This office was one of the worst medical experiences I've ever had. The staff was rude, dismissive, and acted like patients were an inconvenience rather than the reason the office exists. The entire place felt disorganized and unprofessional. The doctor was not much better and came across as rushed, easily annoyed, and completely uninterested in actually listening. Any attempt to explain symptoms or ask questions seemed to irritate them. If your situation is even slightly difficult, don't expect much patience or effort. The appointment felt like the goal was simply to get you in and out as quickly as possible. For a place that is supposed to provide medical care, there was very little care actually involved. Prepare to feel manipulated. Office is money hungry. The annual fee is a joke. Apparently paying extra doesn't mean better care -- it just means you're paying extra. Expect nothing except extreme hostility. Terrible experience, disgraceful actually. Save yourself the time, money, and aggravation and look elsewhere. Seriously avoid at all costs. read more

Would not recommend, if I could give 0 stars I would. I had an extremely concerning experience here and would caution others before making an appointment. Staff was not friendly and the doctor barely listened. Appointment was rushed. He also did not follow-up. Never saw my test results... It's a nightmare to get through to the office and no one called back to discuss or give me my results. They just want your money. They were very stand offish when approached with questions, especially about any extra fees, it was off-putting. Everything appears professional on the surface, but it's a disorganized disaster and even more so concerning, completely lacking in RHEUMATOLOGICAL CARE. Don't waste your time. read more

I saw Dr Tran yesterday for the first time, just for a cortisone shot. He was thorough, but mostly I was blown away by his caring concern! He wasn't rushed and gave me a chance for questions and explanations. He was friendly, informative, communicative and I felt so much less hopeless about my health issues once we were done.Unfortunately, this type of human cinjection is so rare these days and I was so encouraged to have experienced a young doctor who gave his time and expertise so generously . I saw Dr. Victor Tran yesterday for a knee problem I've had for THIRTY years (no exaggeration - ski accident in high school). He was so thorough, brilliant, caring, and everything that you'd want your doctor to be. For the first time in years, I actually felt "heard". He gave me an injection into my knee, worked me up for a few different (new) things, and I feel fantastic today. I could hardly walk going into his office. I'm a physician myself, so I am very particular about the caliber of my own doctors. Dr. Tran is legit and I literally thought about how appreciative I was for his time and his care yesterday, throughout the whole day, as I was back in my own office seeing patients yesterday afternoon. I'm so so thankful that I found him because his care has already made a tremendous improvement in my pain. . . And it's only been one day. He even offered me options for a few new treatments that have come out recently that none of my orthopedic surgeons had mentioned. If I could give him 10 stars, I would! read more

If I could give less than 1 star I would. I was referred to this Center by a reliable source who had a positive experience so made an appointment to get a second opinion regarding my osteoporosis. Evening prior to my appointment I was completing the pre-visit forms only to find out that this medical group charges their patients an annual administrative fee of $300. I was shocked! As much time as I have spent in doctors' offices in my long life, I just never experienced something SO odd. I cancelled my appointment because I do not want to be a part of any physicians who have to beg new patients for money by a signed agreement! I annually give donations to Cedars, Providence and UCLA but for a doctors' group to say you cannot even be a patient unless you donate $300 per year to their practice, I just can not and will not be a part of. That is just too outright sickening. On second thought, I said oh well maybe they do that for people who are under-insured? But I have Medicare with a top of the line Blue Shied supplement and have never come out of pocket except for laser cataract surgery or elective cosmetic procedures I am happy to pay for and do pay for those regularly. I believe a proper procedure would have been when anyone makes an appointment, to alert the prospective patient about the annual fee contract that will be due for life. Why lure patients in if they do not want to be a part of this annual donation? Is it because they lure you in by deceit and then charge a cancellation fee after finding out about the annual fee and cancel? Sounds so sleazy. Besides being disgusted, I was also disappointed as my bones turn to glass and I really need help. I am a senior who felt super discouraged so I did a lot of crying last night. Now I am on a new venture to find a rheumatologist on my own which is daunting. I much prefer a referral but not one that is so deceitful. read more

Scam alert! I went to their new Valley Village office and got horrible vibes from the start. The receptionist could not understand me on the phone and after asking me all my contact information, I told her I would not be giving her my emergency contact on the phone. Upon arrival, the receptionists could not answer if the 3% surcharge on credit cards were also for debit cards (there was a sign on the desk that there was no charge on debit cards.) Then they give me the largest stack of paper ever (I thought doctors offices were now digital) and the questions were bizarre. I finally got to the $250 yearly fee paper and I went up to the desk and told them I won't be needing their services and left. I just feel so badly for all the helpless older women who were coming in and being scammed. read more

BEWARE. Dr. Arash Horizon and his resident Dr. Benjamin Kretzmann ruined my life 10 years ago with a misdiagnosis, negligence and wrongly prescribed medication. I will never forget or forgive them. I only wish I had been healthy enough to file for malpractice, but I was fighting for my life for the next 2 years. Dr Karayev is hands down one of the best Rheumatologists. He is caring, empathetic and has a lot of passion for what he does.

