This company has friendly customer service which is happy to answer your questions. I have had a problem with inspectors not showing up at the time they are scheduled. Twice now they have come early and interrupted important business meetings I had. If they had called first and asked to come early, it would have been understandable. After the first incident, I complained to the manager who said he would make sure it didn't happen again. The second time, I was told the same thing by the manager ("Charlie"). The third time will be strike three and I will no longer work with that company. Service with a smile is good, but the service must be as promised, as well. I set time aside for their inspection. They need to respect my time as well. I have only had one occasion to use their services for pest control for a carpenter ant infestation in our sunroom. After having a discussion with his manager, the exterminator said he could spray some ant killer in the hole where the ants were for $100 plus. As I know that would not kill the queen, who would just make more workers, I told them to forget it. I then bought some professional ant gel bait containing Thiamethoxam on Amazon for $27, which killed all the ants in a short time. Either the exterminator did not tell me about this solution or did not know. Seems like he should have, either way. read more

I just had my termite inspection from Alexander pest control and was very disappointed in the service. He arrived at 10 am and was here for less than five minutes. Walked across the front yard, left a statement in my door and left. Did not check under house or in back yard. For $162.00 I expected more if a inspection. I have used Alexander Termite & Pest Control for approximately 21 years. For the last 15 years Sandra has been spraying my house and outside property. Sandra does and always has done an outstanding job. She makes great suggestions on how to alleviate ants and she takes care of my garage where my 2 cats live. I could not survive without Sandra ! Alexander will not pay for repairs. I had their service for almost 10 years. Discovered termite damage recently. It cost me $2,650 to replace my entire fireplace and they only gave me $265. The tech had NEVER mentioned any issues with fireplace. They claimed "water damage", but the tech over the years did not report a water issue a single time. Customer beware! I called Alexander Termite & Pest Control to schedule pest service and an estimate for termite services on the recommendation of other people in my townhouse community. I knew that other people with townhouses in my neighborhood used them, and when I told them that I lived in a townhouse no one told me that they "do not provide termite services to townhomes" (which isn't true since they treat my neighbors' homes). Now I am automatically locked into a pest service contract with someone who won't provide me with termite services as well. When I called to cancel my contract two months ago, the woman I spoke with said she would do it. She did not tell me that I had to pay for four pest treatments before I could cancel. Now not only has my service not been cancelled but I am receiving bills for pest treatments I never received and am stuck in this contract not for one year, as I understood it, but until I get four pest treatments. The cost to cancel is 75% of the amount I would have to pay for the remaining three services. I feel that I was tricked and trapped into this contract due to the fact that nothing was explained to me clearly. The one time I did get a pest service the tech refused to stay six feet away despite multiple requests from me - and kept slipping his mask down to his neck. I did not at all feel safe. I was a customer for 17 years and never had a problem with having their technicians in our home until the last visit. I always escorted them around but didn't do that last time due to my comfort with them and after the visit, discovered my mom's watch (Rolex) missing. At our request, their manager reviewed the issue and interviewed their technician (who had been employed for 3 months) and took his word that he didn't have anything to do with it. A police report was also filed and we canceled our service due to the lack of followup and concern. read more

We have used Alexander Termite and Pest Control for at least 15 years, and they are outstanding in every way. They do a great job, provide excellent customer service, and are very reliable. Before starting with them we used a more famous competitor and I bet we had a different 'tech' spraying toxic chemicals in and around our house every other visit. No consistency in personnel or performance and not great customer service or response. Just spray and leave. We have had a total of 2 Alexander Reps visiting our house 4x a year in all these years. We have been with Alexander Termite and Pest Control for 19 years .They have provided pests and termite service for two houses. Until this spring , I would had given them a glowing review. Somewhere in the course of owning the second home, I forget to pay for the termite bond on the second house. . Thus, any damage and repairs caused by termites would be out of pocket. We had no problem with this as I had made the mistake . We called Alexander Termite and Pest control to come to the second house because we had a lot of termites invading our family room which has hard wood floors. The family room is on a slab and aligns with the area of the house that is above the basement. There is a step down to the family room which is above the basement. This is where the termites were coming from to flood the family room. The technician came out and inspected our property looking for the entry and or the travel route of the termites. He failed to find either after inspecting the basement and all connecting rooms to the family room, He said that we would have to rip out a 5x5 foot section of the hardwood so that he could find the termites. If there were any cracks then the entire family floor would need to be removed. We did as we were told thus trusting him to guide us correctly, after all, we have been with them for 19 years. At that point ,I decided that since we are going to be spending a lot of money to replace the floor then we needed to get at least two additional estimates and opinions about how to handle the treatment of the termites as something did not feel correct. I contacted two other very well known and successful companies for an additional inspection. Both came out and found the termites entering in the basement and coming up through the basement where the step down into the family room exists. They had no problem seeing the problems, not like the technician from Alex Termite and Pest Control. Both companies were shocked that the Alex technician would have us rip up our hardwood floor. There was no need for this to occur. At that point, I contacted the manager, Randy from Alex, who came out and confirmed that their technician had made a mistake in having us remove the 5x5 floor section. Keep in mind that he had no trouble seeing the termites in the basement as well not like his technician who could not find the termites. He put into writing that they would cover the cost to repair the floor. Also Alex plan to treat and prevent termites was very different than the other two companies. We then decided to use one of the other two companies to treat and prevent termites. Alexander Termite and Pest control have REFUSED to honor their mistake and the commitment to repair the floor per their manager. One would think that after 19 years as a great customer who always paid on time that they would accept what they agreed to do per their manager. We have not asked for the sun and moon but have only asked that the floor be repaired in a 5x5 foot section. They have refused. Therefore I strongly suggest you think about using their services. I am giving them a one rating only because I can not post this review until it has a rating. If I had it my way then I would give them a zero. read more
