So glad we stopped at this gastropub located in downtown Southbridge. . We love trying unique spots with adventuresome food. The breakfast ramen fit the bill. Served in a pork broth,it was full of sausage, bacon, noodles, nori and cheese and a very well prepared fried egg . Everything blended into mouthfuls of yumminess. My husband enjoyed his breakfast empanadas but they were not nearly as filling as my choice. The house front manager checked on us several times and Carly our waitress was friendly as well. I love everything about this place! They are so accommodating. If you have any dietary restrictions or you're vegan or vegetarian. Everything is made from scratch so if you don't want certain things listening on say the ramen for example they don't have to pick it out for you to be able to enjoy. The first time I went here, I felt instantly comfortable. The restaurant employees were so welcoming. They always have weekend specials, which they post on social media. Their ramen is some of the best ramen I've had in Massachusetts. Their cocktails are also creative and delicious. Prices are pretty standard for dining out in today's age. And there is a parking lot next to the restaurant so you don't have to worry about the typical downtown street parking! What a hidden gem. We were greeted in a warm and friendly way. The menu had so many unique and creative choices. My husband and I stopped in for lunch while we waited to meet part of a rescue dog transport. Beautiful decor. We had a super nice waitress. We had been to Hangover Pub a few times before they closed. I had been hankering ramen. So I was happy to see they had a few choices of ramen on the menu. I got french onion ramen. Highly recommend. I have no pictures to share :( I was out with a bunch of friends and we were laughing and giggling that I lost track of my duties and shoveled my food in. I will say ... What a fantastic job on decorating from the longstanding breakfast shop this used to be. Loved seeing all the live plants and open, breezy vibe they created. Our waitress was attentive and nice. Sadly I don't remember her name. I ordered a crispy buttermilk chicken sandwich, it is thigh meat of which I am not a fan, but I gave it a go because the toppings along with pickled cabbage sounded fascinating. And I'm glad I did. I've been dying to try this place ever since The Hangover Pub closed and the previous chef opened his own place. Unfortunately it was just meh. Went for Father's Day and obviously didn't look closely enough at the website because they ONLY serve brunch on weekends, no lunch. Thats on me, but I was really excited to try some lunch items and less enthused about brunch. Our wait time for food is one reason I had to dock a star. It took 25 minutes or so between ordering and getting our food and we were the only people in the restaurant. In fact, another couple came in, ordered, ate and checked out before we got our meals. My dad and bf got the fried chicken and corn cakes - they said the chicken was average, corn cakes were good but the sunny side egg was completely over fried to the point that the yolk was not even jammy, almost chalky like a hard boiled egg. They said the wait on all the food was because the corn cakes were cracked or something?? They did give each guy an extra short stack to take home, but none of that was necessary. This may have been why all the eggs in our meal were overcooked? It was a weird excuse but I was appreciative of their transparency about the wait. My dad's gf got the bacon, Brie and jam grilled cheese. She did say it was absolutely delicious and she went out of her comfort zone getting it. I was so happy she enjoyed it. My brunch ramen was just ok but again the sunny side up egg was completely fried hard. The broth wasn't super flavorful, the meats in it were fine, but overall it was just ok ramen. I also got an espresso martini that I will give a 10/10 on, very very good. This is a newer place that recently opened. They do not take reservations. So 4 of us went in at 6 o'clock on Saturday night. It probably took us about 20 minutes to be seated and then another 20-plus minutes to get our drinks, but the drinks were worth the wait! We had the cheeseboard as an appetizer and it was good. I had the Mediterranean salad special and I loved it - avocado, walnuts, chickpeas, feta cheese, and a great dressing! My friend had the mac & cheese and she said it was good. It looks more like a diner to me than a restaurant/bar. It was so open and cheerful. i loved the lighting. We sat at the bar very nice bartender made an excellent mai tai for me the best I think I've ever had. I had the most delicious Smashburger, I'm sure it must've been grilled over an open fire. My friend had a turkey club that was so huge and so beautiful. We really love the homemade potato chips. First of all, the food was amazing, but a little expensive. The main issue was the service. There was only one server working. Whenever we asked her for something, it never came, and we would have to ask her a second time before we got what we wanted. One example were beers we ordered. For some reason, she was the one who had to go pour them. Not sure why the bartender doesn't do this for her? There was a party seated near us, who got fed up waiting for their food and left. From the time we sat down to the time we left, it took an hour and 45 minutes. I also know that their chef who worked there and pretty much ran the place recently left. Perhaps this is why the food took so long. Even though it is small and probably holds about 30 people, they really need to have two servers working, especially on a weekend night. We have been enjoying the excellent quality of Honest Eats since they have opened. Little did we know that they offer an extensive catering menu till we were searching online for a take out order on their website. They recently catered a dinner to help us with a memorial for our daughter's life. The menu satisfied a wide range of age groups and dietary restrictions. We started with with a fruit platter and a a charcuterie platter which included specialty Italian meats, mixed variety of cheeses and dried fruits: apricots, figs, dates and more. The main large platters were: pasta Aglio e Olio with marinara side sauce, meatballs, freshly grated parmesan cheese, bourbon salmon, chicken piccata, , assorted farm fresh vegetable medley. Stopped in today with a business partner for a quick lunch. We ordered calamari as an appetizer. This was by far the most tender calamari I have ever had. It melted in your mouth, no chewy pieces whatsoever. I had the smash burger, per my usual, and it was great! My partner ordered miso ramen, which he thoroughly enjoyed.
