-Potato pancakes are amazing! - Drinks are strong if that's what you like... i couldn't finish it lol but if i could handle my liquor it would be great - Sausage and mustards are great! - Decor is super adorable with greenery and lights and there's lots of seating - Schnitzel is fine - Sides were underwhelming

The food was decent, but the service wasn't not great at all! My dish was served with a hair in it and when I brought it to the server's/bartender's attention he said there's nothing he can do about it at that point...

Went to this spot for the first time on Friday & definitely enjoyed it. Hope to go back sometime again for karaoke. I had this big pretzel with 3 types of sauce - all delicious flavorful sauces. Also - one of the bartenders, possibly the only one working, is an awesome singer!

Such a fun trivia night!!! You have to spend 15 dollars per person to join trivia night. It was super fun and very inclusive of all topics. I would certainly return for trivia. We had a super delicious pretzel and two 1L beers. The beer was very good and the prices are so reasonable for a King Street spot. The service was a little slow but I'm guessing it's because the spot was so crowded. If you bring a baby I recommend bring noise cancel headphones. My baby slept through most of the noise this way.

Authentic German cuisine. I truly enjoyed every menu item we dined on. The surprisingly good choices were the tacos and a margarita. Who would expect tacos from a German restaurant to be tasty. The restaurant is beautiful design and our waiter was very helpful by providing recommendations.

Solid, solid place to stop by and have a cold one. Wife and I stopped here before dinner and had the kolsch and it was pretty damn good. Also had the pretzel as a quick bite and that was pretty good too. Stop by here for good beer and appetizers.

We stopped in for a late night bite. The place wasn't super busy in the dining area, the bar was busier. The food menu was everything you'd expect from a German restaurant. We split the Bratzel between the two of us and it was the perfect size for us. The brats were delicious and the pretzel was buttery. I wasn't a fan of the beer cheese but my husband finished that off. I liked the bratwurst and my husband liked the debreziner which had a little spice but not too much. I was hoping there would be a little bigger beer selection but they kept it all German. I got a side of the warm sauerkraut but I wasn't impressed since I'm not a fan of caraway seeds but they kept it authentic so I'm not taking away any points. The waiter was nice but it seemed short staffed so we waited just a little longer than we normally would.

Came here for their comedy show night and it does take place upstairs. It does start after happy hour so if you want the happy hour promotion you have to be there before. I will say they add on 20% gratuity without letting you know so that was a bit of a surprise when all we ordered was two drinks, an apple pie, some chicken fingers and spent over $60 so..: there is that. My apple pie was also burnt a little on the top and bottom but it wasn't terrible.

Great venue, true German beer in 0.5l, 1l, 2l sizes. Real German food in an authentic venue. Specials and days for discounts are good value. Sitting at the bar is fun, the rooftop is lovely and popular. Arcade games are doted around and free to play. A fun and different place to visit or be a regular.

Came here for the outdoor seating during Oktoberfest period and I love the ambience. The music playing in the back is such a throwback to the 90s and we shared some snacks in addition to 2 rounds of beer.

This is one of the few places that sells schofferhoffer which is fantastic. The place immediately gives you a German beer garden feeling with its long tables with benches. The food is of German origin and is tasty. They have two floors and and a roof top. The inside is a little noisy for but no louder than any other bar in old town. The service can be a little slow at times if you dine in but the bartenders are quick, friendly, and always helpful when you ask for a recommendation.

Service: came for the bar crawl and the bartenders were so slow. Food: only had beer. They had good cider but it was $11 a can!!! Ambiance: chill vibes and rooftop bar

I'm a fan of the rooftop! Not too many in old town alx and this has a fun vibe. I've been happy with my cocktails and drinks here but I do request them to be less sweet. I usually get an aperol spritz or margarita sort of cocktail. Both the pretzel and skewers were tasty -- but I really enjoyed the pretzel! It came out hot, crispy on the outside, and a nice texture inside.

I ordered the corned beef and cabbage on DoorDash, fully expecting the usual takeout roulette: soggy cabbage, tired meat, and a mild sense of regret. Instead? I got hit with a full-on Irish blessing disguised as dinner. The corned beef was so tender it practically whispered "top of the mornin'" and fell apart on command. No knife, no effort--just fork, bite, and immediate life improvement. Juicy, flavorful, and cooked like someone back there has ancestral pride on the line. And the cabbage? Listen... cabbage is usually just there for emotional support. Not this time. This cabbage had purpose. This cabbage had ambition. By the end, I wasn't "finishing my meal"--I was chasing the last bites like I'd just spotted the end of a rainbow. Container: empty. Dignity: questionable. Satisfaction: unmatched. If this is what survives a DoorDash trip through Old Town, I'm convinced eating it fresh in the pub might unlock hidden Irish heritage I didn't even know I had.

Haven't been to Chadwicks in a while, so it was nice to convene for a recent brunch to catch up with some friends. While there is limited outdoor seating, I prefer the upstairs since it's typically quieter, and the abundant windows naturally illuminate the space. The interior is also characterized by nautically themed decor, along with exposed brick walls and hardwood flooring. TBH, this is one of the better Brunch spots in Old Town. There brunch menu is extensive - https://static1.squarespace.com/static/68d065ce6d80726524c2bca9/t/6a3d8efe5e4fbd1439f0bc1a/1782419198238/Brunch.pdf - and has all of traditional breakfast offerings of pancakes, french toast, a variety of eggs, sausage/bacon/ham, etc. While there are also lunch type savory options such as sandwiches and chicken and pasta entrees, I opted for the classic biscuits and gravy. I don't normally eat this type of heavy carb heavy dish...but every now and then, it's not so bad. The plate arrived with two buttermilk biscuits, country bacon gravy, two sunny side up two eggs, and home fries. The gravy was nice and thick with pieces of sausage bits, but I found the biscuits on the dry side, rather than buttery and flaky. Eggs were prepared properly and had that satisfying "ooze" when the yolks were popped. Home fries tasted previously frozen and could've used a few more minutes in the fryer. Service was a bit slow as there was only one staff taking orders and delivering food. But he was friendly and would circle back around to check on our group frequently. Pair your meal with a few choices of cocktails (I ordered a $5 mimosa) and Chadwicks brunc h is a great way to spend a few hours on a Sunday afternoon. Service was good. Most of the food, but not all, was very good. What receives high marks were the blackened catfish, fried green tomatoes and chicken quesadillas. The burger was deemed decent, but the crispy fries not so much (I don't know anyone that really likes crispy fries). I had high hopes for the buttermilk-fried chicken. It came nicely presented with a very good coleslaw and a biscuit with a side of bacon-flavored gravy. The mac and cheese was okay but the macaroni underneath the surface didn't have a lot of flavor. The chicken's seasoning and texture were fine, but I really wish when a restaurant says they have fried chicken it's more than just a filet, like actual bone-in meat. But Chadwick's just does a filet as so many other places do these days. The server forgot my clam chowder starter and it didn't come out until after I had already received my chicken. But I sent the clam chowder back. It was so over the top full of thyme it was inedible. I think that there are enough very decent-looking items on the menu, I would return.
