Drink: The Lavender French 75 Food: Waygu Birria Burger w/ Duck Fat Fries
    Evan H.

Virtue Feed & Grain is a MUST when visiting Old Town Alexandria. Their food is absolutely fantastic, and the service went above and beyond my expectations. I got the waygu birria burger, and all I can say is I never knew a burger could be this good... cooked exactly as l ordered, and the au jus was also very good and had just the right combination of spice and herbs (the duck fat fries are a great side option) For my drink I had the lavender French 75, and it was just the right combination of sweet and refreshing. Clay, our server (and whiskey specialist) was very attentive and extremely polite. He went the extra mile every step of the way from describing the different kinds of fish in their dishes to someone in my party to help them decide, to bringing the bottles from the whiskey sampler for another to learn a little more of what he was sampling. By far, Virtue Feed & Grain is one of the best options for dinner in the Old Town area.

Great group experience m! Excellent food, fresh, hot, creative and substantially sized servings. The Brussels sprouts and calamari will always be my favorites but give the spinach dip and bacon sticks a try also! Everyone had different Entrees and all were highly Rated! Thank you Virtue Feed and Grain for good food and vibes from visitors from AL! Note to large group: they do not do individual checks. Be prepared to split amongst yourselves! Food is so good... it's worth the hassle!

The first time we went we had clay and our time was terrific. However this time we had Miya and she needs more training as a server. She dropped off waters for the table but never introduced herself and left us alone without stopping by for more than fifteen minutes. I was getting ready to head down to the host stand to ask for a new server but in the nick of time, she rescued herself. We kept Miya, but she needs more training on the details. Our food was delicious.

    Incredible selection of Bourbons!

I was visiting my daughter who is a foodie like her dad and she recommended Virtue. It is in a historic old building that is really neat! The service was excellent, the food was excellent, and the Bourbon selection was World Class! I liked it so much I went back the following week!

Went in just before the dinner rush and seated ourselves at the bar. Good selection of beers on tap, do try the Kolsch. Our bartender Mauricio is a cool guy. Got the Wagyu burger with birria and duck fries, excellent! Perfect spot by the water, some street parking nearby. Highly recommend!!

We went on a very busy Saturday night and sat ourselves at the bar. We ordered 2 espresso martinis (made the switch to vodka, instead of their menu offering of bourbon? Maybe). It was delicious. Our food was absolutely INSANE. The portions were extremely generous. Some of the best veggie tacos I've had- Brussels sprouts with pickled onions and a homemade creama. My boyfriend loved his dish as well. Also claiming it was one of the best chicken picatta he's ever had while dining out.0

Yum!! First time trying this spot and all the food was great! Bonus points for cute outside seating too!

We picked this spot for my birthday dinner last night. I got the Baked Rockfish while my partner got the lamp chops. Both entrees were excellent, and I also got the Stardust cocktail, which had plenty of crushed pomegranate, yummy but strong. To close out our meal, we each had dessert. he had a peanut butter pie with macadamia ice cream while I had the lemon raspberry cake. Overall, I'd give it another go if I were in the area and pinched for options (but I haven't explored Olde Town much so Id probably explore new spots). I felt the prices were fair for the area and the ambience was great too. Service fell short a bit - we didn't get checked on until it was time for dessert, and then dessert took forever to come out, almost making us late for our movie.

We are in town to watch some D1 softball and visit DC. Staying in Alexandria South. Our first visit to Old Town brought us here after a bit of a walk. The outside is beautiful and the reason we stopped to see if they had room without a reservation. Seating outside, first floor and second floor. We were seated on the second floor with our own window to the outside. We look the building, architecture, and ambiance/decor. Our server, Val, was very friendly and attentive. We ordered drinks and apps to include, scotch eggs and Brussels. So good and the food came out quick! For the dinner, it was the Southwest Caesar salad with chicken and the chicken carnitas tacos. Both were excellent. Would we come back? Yes most definitely. Item of note, the staff handled a birthday, regular patrons, and tables with a large amount of kids without blinking an eye!

Virtue is the place to go when you want something with a casual but still upscale vibe. It feels more restaurant-y than pub-y, although you can still grab a pint. I've always been impressed with its menu. This time I ended up getting lamb shanks, but during different visits I've tried everything from cony to burgers. Prices are what you'd expect for Old Town. The wine list is also really good. I was happy to see bottles of local Virginia wine available, and I always support places that lend their support to locals. For my latest visit I had an awesome waiter, who really took care of us (and our birthday girl).

I came here for my best friend's graduation. I appreciate how they had outdoor seating. They also have two levels. The ambiance is nice, especially when you first walk in. The food was good. We had the crab dip for an appetizer and it was nicely seasoned. The strawberry lemonade is good, but it's not a lot for the price. I ordered the short rib; it was good, but they only gave me two small pieces of short rib. In terms of service, our waiter was attentive and kind.

We walked in at 5pm with a party of five and were seated immediately! The food was amazing, the drink and dinner special were great and the service was incredible! It was perfect for our family dinner!

TLDR; super beautiful establishment, great service overall, very fresh food. Atmosphere: Went here tonight for a friend birthday dinner. The upstairs features a beautiful light tree (see pictures) in the center that really makes the experience magical. Our server, Coy was extremely nice, attentive and answered all our questions. Food: The chicken piccata was a 7/10, only because i wanted a little bit more flavor to it. Otherwise, it was extremely fresh, a lot of sauce, the chicken was extremely crispy and paired well together with the angel hair. I definitely took my leftovers home. My friend had the lamb chops and said it was a 10/10. They cooked it exactly how he requested it. Drink: I got the mocktail, Winter Fizz. Superrrr refreshing, flavorful and paired well with the meal. I was tempted to get another round ! After my server, Coy, offered us some tea and I definitely got some. It was a perfect ending to the meal.

Since we probably would only go weekends for an hour or two, I'm glad there are the options for one time pay or multi hour passes for future use. Since we weren't sure if we'd be back, we gave it a try for one hour. Prices may change but our first time was $18 per child per hour. This may seem high for only one hour, but my kids had fun and my hour without worrying about them or being interrupted was very productive so it was worth it. Staff are friendly. I only wished they had gluten free options for the kiddos to enjoy after their play. Guess we can bring our own next time! :)

The hotel is really beautiful and there is nothing I like more than a courtyard. This area is well-maintained and very relaxing.
