We have been here before for some alterations on pants, suits & dresses, I have referred people here...but NEVER again!!!! My husband took 2 coats to be tailored, one of them was done but the other was going to take some extra work, so before they did that, they wanted to show my husband what needed to be done. We went in there a bit ago and noticed some thread markings on the coat that was tailored, when we asked about it Margarita explained exactly what they were ( it's something all new coats have, we just never noticed) well the other girl in there, maybe her daughter went out of her way to bring a jacket and show my husband, but she had a bit of an attitude when she brought it over. My husband said something to her and she did not like it. She told my husband he was being disrespectful to her, that's when I stepped in and told her she was the one being disrespectful. To make a longer story short, she began arguing with us, while there were other customers in the shop, she was yelling, raising her voice. Now I'm sorry but as Nice and apologetic as Margarita was, we will NEVER return there, nor will we refer any other friends or family there. I usually don't do this, but I'm going to add that my husband is a firefighter, he works hard and just came home today after working 7 days straight and he did NOT deserve to be treated that way. One of the worst experiences I've had in a while. Went inside and no one came out to help for the first 10 minutes we were there. We knew someone was in since they decided to shut the door in the employees only side. After waiting for a while this lady with curly hair came out and was really rude to both my fiancé and I and pretty much ended up kicking us out cause we weren't finding what we were looking for. Have been having a hard time finding any basic bridal store for a bridesmaids dress. Everything is either permanently closed or you had to make an appointment to get anyone to show up and work (and be for real, I'm not setting up an appointment. I'm a bridesmaid not a bride lol). After weeks of searching, Alexis Occasions popped up on Google and I decided to give it a try. When I tell you this woman worked MAGIC! I told her what I was looking for and the first dress she picked for me was exactly what I needed and looked so good on me! I honestly was worried as a bigger girl (40G bust and size 16/18) nothing would fit or I wouldn't like how I look in it. But this dress was actually too big (which if u have anxiety in the fitting room this is literally heaven when something is too big) and the dress was perfect for my body shape. This place is a joke. My husband went in to get his new dress pants altered and they gave him the wrong pants to try on. Since they were new he only noticed that the pants were still really big on him so he told the lady. She told him she would fix them and he would have to return. My husband went back again and came home with the pants, still a little confused about why they weren't fitting right. I noticed they were the wrong pants they had given him. So we call the number on their receipt and a man answers. I asked him if they were still open and he says "yes" so I explain the situation. He then tells me "actually, we're closed". I then tell him that I would like a refund since my husband was going on a out of state trip the next morning and needed the correct pants which he wouldn't have on time. So he gives me the lady's number. I call her and she sounds aggravated and tells us to make yet a third trip to their store in 1 day. When we arrive she was extremely rude and blamed my husband for "not recognizing his pants" SHE should have paid attention when she gave him the wrong pants back to begin with. They were both gray. No accountability on her side, no apology. Do yourself a favor and go elsewhere. Their customer service is the worst. (Poor person whose pants she messed up too because she must've cut of 5-6 inches off those pants. All because an error she made for not checking). read more

So I went with my friend and one of the ladies helped my friend first which was fine but she totally ignored me and didn't give me any dresses for an hour, I was just sitting there. Second she was in the dressing room with my friend while she was stripping and didn't even ask if she was comfortable with that. I had my wedding dress altered here and they were so helpful. Due to the stress of the wedding, I had gained a bit of weight between my first and second fittings. When the dress was a bit too snug, they reassured me that all would be well. They took the dress back out a bit and offered to put in a corset if needed. I am very happy with the customer service and over all experience. Initially just walking in to check out if I could find a coat for my fiancée for our wedding. I was helped by Alexis herself, we vibed at first glance. Not only did we get the exact coat I wanted off Pinterest which made my day. we HIGHLY RECOMMEND Alexis Bridal. my hubby and i walked in to their shop for the alteration of my bridal gown and Alexis is very approachable and accommodating. PROs: Alexis and her team really did a good job in the alteration of my bridal gown and veil. i had numerous requests on my ensemble from the most simple to the most complicated. i feel that they really know what they are doing since my gown has to be altered on the torso, altered the length, put additional hooks for the train, lose shoulders, etc. i had 3 fittings with them. they even closed the door and let my hubby stay outside the shop while i fit since i do not want him to see the gown. aside from efficiency, customer service is also a key. they offered to steam my gown and store it until 2 days before my wedding day. i was very satisfied with how my gown turned out and Alexis was kind enough to take pictures of me on my last fitting day. CONs: the bridal gown alteration is pricey (like i paid half of how much my gown costs) but with the amount of alteration that was done and the quality of work that was put in, it is of course, reasonable. read more

Showed up for an appointment but I felt like the whole time we had to sell the owner on us buying a dress there. Maybe that's a tactic? She asked for our price range, we answered but she talked right over us and asked again more impatiently two sentences later so we repeated our number. I felt like she was half-listening the whole time. She became agitated and asked me why I came in when I told her I had gone to David's bridal already and had a backup dress on etsy. After I talked her into letting me try on a dress she tried to butter me up to make up for being such a brick wall. There weren't any dresses out and I didn't have enough time to flip through their thick stack of books where each dress gets 3-5 pages of different poses. So I had to rely on someone's guess about what I like. I mentioned looking at "vintage inspired" dresses, then she said they don't sell used dresses and argued with me while I tried to tell her what details I liked about those dresses and that believe it or not, in your profession, some designers take ideas from vintage looks and put them on modern dresses. When I asked to see a specific cut for a bridesmaids dress she brought everything but. I was not allowed to take pictures of anything. Whaaaat? Honestly, I might have gone back for a dress there if I could remember what they looked like. All I can remember is that the first wasn't as good as the last two and that the service was pushy. Her parting words were, "shall we do this?" No. I'm not leaving with a dress. I gave myself enough time to actually plan my wedding and consider the dress I want. And look at more than three dresses. And refer to my photos and wedding folder when making that decision. read more

Alexis and Margarita are Scam Artists! My wife went In there to get fitted for a bridesmaid dress for her friends wedding. She came out in tears because the lady told her she was a size 18 dress! My wife is a curvy gorgeous and very beautiful Latina. She was breast feeding our 6 month old baby and her breasts were enlarged but no way near a size 18. She wears a size 10 jeans. We initially thought they just wanted the alteration business but didn't want to assume. When the dress came in, the dress was huge! Like 5 sizes too big! They of course wanted to charge us up the wall for alterations but we took the dress and walked right out. Some nice man on Main Street in Ventura did some great alterations for only $45!
