I hired Alex for my wedding makeup. She was easy to communicate with, charged a fair price, and was flexible with changing number of services. I'd say her energy is a bit scattered and she didn't bring everything she needed for both the trial and my wedding day. But the end result was good with makeup, and that's what matters. I found Alexandria online for a makeup appointment for a family photoshoot. Alexandria maintained great communication before the appointment. She came right on appointment time and setup her station very quickly. She was very pleasant and I felt very comfortable having her as my makeup artist. She was able to match my complexion very quickly and did my hair and makeup with pretty good speed with amazing quality. Alex is fantastic! I booked her for my wedding, and set up my first trial for my engagement party. She was so accommodating to my needs, and listened to make sure that she understood the look I was going for (and to be honest, I didn't quite know what I was looking for). When I looked in the mirror I was completely blown away, she took the few things I told her and worked her magic. I booked her again for my bridal shower, and told her things that I thought about after getting my make up done with her that stuck out to me. For example, I as the day went on the full set of lashes were starting to annoy me. So she only put the lashes on the end, and it was a thousand times better. At both events I received so many compliments, she even gave me recommendations for pre-wedding skin products to make sure that skin will be at it's best for my wedding day. Alexandria was amazing to work with! She showed up to my appointment 15 mins early and listened intently to my concerns about make-up. I don't use make-up regularly, have oily skin, and I'm Asian. So, my eyes don't always look good in make-up. But, Alexandria was confident and told me that she's work with brides that come from many different ethnic backgrounds. I would say that I'm a pretty particular bride, but Alexandria was so patient and was 100% supportive of what I wanted. What makes Alexandria so special is that not only is she a great make-up artist, but she understands the chemical compounds/formulas behind the make-up she is using. So, she was able to recommend the best formula for my skin type. Additionally, she brought special lashes that would fit my eye shape and gave me longer looking lashes that wouldn't irritate/poke my eyes. I thought this was extremely thoughtful of her. She also talked about how the make-up would look different in flash/non-flash photography and took multiple pictures for me. She was also very quick to respond before and after my appointment and even gave me her number, so that I could text her about any additional questions I may have.
