Great place for a drink or wings which I got during football sunday with the local Eagles playing. Sundays have $10 wings with $1 discount with each touchdown by the Birds. Stopped in for the first time love the rustic feel of the tall wooden roof and long bar for games or more quieter sections for dinners or dates. The service was quick, efficient and friendly with the staff running me through the daily and football specials, suggestions on good drafts like their Lukr, a more foamy pour in their 20oz. Mugs for $8.00 with their house New Trail pilsner or Forest & Main lagers. For a short drive out of DE you'll find this quiet, quant restaurant this is loud, fun and welcoming inside. Can't wait to see how the summer is here with plenty of outdoor space for this bierhaul! Cheers!

Absolutely beautiful location. Amongst the rolling hills sits this gem of a pub restaurant. Everyone was so friendly and the food was prepared perfectly. We got the pretzel with beir cheese and it was delicious. The drinks are perfectly refreshing. Smokey old fashioned gets a big thumbs up! Looking forward to going back

Still fabulous! Sat outside this time. Great place for families!!! Food is delicious but not always the way you are thinking. My grandson's syrup for the waffles was not maple syrup but a different Kind and he didn't care for it also the butter was lemon flavored. Just saying read the fine print for fussy eaters. Service is always top notch!!

I tried this place several years ago during work travel but could not remember where it was located or even the name. I stumbled across it again this week and was happy I found it again. Great appetizers and ambience in a cozy setting. The drinks were awesome as well.

Nice new go to on our restaurant list. We came here years ago when they first opened and forgot about it. They completely redid the inside since we last visited. The atmosphere is really nice. Farmhouse/barn feeling. Food was great! Menu had some unexpected options. We started with the German pretzel. The dips were tasty (cheese and seeded mustard). Mains: I got the spice bag chicken sandwich with curry fries. Omg 10/10 so good! Husband got the pork snitzel and thought it was great. Kids both got chicken fingers and fries. They were real chicken fingers, not processed mush. Great! Kids meals came with a little squishy toy- a fan favortie. Staff was nice, they were definitely slammed and had a long wait so you could tell servers were feeling it, but kept their cool. They have a very large outdoor seating area when the weather is better. Adding this to our list for easy, delicious dinners out.

Great spot in PA. The staff was incredible. We showed up almost to late to order food. They were so accommodating and helpful. Both the beer and the food were top notch.

We need more places like Bierhaul in the Wilmington/Philadelphia area! Love the outdoor space with picnic tables, round tables and open grass play area. We like to come here with the kids because it's the only restaurant in the area with an outdoor play area for kids. There is a large connect four, baggo and a few soccer balls for the kids to play. The inglorious bratwurst was delicious with the buttery pretzel bread and mustard. The sangria was sweet and I enjoyed The German potato salad was very good, not traditional but tasty. The kids shared buttered noodles which are standard and they liked them. Will be back!

The food was great here - tons of good options to pick from - all of it was blaring with flavors. Definitely a bit on the pricier side but it didn't disappoint. We sat outside in the picnic area which is a nice setting too.

Had just a fantastic experience here on a picture perfect late spring evening. Being a beer guy I really appreciate the care taken in putting 20+ beers on tap from som of the best microbreweries in the country. The beautiful farmhouse and outdoor seating are wonderful and it was great to see kids having fun in the rolling field on the property. The night we were there they had good music going as well and our waitress was so friendly and nice. Oh jeez .... Almost forgot ... the food .... We tried the Rueben Cheesesteak and Inglorious Wurst - WOW .... Go ... u will not be disappointed.

Cute spot and great service! Lots of fun specials/events too. Food is great but pretty heavy

Great time on a Saturday afternoon with an Organ trio in the bar. Beer selection was great and service fantastic. Crowd was good. Disappointed with Nachos we got. SURF AND TURF NACHOS $22 - Shredded ribeye, black lime shrimp, smoked cheddar cheese, sauce, pico, lettuce, side sour cream. So that was all there but it was cold. Maybe my expectations were off. But we'll come back and try something else.

