On the hunt for the best cardamom bun in NYC, I'd skip this one. We went around noon on a Friday. There was no line. Our bun was dry and not very flavorful. However, my wife enjoyed their cold brew.

Ok guys here's my eclectic opinion on this spot. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It's a small quaint spot, but a nice vibe to sit in the back & chill or meetup w/ friends.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]It's also a very busy spot.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Note: Order boxes of these delicious buns & cakes for Office events, House parties, Bridal Showers, Birthdays , Home on weekends drinking tea or coffee etc. I ordered (4) buns. Two Cardamoms very moist & tasty with a hint of bergamot. I may be wrong but the taste is very exotic w/ out loads of sugar like most bakeries. I'm diabetic so that's important to me. The other (2) were the Brown sugar & Walnut, again very tasty & the cinnamon bun. All yummy but we all have our preferences. So, if you haven't been yet you need to patronage this spot you won't regret it. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Plus, constant patrons coming & waiting on line to place orders. Awesome! says a lot[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I'm never impressed with the size of a place, but the influx of foot traffic & cleanliness.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Friendly staff! I've visited Malmo, Sweden & it's nice to know when I have guest visiting I can buy good pastries from here to impress w/ out the sugar rush. I recommend this spot, it's trendy.

I love their cinnamon bun bread. I wished I made another visit before returning to CA. I want to get their brown sugar walnut. They also had a good selection of coffee and caffeine test. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It's an intimate space with limited seating. It's enough if you want a chill vibe.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The service was quick with two people at the helm.

I came here when this place first opened, and it's been awhile since I've been back. Happy to see that it survived Covid, and had a line out the door! This placed introduced me to the cardamon bun, and I have been itching to have it again! The guy behind the counter was a one-man show, and he was real cool and nice. I ordered: - 2 cardamon buns - 1 almond bun - 1 sesame roll - 1 sesame bread loaf I'd love to try a coffee next time I visit.

4.7/5 Cardamom Bun -- definitely one of my favorites in nyc! [[HIGHLIGHT]]Love that there is plenty of seating, and you can see the bakers making the pastries in the back.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Reviewing live--- in shop!! Great little bakery and coffee shop. This is the perfect spot for breakfast pastries. No frills and trendy pastries just good classics!! I recommend- - the blueberry crumble. Soooo good - the cardamom bun - bready but sweet. - the Swedish chocolate ball - my partner in crime loved it. A little sweet for me. But still good for that chocolate fix! Everything was delish and not super sweet which I LOVE. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Maybe 10 little 2 top tables inside![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Made a spontaneous visit here on a Saturday afternoon for a pastry snack. Service was quick. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Limited tables - both indoors + 2 outside.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I tried the Cardamom Bun with no expectations and wow - it was delicious! It had a firm, layered texture on the outside with a soft, fluffy inside. Perfectly sweet, spiced, and fragrant. Highly recommended!

Apparently their version of a princess cake
    Bianca R.

I have had a princess cake for over 30 years on my birthday, and hands down this is the worst one I've ever tasted. They unfortunately do not use marzipan (although they promised they do via email), and half the inside of the cake is whipped cream. The cake itself is extremely dense, and whatever they used for the "marzipan" was so bitter is made us sick. I tried to contact the bakery to make it right and they just ghosted me. For $150, this is absurd and actually a scam. They should be ashamed of themselves for lying about their products like this, and unfortunately this is the consequence of terrible customer service. Take your business elsewhere...

The pastries were good and I liked the creativity, but everything would be better warm. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It's a small place and usually there's a line out the door, but it's basically just a take out spot so it moves fast.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

It's very difficult for me to say "cardamom bun" without it coming out "cardamom bum". I'm not sure why, but the fine folks at Fabrique don't seem to have trouble interpreting that what I want is one of these crazy little pastries. Probably because they sell a lot of them, and no wonder: they are fragrant, and texturally fun, and utterly delicious. And now that I've tried them, I think I like the cinnamon buns even better. They are very similar in structure, and both are not too sweet, but absolutely a treat. If you want to verge all the way into savory, pick up some of their seeded crackers as well, which go well in any cracker application you can think of.

Stopped by before a walk on the Highline. It is a Swedish bakery known for traditional baked sourdough bread, pastries, cardamom and cinnamon buns. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It offers a cozy, minimalist Scandinavian vibe with an open kitchen to watch the baking process.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Excellent coffee and pastries .. I had the pleasure of eating a saffron bun. WTH was I missing? I had no idea those were that good ! The flat white was smaller than I expected but it was well done and the milk was steam as perfect as I can remember. The server at the counter was gorgeous and wore a smile. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Great experience.. the ambience could have been better in my opinion but the service made up for it.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Sugar covered bun ( like cardamom but sprinkled with sugar)
    Lubie A.

