Ginger turmeric lemonade, half Dear Darla Wrap, half Buffalo Goddess Wrap (swapped halves with daughter)
Gretchen T.

Stopped at Alfalfa for lunch with my daughter. Had a wonderful meal! We ordered two wraps and shared them. We had the Dear Darla and the Buffalo Goddess. Both were so good. The wraps are generously sized and stuffed with all the yummies so every mouthful is wonderful. We also had the ginger turmeric lemonade and the chocolate brownie. Recommend you try both!

I fear I just don't understand the hype. Got the Calabrian chili chicken Caesar wrap and it was good but nothing to write home about. However, the employees were nice and there were good seating options/vibes.

Fantastic salad spot for a quick lunch! Ambiance & Service: two tables outside and more tables inside. It's clean and food came out relatively fast! Food: - Buffalo Goddess Salad: Delicious!! Loved the buffalo cauliflower and green goddess dressing. Salad was very filling and lasted two meals! 100% recommend!

This was my first time trying this place out. My friend recommended it because of the clean selection of salads/wraps they have. We walked in on a week day so we basically had the spot to ourselves. The service was pretty quick, too. I was impressed with the size of the wrap I got. One half of the wrap alone was pretty filling and had a great amount of protein so no scrimping with that. We were offered to have our leftovers bagged which was really nice, but we bagged ourselves. Definitely a great spot to take a break and catch a bite.

Bacon Burrito in gluten free wrap

I am a regular here for their gluten free donuts and Calabrian Caesar Salad. Today I ordered a breakfast burrito (in a gluten free wrap), WOW! It was fantastic. The gluten free wrap was toasted and tasted as close to a "regular" wrap as it could. It comes with a crema and hot sauce which I got on the side. It tasted fresh and arrived steaming hot. Every bite was delicious and I am excited that their wraps can be made gluten free, I had no idea. 10/10 recommend. This was the Bacon Burrito.

I loved every second of my experience at Alfalfa! From moment you walk in, you're welcomed by a charming, cozy atmosphere that instantly feels like home. The decor is quaint and whimsical, which makes for a great environment to get some work done or catching up with a friend. All of the staff was warm, attentive, and genuinely happy to help, which made the whole experience even better. I had an iced matcha latte that was perfect and not to sweet and the most amazing gluten-free donut that I've ever tried. They're pure magic for anyone unable to have gluten. They have an incredible selection of flavors, the blueberry lavender one that I tried was so good that I had to question whether they were actually gluten-free. The texture perfect, light, fluffy, and just the right amount of sweetness. It's refreshing to find a place where gluten-free treats aren't just an afterthought but are truly delicious and convincing. Whether you're gluten intolerant or not, you'll love these donuts! I immediately signed up for their rewards program and am excited to visit as often as possible. Absolutely a must visit!

Great salad spot in Hoboken. The salads are well prepared and generous in portion size. I'm sad the Cobb was removed and since they took toppings off the menu (including bacon even though it's offered in other dishes) I'm making do with the other choices. It would be nice to have some more variety overall.

Lavender Doughnut (~$4)

Ordered: Iced Oat Matcha Latte (~$6) Ancho Potato Breakfast Burrito (~$11): La Fortaleza flour tortilla, eggs, ancho chile potatoes, Mexican cheddar and pepper jack, onion, red pepper, with avocado added (+$2) served with avocado tomatillo salsa and spicy salsa roja de arbol Lavender Doughnut (~$4) Aya's take: Did I expect to spend $20+ on a quick breakfast? No, but it was pretty solid, I will admit. This was going to be my only meal for hours so the Ancho Potato Breakfast Burrito caught my eye. And it was well worth it. The flour tortilla was nice and warm and all the ingredients tasted clean, fresh, and complemented the others well. The added avocado was so necessary - it added that layer of creaminess and broke through the other savory ingredients nicely. My only complaint was some bites of the ancho chile potatoes were less cooked than others. Now the Lavender Doughnut was incredible. For one, all doughnuts are homemade, and secondly, the lavender tasted so legit and the lavender buds on top were a nice touch. The Iced Oat Matcha Latte was the least impressive thing I ordered. It had a bit of a chalky consistency and definitely could've used a bit of vanilla or simple syrup. The aesthetic is nice and it's a cozy spot to grab a bite. Great try overall!

Buffalo Goddess Salad

Stopped in and was seriously impressed by how many salad and wrap options they had--tons of variety! I went with the Buffalo Goddess salad and it hit the spot: super flavorful, super filling. The service was so quick too. Prices are a bit on the higher side, but honestly, it felt worth it. I didn't realize they're also known for their donuts--will definitely be back to check those out next time!

It a cute space with lots of natural light. It was my first time and I ordered their seasonal summer salad turned into a wrap. It was a bit sweet with peaches in it but overall it was ok. The strawberry basil lemonade was refreshing. Service was ok.