When I checked in for my appointment, I only had to wait a couple of minutes to be seen in. The office was really good and the care was also really good. The doctors were all really sweet and so were the nurses and all the types of care were really good Including shots and the doctor explained the follow to me and what to expect. read more

Praise for Dr.Kretzman: This past year and 1/2 has not been easy on anyone...during this time, I've been suffering with a noncontagious rash on my head...which itches all the time. By absolute fate...A Dr. Rosenbach (third dermatolgist) Just asked a few simple questions and gave me hope I can get better, and maybe there's a reason why this is going on. Dr. R. made a suggestion to try and see a Dr. Kretzman, Specialist in Rheumatology. Wow Wow Wow Dr.K's kind manner and his quiet enthusiam made it easy to share my symptoms, which took over over an hour, (basically my entire life). Took some x-rays and voila... There's a chance I have psoriastic arthritis...also had blood work done, which will be discussed in a week. Truly, I feel Dr. K. is my personal Sherlock Holmes. Update: they said I was accepted by Insurance and I was charged over $500 for 1 visit which I refuse to pay. Also, my joint and muscle pain got much much worse. I told him I thought it was my breast implants and he wasn't knowledgeable on breast implant illness and how it causes autoimmune diseases and their symptoms. Sadly a lot of rheumatologists and Doctors are unaware although there are some! If you think this could be you, go to healingbreastimplantillness.com which is what saved me. I got them out and felt much better. Sadly I saw another girl in there who is suffering from RA that is on a TV show. And guess what. She has breast implants. read more

Was referred by a friend and had a very helpful experience with Dr. Karayev. The office is lovely and the staff is wonderful and helpful.

I come here for remicade infusions at there 3rd street locations in Los Angeles. Front desk staff is very unfriendly and cold. I literally dread every time I have to come here because of the front desk staff. They also charge a $75 missed appointment fee even tho I pay 10k a month for infusions. They treat me like a number not a human. I will be going somewhere else after my last appointment as they clearly don't want the 100k a year in business. They also mess up my apt times constantly. There infusion lounge is pretty basic and stale. read more

He asked me attentively about my problem, not in a hurry, listened to me attentively, did not interrupt. We talked for about 45 minutes, the doctor told me about my problem. gave recommendations and advice. It was very comfortable and calm. No other doctor devoted so much time to me, did not delve into my disease. When the results of my tests came, Dr. Karaev called me on the phone and told me in the same detail about my results. answered all my questions. I am very glad to have visited this great doctor! Dr. Kretzman is so knowledgeable and very down-to-earth; he listened to all my venting concerns and after talking and then taking X-rays, he went over the x-rays with me - he then drained my knee of a little fluid and injected it for pain! Dr. Karayev is a great doctor, he truly cares about helping patients, way more than I've seen with any other doctor. My husband is not an easy/straightforward case, and after seeing numerous rheumatologists ended up seeing Dr. Karayev about 3 years ago. Other doctors didn't know how to help my husband, Dr. Karayev however really thought outside the box in terms of treatment solutions, rethought his diagnosis and has really been helping him. This review is about Dr. Arash A. Horizon specifically. I rate him as being the very best rheumatologist in Los Angeles. I have been seeing him for six years. Five months prior to being referred to him I suddenly developed a severe left knee effusion. It was so large and full of fluid that I could not walk without a cane and stairs were very difficult. It felt as though a 20 Ib weight was attached. My GP referred me to an osteoarthritis specialist and surgeon. He tried many different approaches but it resisted all treatment attempts. Finally, he recommended knee replacement surgery. I sought a second opinion and was referred to Dr. Horizon. He knew of my issue in advance and as I shuffled into the examination room where he awaited me he exclaimed: "That is not osteoarthritis. That's psoriatic arthritis and I will have you walking properly again in a week." He was true to his word and had me walking properly again in three days! He has continued to successfully treat and control the psoriatic arthritis and related internal inflammation. At present I see him every two months for an infusion. He has a great "bedside manner," is really caring, and is a credit to the medical profession. I understand that he teaches medical residents specializing in rheumatology at Cedars Sinai. His staff is equally wonderful, helpful and professional. As my GP said to me, "Dr. Horizon is at the top of his game." I could not agree more and I highly recommend him to anyone seeking the very best available rheumatology treatment and care. read more
