Outstanding Experience at Virtue Feeding Grain in Alexandria! We were in Alexandria for a business trip and kept hearing rave reviews about Virtue Feeding Grain, so we had to check it out. From the moment we walked in, the service was wonderful and welcoming -- the team made us feel right at home. The menu looked fantastic, and we went for the most recommended items: the shrimp tacos, fish tacos, and the Beria bacon cheeseburger. I tried all three and was genuinely blown away by how good everything was. The tacos were fresh and flavorful, but my absolute favorite (and what I'll be ordering every time from now on) is the Beria bacon cheeseburger. Hands down one of the best burgers I've ever had. The dipping sauce was unlike anything I've ever tasted -- so bold, rich, and perfectly balanced with the meat. It took the whole thing to another level. Virtue is the place to go when you want something with a casual but still upscale vibe. It feels more restaurant-y than pub-y, although you can still grab a pint. I've always been impressed with its menu. This time I ended up getting lamb shanks, but during different visits I've tried everything from cony to burgers. Prices are what you'd expect for Old Town. The wine list is also really good. I was happy to see bottles of local Virginia wine available, and I always support places that lend their support to locals. It's super big with a dining area and bar on both floors. We didn't have a reservation but put our name in and found seats at the bar in the meantime. Honestly, I was expecting "just okay" bar brunch food, but I was very impressed with the quality and variety of food options--especially for brunch. The Scotch Eggs were perfectly prepared with a crispy outer layer and a just-past-jammy yolk in the center.
