than I've ever had, but also tells you how to keep them clean. She gave me a mirror and explained the colors of the marker they painted on my teeth. The darker the color, the longer the time bacteria sat there. Those are the areas I missed in the morning, and if I had even darker areas, those would be the areas I would be consistently missing. She gave me tips on turning the brush upright to get the back of my lower front. She explained saliva squirts directly on those all day and using my little brush picks on those after a meal would disrupt the calcium buildup there. The view of the colors is solidly in my brain and I hear her lessons when I recall it. She asked about my routine because I have some sensitivity and recommended reversing it. Brush picks, floss, then Sensodyne brushing without rinsing. It would be better in 2 weeks. Nice! Here is a person who chose a career she loves and brings her soul. Thank you, Joan! It would be 5 stars but the receptionist added a bunch of services that my insurance does not cover costing me hundreds. It feels cringy to have to ask what my insurance covers but that is why I have insurance. The haggling of cost was not fun and when she got to the no extra charges point, I really wish she led with that and then asked if I wanted the add-ons and their cost. Dr. Anthony Nguyen at Artsci Dental came highly recommended by my orthodontist, and now I completely understand the hype. He's warm, thorough, and clearly passionate about bringing the latest technology into dentistry to create a better patient experience. What impressed me most was the teeth cleaning -- yes, really! The hygienist uses GBT, a guided biofilm therapy that temporarily turns your teeth purple so you can literally see the spots you tend to miss when brushing. They use state of the art equipment with the latest techniques that are effective and efficient and 3. NO pushy sales tactics (thank you!). They focus on preventative maintenance and offer to answer any questions I may have about procedures and/or home equipment and products. Both dentists and staff are helpful and friendly. I've never had to wait more than a few minutes. The office is clean and comfortable, and parking is a snap with a big, easy to access parking lot. Had a great experience here today after trying multiple different dentists in the South Bay over the years. The office staff (Lily and one other woman) were super friendly and knowledgeable. She informed me right away about what my insurance would cover which I thought was helpful and gave me clarity for my visit.