Awesome portion for the price!

I've been ordering lunch here the past year maybe longer and can't believe I'm just getting to a review...want a salad? Get alfalfa. Delicious, nutritious, great serving size for the price--not that small plate they give you at other restaurants that cost you $12+ no--alfalfa salads are worth every penny. My favorite recently have been the collaboration they've had with mygirl wellness (now discontinued) and Buffalo Goddess. I've shared a wrap with my son when we needed something quick to grab but kept up the 'veggies most' way I like to eat; for my boy who typically only eats cucumbers, tomatoes, and peppers for veggies--he loved his alfalfa wrap that had ALL the fixings (we shared the Italian). Breakfast wraps are also soo delicious! Homemade chorizo is my personal fave. Also those GF donuts are everythingggg...mascarpone is still my favorite even when they made they switch to GF. Apple Cider may be my second favorite (seasonal) but honestly I love all of them. The bone broth is also too notch. I never ate in here but may in the near future. When I pick up in person, everyone is usually friendly and welcoming. The ambiance seems super chill and laid back too.

Cute and cozy with great salads and also coffee? Yep, yep, yep. I am so happy I found this spot that is absolutely perfect for grabbing a table and working for a few hours. I've stopped in a few times and always got one of their salads and either a coffee or tea and have never been disappoint. It is a great casual spot with a surprisingly affordable menu. All of the ingredients are fresh and flavorful and the meny has so many options. On my last visit I got the seasonal sweet pear salad and oh man... it has pomegranate seeds (and a very generous amount of them), pears, roasted sweet potatoes, walnuts, goat cheese, pumpkin seeds and a balsamic vinaigrette *chef's kiss* Also worth mentioning, the portion sizes are pretty great! Their homemade and gluten free donuts are a big part of their menu but I have never given them a try. But they are on the list. Go for a casual and easy and delicious lunch. I am very sure you will leave full and happy.

Cobb Wrap

Fresh ingredients and a great combination of items on the menu. I tried the Greek wrap and it was yummy. But my obsession lately has been the Cobb wrap. It's just soooo good!

Not only…read moreare the desserts incredible, but the employees were so friendly and pleasant to deal with as well. The star of the show is, of course, the Merveilleux. It's made with light, airy meringue and whipped cream, then covered in chocolate shavings. It somehow manages to be rich and delicate at the same time. I can see why it's their signature dessert. They offer different flavors and sizes too, from mini versions to larger cakes that are perfect for sharing. One of the coolest parts of visiting is that the kitchen is completely open. You can watch the pastry chefs assembling these beautiful creations right in front of you. It's mesmerizing and makes the whole experience feel special. The bakery has roots in Northern France and Belgium, where the Merveilleux originated, but pastry chef Frédéric Vaucamps reinvented the classic recipe to make it lighter and more modern. Whatever he did worked because these pastries are unforgettable. A quick tip: cash only, so come prepared. Honestly, if you're anywhere nearby, I think you need to run there. Between the amazing desserts, the friendly staff, and the chance to watch everything being made fresh, it's one of the most enjoyable bakery experiences I've had in a long time. I know you won't be sorry!

Aux Merveilleux de Fred is a tiny, beautifully fragrant shop on 8th Ave. I ordered the cold brew black and it was one of the smoothest, most satisfying first cups of the day I've had in a long time. Finding genuinely good black cold brew in this city is harder than it should be, and this one hit the spot so perfectly I made a second solo trip before sundown. The chocolate and almond croissant was delicate, flaky, and exactly what a croissant should be. The shop itself is small, no indoor seating, but two benches out front! The staff was warm and the whole place smells incredible the moment you walk in. I've already earmarked the Cramique for my next visit, because if it's anywhere near as good as everything else, I'm in trouble. Do yourself a favor and stop in!

Ok guys here's my eclectic opinion on this spot…read more It's a small quaint spot, but a nice vibe to sit in the back & chill or meetup w/ friends. It's also a very busy spot. Note: Order boxes of these delicious buns & cakes for Office events, House parties, Bridal Showers, Birthdays , Home on weekends drinking tea or coffee etc. I ordered (4) buns. Two Cardamoms very moist & tasty with a hint of bergamot. I may be wrong but the taste is very exotic w/ out loads of sugar like most bakeries. I'm diabetic so that's important to me. The other (2) were the Brown sugar & Walnut, again very tasty & the cinnamon bun. All yummy but we all have our preferences. So, if you haven't been yet you need to patronage this spot you won't regret it. Plus, constant patrons coming & waiting on line to place orders. Awesome! says a lot. I'm never impressed with the size of a place, but the influx of foot traffic & cleanliness. Friendly staff! I've visited Malmo, Sweden & it's nice to know when I have guest visiting I can buy good pastries from here to impress w/ out the sugar rush. I recommend this spot, it's trendy.
