Alex is a sorceress. I came to her with an almost impossible assignment: can you get head shots for me without showing my face, like in the dark and stuff? I kid you not. That was my brief. (The shots are for my romance author pseud, so anonymity is key). She went way above and beyond to nail the shoot- asking around with fellow photographers for shooting location ideas, spending hours with me to get all the shots I wanted. I honestly can't remember a time I had more fun... it was like exploring downtown Seattle with her, flexing our creativity and seeing what she could come up with. She is an absolute gem. On a scale of 1 to 10, Alex is amazing. Scott and I never really anticipated fretting over small details and approached our ceremony with a "let's roll with it" mentality as much as possible. Well, turns out that attitude is great, but it doesn't mean you don't have decisions to make. When we first met with Alex, she asked a handful of questions we weren't expecting but she quickly identified what we were looking for in a photographer and in our wedding photos--someone who we trusted to take incredible photos and make decisions on the fly. Alex invested time in getting to know Scott and I, checking in occasionally prior to the wedding to see how planning was going. Those thoughtful reminders and niceties helped Scott and I remain excited and avoid being overwhelmed during our planning. On the day of the event, as I frantically searched for my lost car, Alex snapped one of a stressed out Scott eating (one of my favorites) along with other details photos of guests waiting to head to the ceremony. While taking advantage of the down time, Alex also was sure to check in periodically throughout the event to make sure we were able to capture the memories while we were making them. My vision was so focused on Scott and I that day I often forgot about those around us. A camera is a really funny contraption in that way. Through such a small, focused hole light bleeds in. I will never be able to rave enough about Alex from Alexandra Knight Photography. She was the best combination of professionalism, new found friend, and creative soul that we could have even encountered. From start to finish her services were well-organized, never forced, and created beautiful images that we cannot wait to have for the rest of our lives. Alex started off by meeting with us in person to cover over the services her would be offering us, gave us upfront pricing, and generally made us feel way more comfortable and knowledgable about what our day of photography would look like. We arranged for a family photo shoot with Alex she was perfect from beginning to end. She got to the location early to scout out good spots, which aren't the easiest to find outdoors on a rainy day. Oh man, how much can I rave about Alex of Alexandra Knight Photography?! She was an old friend of my husband's from college and the minute I saw her work online, I fell in love. Folks, we were married at Snoqualmie Falls during TORRENTIAL rain. Not everyday Seattle rain, the kind of rain that made the Falls double in size (October 2015)! Alex came READY, ready, ready.
