And she made me feel confident and beautiful for our maternity shoot, which is no small feat when working with a 37-week pregnant lady. Our son probably took his best nap ever during his shoot with her, and she was moving/swaddling/everything else to get the perfect shot. If you're in need of beautiful photos that you'll treasure forever - Caitlin is your girl! After searching through dozens of photographers on yelp/Instagram/google, we decided on Sissy + Lou Photography for their professionalism, transparent booking process, and beautiful portfolio of images. Booking was easy peasy- Alexa reached out to help us with choosing a date and time that worked for us, a location, and answered all of our (many) questions. She made the entire process a piece of cake, especially during a global pandemic where scheduling got a little bit tricky! As for the photography portion: Caitlin made me feel SO comfortable while shooting our maternity session. I can honestly say that I was blown away with the images we ended up with. The "poses" were so natural and didn't feel forced, almost like my husband and I were just on a regular outing together. And she made this 31 week pregnant mama feel beautiful! Fast forward to our baby's arrival: Wesley decided to arrive a couple of weeks early, and in the thick of a pandemic. We were a little worried that we wouldn't get to have any photos taken at all. However, we were able to have his newborn session done right around 7 weeks old. Truthfully, I was a bit nervous and anxious about how they'd turn out since we are in a pretty small apartment, and I didn't know how well our space would allow for Caitlin to be able to move around to do her thing. But let me just say - she worked her magic and now we have photos of our sweet little boy that we will treasure forever. She also came prepared with a mask, gloves, and hand sanitizer and was SUPER mindful of socially distancing as best as she could. Caitlin is amazing! She made us feel comfortable in taking photos- which, for us isn't that easy of a task. She kept my newborn asleep while my toddler was touching and prodding him (still don't know how she managed that) and best of all took great pictures that I totally love and will be able to enjoy and look back on. She even told me if there were any photos online that I found that I'd like that she would look at them and take some similar, which she did. I got my photos very timely and she always kept me informed on what to expect through the whole process. Caitlin has a special touch. Sessions with her are easy going and stress-free, which when you are dealing with toddlers is usually not the case. She was very personable and knew how to engage with the entire family. Our kids can point out which pictures they took or posed us for and are so proud of their work! We knew after our mini maternity session that we had found a great photographer and she didn't disappoint for the newborn shoot either. Immediately after she left both times, my husband and I say to each other how much we like her..and that's without seeing the pictures!
