It's a great pub. Friendly people, band members and certainly the bartender! We enjoyed our time there last night! It felt like home!

Chadds Ford Tavern - Pulled pork truffle fries!

Amazing hidden gem! Great food, decent prices, amazing service even on a super busy Saturday night…read more There was a live band so the restaurant was packed to the brim. Valet or self park. There were near 100 cars in the lot and still space to park somehow! The place was packed when we got there but we were seated in a minute! And in that time we were told by other staff that they'd be there shortly. Once seated, our server came by a few times in the 5 minutes we spent deciding on what to get haha and plenty while we were dining. I say this because it's not often you see such a packed restaurant feel like such an efficiently well oiled machine. We were there to see the band and some friends so we just got the pulled pork truffle fries, which, mind you, were some of the best fried we've had anywhere! What a pleasant surprise, as we were just grabbing a quick bite to share before having to head off. The ambiance was great, which I'd wager to be the case even without the music seeing the elegance of the decor and whatnot. The whole place was clean, not an issue in sight. Props to all the staff and management at the Chadds Ford Tavern!

Perhaps attributable to the holidays or perhaps the happy hour pricing. The half-price items, including Guiness on tap, made it especially affordable. Service was superb. Despite how busy they were, our server, Cathy, gave us excellent attention. Food orders came out quickly from the kitchen. Having sampled Fish & Chips the world over, I can say that this is among the very best. Large serving size (not necessaily a positive), but in this case fried fish done perfectly, no sogginess, but also not too dry. Fries were very good as well. Pasta primavera was excellent. Everyone else seemed completely happy with their orders. They have free valet parking.

I asked for a table away from the door, and we were placed next to the fireplace, which was great. Sadly some sadistic folks decided they wanted to sit in the enclosed patio (whhhhhy?) so that secondary door kept opening during our meal. I can't escape the cold, I swear. A nice touch was that the chef greeted us at one point and made suggestions from their menu. It was our first visit, but other family members had recommended them, so we had dishes in mind ahead of time. However, from his recs, I switched from the short rib to the French dip sandwich - such a good choice! My mom went with the crab cake entree, and I kept stealing her champagne mustard sauce for my fries. It was THAT good. They should bottle it. Located in an old-timey tavern, the space is welcoming and service was prompt. Prices were about what you'd expect for the vibe. By the time we left, there was a large wait for a table! Definitely arrive on the earlier side to grab a seat, that's for sure.

Perfect for meeting friends having a gathering we're just having dinner on a business trip. There's an above average beer offering as well as a full bar. I chose to have an old-fashioned with my meal. There's a large selection of shareable's and I chose the crab dip and it was nicely done. There's five or six flatbread pizzas to choose from a nice offering of salads as well as sandwiches, and four entrées, consisting of mac & cheese, fish and chips, muscles, pork cutlet. I always enjoy Reuben so I took their twist of a Reuben cheesesteak on a pretzel hoagie, which was nice and soft and a fun twist on a Reuben. If you're local, I think it's a great location to meet friends and have a beer after work if you're traveling like myself it's a great option versus the standard national brands.

The young staff is friendly, attentive, and genuinely great. The menu changes often and stays interesting, and the rotating selection of flavorful brews and creative libations can easily keep you here for hours. My go to salmon BLT, Reuben cheesesteak and inglorious bratwurst. Don't forget the bbq nachos, cheese curds and spice bagged wings! We come at least once a week and always bring out-of-town visitors here--everyone is impressed by the quality of the food and the warm, welcoming service. Don't skip the rotating desserts--they're always worth it. Live music on Saturdays and trivia on Tuesdays just add to the fun. If I could give this place six stars, I would. It's that good.

We sat for dinner tonight and had Craig as our server. It was not crazy busy on a Tuesday night. We always love the quality of food. My husband had the filet mignon and I had the seafood ravioli. Both were amazing. We spilt the chopped salad and could not believe they charged $1.00 for splitting the $14 salad between the two of us. Really? After a $70 steak, you charge a splitting fee? The principle does not sit well with us. The service, unfortunately, was not what I expect. He did get tables all at once, which I understand, but we felt like our table of 'only' two was a burden. I really do not like leaving a restaurant feeling like that. All in all, the food is always amazing from a taste perspective. The bar experience for a couple cocktails is also always great. They really need to work on the service aspect in the restaurant. Customers should never feel like a burden. We do love the ambiance in general and the quality of food has not disappointed.