I had the sugared version of the bun and a cappuccino. The morning crew was very helpful and fast. The pastry tasted buttery and quite sweet of course, on the heavy side. I expected it to be a bit raised and fluffy. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Still the place is so pleasant and good for conversations. Not noisy![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

I've never tried a Japanese cheesecake before and was extremely excited to be able to pick up some treats for my coworkers as well as my partner's birthday cake from Keki. Ordering is fairly straightforward and done with a simple machine outfront. Once your order is ready one of the staff members hands it to you through a window; there is no inside area accessible to customers but our food came quickly and we took it back to the office. The cheesecake was fantastic. I read a bit about the background of the shop online and how the owner really cares about using high-quality ingredients, specifically dairy. It was justas described, light and bouncy. I enjoyed how it was not overly sweet and found that it was all too easy to devour the entire cake over the course of two days. Despite it not having much weight to it, it traveled surprisingly well as I took it home on my three train commute! Similar to what others have said, the real highlight of the shop, in my opinion, are their cream puffs. I'm not sure what I was expecting, but the outer layer was thin yet had a nice little crunch to it. We tried the classic milk, cookies & cream pistachio and ube flavors. Our favorite was the pistachio by far, which had such a unique yet decadent flavor and our second favorite was the milk cream puff. There's not much else I can say other than you really have to go here and try the desserts yourself. If you're a fan of Japanese desserts that are rich yet not too sweet, you'll be a fan of Keki.

There are lots of other tart places that do something sinilar and didn't really think these were that memorable. But read this keeping in mind I didn't try to cake items so that product may be better if all you're looking for is a light fluffy dessert that's not too sweet. Try something else here! Just did take out option here so not much to ambiance or service from my experience to speak on.

And I commonly see the upstairs for private events like baby showers, bridal showers, or birthday parties on social media. After dinner with my friends, I was looking for dessert and I was glad to see this location closes relatively late on a weekday night at 11 pm. Upon walking in, I was greeted by a waiter who led us to one of the purple velvet chair booths that was perfect for two people and another waiter brought us a pitcher of water almost immediately. The menu is on a QR code already on the table and we were given ample of time to decide. My friend and I both already knew what we wanted to order. I got the purple Yam Souffle which takes 25 minutes to make and my friend got the fried squid tails. We also got a signature Rose Green Milk Tea to share. The waitress who took our order has great memory and recalled all of our items without writing it down. She also reminded me that I could adjust the ice and sugar levels of my drink which I had completely forgotten and would have got annoyed if my drink came out 100% sweetness. Another thing is that my drink order frequently comes out wrong at other locations so I was glad she got it right! Green tea instead of black tea and with milk instead of without milk. The purple Yam Souffle is just like the other locations. Hot, soft cakey texture balanced with an ice cold red bean Ice-Cream. So delicious! The squid tails on the other hand was not what we expected. It came out burnt and hard. The outer batter was not crispy either. We informed one of the waiters and he brought it back to inform the kitchen staff. We received a new batch that was not as burnt and had more flavoring this time around. However, the squid was still hard and not like the ones we get from other locations with smaller crispier pieces. Overall, it was still a good experience and I love the decorations at this location! This might be my second favorite location after the Flushing one. Would love to come back for brunch or hi-tea. Or regular food options when I have not already eaten dinner. My usual go-tos are the twister fries, Santa Fe chicken rolls, fried salted crispy chicken, and the trio dessert combo. However, this location has a lot more variety! FYI - there are two unisex restrooms in the rear for customers to use with really cute wallpapers too.

We ordered potted rose milk tea to share, Dubai affogato and Brown Sugar Boba Mille Crêpes Cake. We came on a Friday around 4pm. Originally I wanted to try the strawberry matchamisu, however, was told that it sold out. What a bummer. The rose milk tea came with a themed pot and cups which is really cute. The rose fragrant smelled so good and the milk tea also tasted good and has a hint of rose taste. The cake was good, the boba was well cooked, chewy and flavorful! This time there was an unpleasant experience. At first when the Dubai affogato was served, we did not realize that the amount of the coffee was little until we saw another customer's dish that the volume of their coffee looked significantly more than ours. My friend brought it to the waitress attention but the waitress brushed it off and did not acknowledge our concern. When we finished and were about to leave, the same waitress came over and showed us that the container of the coffee was different and hence the volume of the coffee looked different. At this point, we did not care for it anymore. We would have been fine if the staff acknowledged our concern. We thought that maybe using standardized containers for the coffee would avoid this problem. Other than that, the food and drinks were good.
