Food was very tasty and the service was fun! It isn't very updated but there's plenty of room for dining in.

We kicked things off with the trio of dips -- beet hummus, classic hummus, & baba ganoush -- all silky smooth perfection. Then came the kibbeh & the crispiest wings ever. For mains, we dove into the chicken shawarma wrap & the Sham mixed grill with rice -- juicy, flavorful, & worth every bite. Of course, no celebration is complete without something sweet, dessert was hareese and kunafe. From start to finish, everything was bursting with flavor & the service made it feel extra special. Worcester foodies, this spot is a must-try!

Mo, who helped me with pickup, is exceptionally hospitable, friendly and kind. i ordered the mixed grill feast plate with extra chicken, rice, salad, onions + parsley, three pieces of falafel, plus white sauce, garlic sauce, and fresh tzatziki. the meal is so deliciously fragrant, with the rice smelling and tasting so nutty and sweet, and the meats & falafel seasoned and cooked to perfection. all of the seasonings tasted as if there were 500 flavors packed in and balancing each other in harmony. their sauces were all super fresh; a standard serving is enough but i wish i ordered extra just because. you don't actually need any sauces with how flavorful everything is, though. everything is seriously impressive. mixed grill feast plate 10/10 salad 10/10 falafel 10/10 sauces 10/10 i can't describe this meal as anything other than perfect, no exaggeration. i will definitely return, to eat in or for takeout. special thanks to the amazing reviews that convinced me to try sham restaurant, they are accurate and their food really is *that* good. i can't recommend sham restaurant enough! ambiance: 5/5 food: 6/5 drinks: n/a service: 6/5 sham restaurant: 5/5

A pleasant surprise on this rainy day! We smelled something really really good wafting from this…read morerestaurant's grills while walking by, so we decided to give it a try for lunch. And we're glad we did! Nice selection of meze plates to share: we had a saganaki (flambéed toasted cheese) that was salty and savory; grilled octopus that was very tender and delicious; creamy umami Greek giant beans (fasolia); and sauteed wild greens (Horta), slightly bitter and refreshing, reminiscent of southern collard greens; and souvlaki of chicken and beef (smoky and tasty - this is what we smelled outside!) with lemon potatoes. Outstanding!

The entire restaurant was empty aside from 2 tables when we arrived. They crammed us literally 6 inches away from 1 of the 2 tables filled. I initially was taken aback but the two ladies sitting next to us kindly slid their table over a tad to give us more space (we were beside a wall to the other side near the door). Honestly - I'm glad I didn't say anything because by 5:30 the entire restaurant was filled and it was nice to have nobody on one side of us. They served bread drizzled with olive oil with some olives to start. There was nothing particularly wrong with the bread, however, being a Greek restaurant, it may have made a lot more sense to serve fresh warm pita as the starter bread course. We ordered the Feta Saganaki to start. That was absolutely the star of the entire show! Very crispy on the outside with a hot gooey feta cheese on the inside, drizzled with ample amounts of honey, and sprinkled with sesame seeds. Absolutely to die for. I started with the Greek sangria - it was fine, but nothing special. My husband got one of the three espresso martini options and he really enjoyed his drink. The restaurant got busy very quickly and it didn't seem they had enough waitstaff on. Everyone was sort of running around with their heads cut off, and service was slow and inattentive at times. For dinner, I had the moussaka. It was very salty and the béchamel sauce on top was sort of gelatinous. It didn't taste bad, but it was a very odd consistency. My husband got the kebab plate with steak and chicken. It was served over a bed of rice with a small side salad. Nobody came back to the table to ask how our meals were after serving us. We really needed salt and pepper, which was not on the table and my husband wanted to order another drink. We had to ask two different servers before we got the drink, but never got the salt or pepper. We took a piece of baklava home to enjoy after the show. It was delicious! We are not in the area and it's unlikely that we would be back to this restaurant in the future. We are foodies at heart and had this been a delicious meal - we likely would have driven all the way back to Worcester just for dinner. It unfortunately sort of missed the mark.

The place looked as good as it ever. We like the decor, the layout and the photographs on the wall. The owner, George, was seated at his usual place by the bar and somewhat surprisingly remembered my name! After settling in and ordering drinks, we decided to share a bunch of dishes (hard to choose from an excellent menu). In the end we settled on the following: Spanakopita, Fasolakia, Patates Lemonates, Souvlaki, a side pita (to mop up some of the flavors), and the ( most expensive dish on the menu at $46) the four delicious Padakia lamb chops. Although we were full we had the Portokalopita for dessert. Our server, Daniel and his helper, were cheerful and attentive. The check came to $45 per person - well worth it. It was an outstanding evening of excellent food with good company: one of the best meals we have eaten in quite a while. One cannot ask for more, and had to give the place a rare five stars. We will return sooner than later.

We may have caught an off night. Service was friendly and attentive--especially considering there appeared to be just one server covering the room--but the kitchen was very slow. The delay carried over to our second round of cocktails as well. The biggest issue was the keftedes (our last dish), which unfortunately came out undercooked (rare) in the center. We'll give them another try, as there's clearly potential here.

While I commend that, I do love a spinach calzone with no cheese but oh well. I had a falafel bowl instead and the falafel was good and I liked the hummus. The portion was a good size too. I just wasn't a huge fan of the rice pilaf, it tasted more like very lightly seasoned rice and not pilaf. I'd definitely go back and get lettuce and fries as my base or get a falafel wrap. The price was pretty fair too.

A little disappointed with my steak being over cooked but it was still good and the rest and salad bar was great! We had just the best server. Her name was Chauntel. She was incredible kind and very attentive! However as we were ending our meal and received the check It was about 6:45 pm and most ppl in the dinning area had left. There was one older woman with long dark hair was sweeping as our server had just completed our payment. She takes a few steps from us as the other women asked her if she wanted the broom. She was trying to tell the woman she was busy (ever so nicely). The other women kept pushing and telling her well aren't you going to sweep your area. I can't convey over text how incredibly rude and belittle this woman was to her but it was very upsetting To see her talk down to her so loudly as she was minding her own business working on what she was working on. (within seconds from finishing up with us) At the end of the women speaking to her we were getting up and with a very red face (sure she was embarrassed) she smile and said have a nice nite! I also got some BBQ chicken potato skins. The restaurant itself is very pleasant, a large interior that you wouldn't guess from the outside. It has a cozy ambiance, and it has a very local feel as a lot of the other customers and the staff seemed to know each other. The staff are also super friendly and there wasn't much time between any time I needed something and receiving it. The soup and salad bar is on the menu for $15 standalone and I'm not sure the limited variety warrants that, but as a part of the meal it was just enough. I really enjoyed the beef and bean soup, though the New England clam chowder was pretty bland. The salad bar was well kept and had enough to make a solid salad. The prime rib came out before the potato skins appetizer, so that was odd, but at least you know the kitchen isn't holding dishes up under a heat lamp. The potato skins were alright but the chicken was pretty dry and nothing I'd order again. The real disappointment was the prime rib. My knife wasn't sharp enough to get through the rubbery skin that surrounded it, rather than having a nice seasoned crust. The meat was firm and fairly flavorless, and the au jus that came with it didn't add anything either. The whole preparation needed more salt, pepper, herbs, and maybe a touch of aging to let it penetrate. The mashed potatoes and gravy, similarly, were bland and unenjoyable. I can say the menu is broad, so you may find something else on it, but I don't think this is your destination for delectable prime rib.
