I was seen by one of her dentist associates in March and was told I had no indication of cavities, and I also have never had one in all 25 years of my life. I questioned her and she kicked me out of the office, which I find incredibly unprofessional and suspicious. I went and got a second opinion nearby and was informed I have 0 cavities. I want to warn others to not trust Dr. Andrea Paydar. Although it was incredibly embarrassing to be kicked out like that, I'm glad I got a second opinion and uncovered the truth about my teeth. I started coming to SFD, about 2 or 3 years ago now, when my tooth had cracked off after biting…read moreinto a toaster waffle. The waffle was not even hard---that's the shameful part! Actually, my insurance had sent me to the dentistry, across the street from SFD, but they told me they would only take x-rays and do a cleaning for free. If I wanted my tooth fixed, I would need to cough up on the spot $1500 or some crazy ass amount. And that would be just a half payment. I am disabled and live off low income SSI. There would be no practical way I could ever pay in full. Most medical places don't understand that there is a reason why people like me have the crappiest of insurance. Perhaps this was a blessing in disguise though, as I did not like the staff and the attitude of the dentist. You could tell right away that money was all they cared about! Luckily, I was able to find SFD and right from the get go, they were so easy and wonderful to work with. They accepted my crappy insurance and they did more than a cleaning and x-rays. Dr. Nayyar addressed so many other things that needed attention and fixing; making sure my whole set of teeth looked as good as possible! You can tell right away that Dr. Nayyar cares about his patients. And that says alot about his character and the staff working with him! Also, I would like to say that his work is phenomenal and rarely does it ever actually hurt. I like to joke around that if I didn't have to open my mouth and answer a few questions, here and there, I would likely go to sleep---that's how comfortable the sessions are! I have never really liked my teeth---I would often get teased about them growing up---but thanks to Dr. Nayyar, it's the first time in my life where I actually feel comfortable smiling! As mentioned, both dentist and staff are decent and kind; always greet you warmly and ready to answer questions. Hell, one time they offered to call someone to come pick me up because I guess they thought I did not have a ride home. As I mentioned, the amount of care and actual respect given to you is a big reason why I love coming here and would absolutely recommend others to give it a chance. I can't give enough praise for Sierra Family Dentistry! Again, thank you to Dr. Nayyar and his awesome staff. Over the last few years or so, I was really going through it; had multiple medical emergencies and even more multiple surgeries. Sometimes this would put me on hold from coming in and I often felt bad, like maybe they thought I was avoiding my appointments or was scared of having my teeth worked on. So I apologize but I appreciate the patience... Overall, I don't have one bad word, experience or complaint against SFD and would rate it a perfect 5/5 score!

Unfortunately my wife has had a ton of work done on her teeth throughout the years. We've seen dentists who recommended doing a full mouth reconstruction $60k. She's had multiple root canals and crowns. We went to our normal dentist who said she needs a new crown because a cavity is forming. But we weren't sure. We heard about Kaio Dental from another dentist friend and drove the hour drive from OC to see him. Let's just say we found our new dentist and are willing to drive that hour every 6 months. Dr. Tram is amazing. He taught at Western so he's knowledgeable and skilled. He understands its a changing field and one way is not the correct way. He also knows that explanation to the patient is key. He actually explained to use and showed us with a CT scan why she should hold off on the crown. There was a possible infection in the root so he recommended the imaging being read by an endodontist because if he replaced the crown and introduced bacteria into the area, it may cause even more pain. Something we had no idea on. He has amazing ethics. Isn't in it for the money. Just wants to be a good dentist. He doesn't do same day crowns anymore as he said it's too rushed and he wants focus on the quality since he does it himself. Great team, great office, clean, good parking.

Please reconsider getting braces/permanent retainers here. I recently came in for a visit to get my…read morepermanent retainers checked since it wasn't sturdy after 5 years of having them. Getting an appointment was fine but they do not care for you in the long term. Dr. Gonzalez took off my retainers and told me my only option was to get braces again. I would've been happy to get it glued or let it be like that to keep my shape. I felt like they were trying to get money out of my minor visit which was ridiculous. I even asked if my teeth would be in the same shape after getting my retainer removed, just cause of how long I had them for. He said that they would stay in shape but the fact that he lied was what lost me as a customer. I have so much anxiety sleeping every night now just because how much my teeth shifts at the bottom. Mind you, the defect in the retainer was from the lack of glue placement of Dr. Gonzalez. His work is great but he does not take accountability in long term errors. Adding on to that, the visit costed 20$! For a 5 minute removal. I came in thinking that I would receive help or some sort of reassurance but was in shock of how I got charged. I have pretty sensitive teeth so I'm not too fond of the ultrasonic water scaling and didn't know hand scaling was even an option but she asked and I took that route. It's the first time I walk out of the dentist with absolutely no pain or discomfort. Teresa also went out of her way to take a picture of a tooth that might need some preventative care which I appreciated. Highly recommend asking for her if you're in need of a 6 month cleaning :)