We didn't have reservations but were still able to sit outside on their enclosed patio with a tinkling fountain. We were delighted to find on a Wednesday that they were still having happy hour specials all day and even had a 3-course price fixed. My daughter and I loved the Gondola Ride with citrus vodka and limoncello. It was a refreshing, summertime drink. For the 3-course price fixed, we tried the lasagna noodle soup which was unique and delicious. My corn cappellacci (not on the price-fixed menu) was a new entree. The pasta was light and airy, and the corn and shrimp made it a tasty dish perfect for a summer night. For dessert, the gelato twist with banana was heavenly. Our lovely server even made sure to put a birthday candle in our daughter's dessert as it was her birthday. We'll be back!

The bartender at the time was particularly very friendly and I could tell he gave off the same vibe to everyone. As I left this bar with a friend, one of the (assumedly) local patrons was telling us we should've purposely nudged a guy seated so that we could more easily leave the bar instead of slowly crossing over. That particular patron looked back at the first guy very annoyed. The first guy was probably already at least semi-drunk and just kept trying to go on with his "joke". Another thing that surprises me is that this bar is closed all day Sunday and that they open at 8 AM according to the Yelp page and stay open until 2 AM. Those are mad hours This coming Sunday, there was a big game with Eagles versus the 49ers. I've never heard of a bar open so early in the morning and not open on Sundays. Not open on Sunday because a lot of regular church-goers in the area, or the staff need a break and maybe they would want to go to church? Reminds me of Chik-Fil-A without the super late hours and instead of family friendly style food and drink and chicken icon, booze instead. There were no smokers when me and my friend were there. I was thankful for that. It looks like PA started to ban smoking in all bars in 2021. Personally, don't miss it! I already have a hard enough time breathing and sleeping without being around that stuff! No food at this establishment. Quality drinks on tap and reasonable prices. Nice staff. I say this because it's not often you see such a packed restaurant feel like such an efficiently well oiled machine. We were there to see the band and some friends so we just got the pulled pork truffle fries, which, mind you, were some of the best fried we've had anywhere! What a pleasant surprise, as we were just grabbing a quick bite to share before having to head off. What he didn't realize was there was an expiration date, but thankfully for some nice customer service, we were allowed to use it the day after expiration as we set up in advance a date and time that the facility advised would work - 4pm on a Saturday. We arrived to a majority empty place which turned out to be in our favor. We got a lane to ourselves and almost a private lesson on how to throw from our AxeMaster. There are three styles of axes. Two are two-handed throwers, and then a hatchet which is a one-hand throw. They all have their positives and negatives with their weight and accuracy, but we got enough time to toss them all. Our two-hour session started with 10 minutes on each of the two axes and hatchet. It was almost getting monotonous but quickly we were getting the hang of each one and the characteristics needed to make accurate throws. Our AxeMaster would provide pointers after each throw to improve our skills. Then, let the games begin! We played several games. First was a 20-throw high score wins. Every fifth round you could go for a "kill" shot which was the tiny blue dot on each upper left and right of the bullseye target. 10 points to succeed, zero if you fail. 99% of the time you fail. Second game was to have an imaginary tic-tac-toe board and win that game. Another game was to hit each level of bullseye twice and then end the game with a kill shot. We then played another 20-throw high score. When it came to the kill shot to win, this took a very long time and we almost didn't have enough time to play the second 20-throw. But, I finally got it and we played. Happy to say I won everything except tic-tac-toe. The facility has at least 10 lanes to throw, a small lounge with some video games and pool table, a stage area for bands or comedians, and plenty of tables to stand around and watch the TVs or people throwing. There are competition leagues and Tilted Axes is certified to have them. They sell a little bit of food, but you can bring in all you want and beer, too. If this place was crowded, and our AxeMaster said it does at times, I do not know if we would have had as much fun because of the diminished time you would have had to throw and the hour or two does go quickly. While you are playing your games, you do have the option to switch out which axe you can throw. You have to sign waivers which are done electronically. Don't forget to tip your AxeMaster! We had a great time and our shoulders are a little bit sore. We really liked the experience and would definitely do it again! We had a gift certificate, but I was told a two-hour session is about $42 for one person, and about $25 for a one-hour session. I'm sure the website has the group rates and competition league rates and rules.
