I was a patient at Alexandria Dental for probably about 10 years - I started going there close to when they opened. I saw two different dentists and liked both of them very much. The office staff is very good. The problem is the owners. Each of the two dentists I had seen left the practice and each time, the owners instructed all the staff to NOT tell patients they were leaving. I found out when I was sitting in the chair at my next appointment and was told I would be seeing a dentist I'd never met. After the second time, I switched to a different practice. I have had doctors and dentists retire or move and they or the practice always informed me. I found the secrecy to be very disrespectful. I should have been told so I could then decide which other dentist I wanted to see (like the one I had seen on other occasions when my regular dentist was on leave). read more

Omg! I so excited I found this dentist. Quick story: I had previously been to Ingber dental in DC (don't go) and they gave me the runaround for 2 years regarding my front teeth. Every time I went they sent me to another doctor to get more tests done. Orthodontist, periodontist, endodontist?, etc.. and never solved anything. They guessed I had to build up my bite and go to this other type of doc which would have cost $20k and they still weren't sure if that was the way to go! It was so frustrating. I recently got a new job and found this dentist. My first visit was the most thorough visit I've ever had at a dentist (and I've had a lot of dental work done). 1.5 hours. I then saw Dr. Odland who came up with a plan immediately for my front teeth which would be a lot cheaper and easier. I have since gone back to get my front teeth shaved down (eek) and currently have temp crowns on. A bit scary but they talked me through everything and were very gentle and their attention to detail was amazing!! I was there for 3 hours and they made sure I was comfy. Hoping the permanents work out well. I highly rec this office! 10 stars! read more

I needed to find another dental practice since my dentist retired. I read a lot of reviews and looked at my insurance and decided on Alexandria Dental Group. I've had 2 visits and I am pleased. My first visit was a consultation. The dentist was friendly, personable and reassuring. He confirmed the diagnosis of my previous dentist and we made a plan for my return for a crown. I noted the parking was easy and the office staff and dental assistant were helpful and the office was clean with modern equipment. They took X-rays with a hand held device that I had never seen before. My second visit was the first step in a crown. They knew I was nervous but were very kind and were calming and made sure I was comfortable throughout the process. I was fully numb and didn't feel anything. They made a stressful situation better. I have a third visit coming up and I'm not feeling nervous. They made changing dentists a pleasant experience. I'm happy I found this practice. read more

I have been going to Alexandria Dental Group since 2022 and their services were very good my first year there. During my time going to them, i have noticed they are not consistent with the same level of care. I sometimes arrive on time and wait about 15 minutes past my appointment time to receive treatment. Sometimes the cleanings are great, more recently not as much. I believe they have staff turnover at a decent rate, but the service is usually good enough and they always communicate about upcoming visits. It's close, convenient, and the staff are nice. read more

I had my teeth cleaned this week, which was the second time I've had this procedure. The first time (in 2024), my cleaning was excellent, actually perfect. However, this time, yellow spots were left on my teeth along with tartar. The hygienist is lacking, which is putting it mildly; she needs more training or to find another profession. read more

1. It was quite uncomfortable clean up and did not see a doctor post clean up. Also did not receive the typical sample bag with dental hygiene material. 2 . Would like to request a technician who is with the practice full time for further treatments. I like the continuity of care and someone familiar with my dental history. Not pleasant not to know who is going to be treating you. This roving tech practice is unfamiliar to me. 3. I have been so impressed by this office. I have one tooth that has been very problematic for me and finally had to just come out and will say that through the entire process I have felt like the staff and doctors here have cared about making sure I had all the information to make an informed decision and received the best possible outcome. I decided to have the tooth worked on by Dr. Ganesh (the in-office periodontist). Having a tooth pulled doesn't sound fun to anyone I imagine, but she was so kind and gentle and made sure I was okay throughout and made me feel safe in a very stressful situation for which I am very grateful. Also, the post-op pain has been minimal which I believe is because she took the time to do the procedure right while causing minimal damage. Step 1 is done and there is definitely a bit more to go since I'm getting an implant but I'm so glad I decided to have the work done here. read more

I originally tried this office because my regular dentist told me a cavity in a wisdom tooth could not be filled and I should have the tooth removed. Nice/updated/clean office. Very calm aura. In a convenient location of old town Alexandria with a parking garage directly next door to the office (free validated parking--always a plus!). On time service at preselected appointment time (did not have to wait past appointment time to be seen--loved that). The hygienist was extremely knowledgeable and explained everything that was going to happen before/while/after it happened; was also gently yet thorough in her examinations/imaging/cleaning. The dentist took time to explain the findings, so the final examination, ask if I had any concerns or inquiries, provided solutions to those, and did not rush her time with me. The hygienist also made sure to request additional coding review from the technician at the reception area to make sure all services were inputted accurately for proper insurance coverage. All in all--atmosphere, care, pricing, conversation included--the experience was a 10/10 read more

I've been terrified of the dentist since I was a kid due to something that happened way back. I typically start to get extremely nervous, shake, get very cold - the works. Also historically canceled last minute because I get too nervous to go in. I found Alexandria Dental Group through Google a few months ago and they were so incredibly kind, patient and did a great job at explaining what was going to be happening and keeping my nerves at bay. My Registered Dental Hygienist (Madison) was incredibly kind, understanding and exceptional at her job. X-rays, 3D imaging and a terrific cleaning later, I met with Dr. Suska who patiently walked me through everything and even found the time to fix a chipped tooth. I really like this dentist. That means a lot coming from me. Usually I am just "ok" with something and deal with it....so I had to write a review. I had been trying to find a replacement dentist for one I have been seeing for about 30 years. Noelle is very kind and Dr Suska was great. The service providers when you walk in are very friendly and check out was easy. They are patient with you and make sure you understand what is going on in your mouth. They have great systems where you can literally see an up close picture of what they are talking about if it is visible from the outside. They still use X-rays as well. The sealants I had to replace were 1/4 of the cost I was quoted somewhere else. Very transparent with estimated costs and suggestions. They even work with you to tell you the priority of all of their suggestions. Bonus they offer free parking spots in a garage for the building. I was blown away. Double bonus if you refer a friend they give you and the friend a credit on your account. read more

Friendly and caring and professional staff. Dejae is wonderful. She is the one who took my appt over the phone, followed up with the new patient forms, and warmly greeted me upon arrival. She also handles the billing and dealing with the insurance. Dr. Suska is really cool and easy to speak with. She has a great demeanor and puts you at ease. The hygienist was kind and personable and helpful. Overall, the flow of this office is seamless from the initial appt to the actual appt.
