Modern appliances are a lot like Gen Z = they're built to fail. And while there is A LOT of information online on how to repair your stuff, when the rubber hits the road the opportunity cost of trying to be a repairman vs hiring someone that IS a repairman is generally not in your favor which is why I opted to hire ALFA when my fancy 1-year old GE washer suddenly decided that it didn't want to clean clothes any more. As painful as it was to realize that yes, my washer needed a professional hand after just a year of ownership, Adam from ALFA made it less painful by being a total pro - he arrived on time, was great with his communication, and ultimately fixed my machine so I can get back to washing loads of blood soaked clothes from my victims that...oh crap I said that out loud. All kidding aside, Adam was great and got my machine fixed quickly and was respectful of my home while he was here so at the end of the day did I overpay for some Chinese made part? Yup - most definitely, but my machine now works and the amount of time and energy I saved by hiring ALFA is significantly more than what I paid to get my washer back in action. I have no clue if he cleaned out the dryer vent like he said he would, and I'm left pulling out the dryer again so I can clean up all of the dust and trash he left. This should really count as two reviews because ALFA completed a repair for us and two weeks later very quickly completed a repair for my mother. Our Samsung refrigerator was making very loud noises and the icemaker stopped working. The warranty had expired one month earlier. : ( Messaged ALFA And Mike was very helpful. A technician came the next day, said they'd have to order parts and it would take about a week. Mike messaged me five days later and asked if they could come the next day to complete the repair. Repairs were completed in a few hours at a very fair price. We were impressed at how clean the technician was. Normally when we have repairs to appliances, there's quite a bit of mess to clean up. Refrigerator is now quiet, running properly and the icemaker works better than it has in years! This morning, my mother called me at 6 AM in a panic because her refrigerator was making loud noises and stopped working. I called Mike and he said he would try to fit her in the schedule for the same day. He called back within 20 minutes with a time range.
