We rode our bikes up to Cicero for dinner and for dessert ice cream. This was our time trying Alexander's on the Square here our honest opinion on the two flavors we ordered. We chose Moose tracks and Peanut Butter. The Peanut Butter ice cream is mainly just chocolate ice cream with very minimal peanut butter mixed in. Out of the two flavors we preferred the Moose Tracks- we both LOVE Recess cups which mini ones were included in this flavor. So if you also enjoy peanut butter we'd recommend the Moose Tracks over the flavor "Peanut butter". Service was OK, they prepared the ice cream cups pretty quickly to us. They offer pleanty of outdoor tables for enjoying your ice cream there OR you can plan to order though the drive threw and take it to go. Overall, ice cream was just OK would get again but wouldnt be our first pick and not going out of the way for it. Cheers! read more

This is just a little ice cream stand next to the Boathouse. That's no inside seating, but there are numerous picnic tables in the grass. My milkshake was good and it came out fast (less than 3 minutes). read more

Perfect stop on such a hot day! Server happily let us try a flavor before buying. I got the strawberry which was delicious. Got it in a waffle cone, which was ok, unfortunately stale in some parts but the strawberry ice cream made up for it. Recommend stopping by if you're walking around the area or need a refresher from boating. read more

This could be a great place. The ice cream we ordered was not what we got. When I questioned our ice cream order, he told me that is what we ordered and proceeded to call the next order. WOW, no customer service. Great spot to stop at if you are boating on Morse! Plenty of free dock space, climb the stairs and cross the street to Alexander's and choose from their extensive moderately priced ice cream treat menu! They have a TON of choices! If you want to get ice cream and then walk over to watch a summer sunset over Morris reservoir, this is the place. The ice cream is good. Yes there is a line, but if there wasn't, you wouldn't want to go. That's called Baskin Robbins. No line, cause no one goes, because it's just bad. Got it? Good! read more

This cute walk-up stand is a great placement for a bustling lake community. They have a full food menu and an ice cream menu. There is a parking lot, a drive-thru, walk-up window and tables with umbrellas. I've only been here once & did not try any food. It's typical fried food with a few vegetarian options like grilled cheese and fried mushrooms. My husband got an Oreo shake and it was super delicious! I got a chocolate soda and was not crazy about it, seemed pretty flavorless. But it was my first time ever getting a chocolate soda anywhere, so I'm going to give them the benefit of the doubt because maybe they all taste like that. I loved seeing the golf carts going through the drive-thru - very fun to see that they still are able to service them through the drive-thru. Lots of employees working to keep service fast. Our order was not what we wanted. They gave us soft serve ice cream instead of a hard scoop. I told the girl at the window that it wasn't what we wanted. She told me that the hard ice cream cost more . I told her that I'd pay the difference. She told me that they wouldn't remake it because it was made they way that the ticket was put in by the cashier. She said that I'd have to pay for a whole new ice cream. Awful. The service was SO bad. One of the employees was on there phone the entire time. The staff was so rude. I overheard a frustrated customer. He said he had been waiting there for 45 for a burger! It took one of the employees over 15 minutes to make a small soft serve! Alexander's is definitely one of those ice cream places you'd expect to be right next to a lake in a small town. Great clean environment nice staff and overall nice aura surrounding this place. The mocha chiller was just what I expected when I ordered and that's all you can really ask for especially for the price. I've been here a few times. The food is really good. The menu is pretty large so there's a lot to choose from. The ice cream is really good as well. The wait is extremely long. The second time going here, we ordered 3 coney dogs and 2 drinks. We waited a good 30 minutes before our food was ready. Next time, I'll be going earlier in the day when it's not as busy. read more

Really disappointing experience. I ordered a strawberry sundae in a waffle bowl and I was given a small scoop of strawberry ice cream with chocolate fudge drizzle. My kids and I enjoyed the hospitable and friendly service today, especially after coming from across the lake from Cicero pool where we did not feel good vibes as a black (kids biracial) family after spending time swimming there today with quite a few local moms and the non friendly teen staff. I have to say the service here is a welcome reprieve from that mess. Very helpful with selections of ice cream as well as a sample for one kiddo. When I received incorrect order, I was asked if I was sure I had told them the correct order!? Then they gave me the order with part fixed, but now they changed the main flavor & it was not what I had originally ordered. When I point out it was still incorrect, I was asked if I could see how busy they were, as if I should take the still incorrect order & be happy. Unlike others who have had bad service, I found the young lady behind the counter very friendly. Maybe they have hired some new and improved help. What I really didn't care for was the ice cream. Now I've been to the Alexander's On The Square in Noblesville, but never before have I ventured to the one in Cicero. I'm sure glad I did. I had a hankerin for some cold goodness, but when I got there the wind had picked up and winter decided to rear its ugster head again. I was shivering as I ordered a Reese's Cup Sundae. Totally worth it! Chocolate sauce and Reese's Cup crumbled in a smooth blanket of vanilla soft serve. A great snack before dinner (not!). I couldn't even finish it I was so full. One thing I will say is the sizes are bigger than you would think. I ordered a small and didn't finish it and I never leave food on the plate! Especially when it's as good as this was. There is plenty of outdoor seating (I ate mine inside the vehicle) and the parking is ok with a few spots up against the building. So cheap!! I ordered a medium peanut butter fudge sundae and it was only $2.91! So for a girl on a budget, it was music to my ears. Having grown up in Noblesville I've always been a fan of Alexander's, and now I frequent this one because of it's ideal location during nice weather. Food was good. Delicious root beer float. Thought the same thing last time I was there last fall. They need to invest in a power washer. Concrete in the serving and eating area needs to be cleaned often. The building also needs to be cleaned. Just got back from giving this place a try. We went for the 2 for $6.50 Tenderloin special and got fries for the side. Shared a Diet Coke as it's the only low-calorie solution other than water. Tenderloins ordered deluxe with american cheese. No cheese, mustard and pickle only. Asked for ketchup and was told no packets but they could give us a 1oz condiment cup full. She grabbed 6 from the cooler each containing less than 1/4 of an oz of Ketchup. Still no cheese. Finally told us the cheese was bad. Okee Dokee. Went to eat and the Tenderloins were a typical frozen pork fritter that while not great was at least warm. The fries on the other hand were so under-done it was like eating raw potatoes and the oil must have been a couple days old. All in all. Get their ice cream in a cup plus a hotdog and you're probably safe. Leaving this place in the hands of (4) teenage girls results in just this type of experience. PASS ! read more
