I'm so thankful to this doctor! My daughter had enlarged adenoids and we had gone to one specialist ENT and she wanted to put my daughter on medication's for the rest of her life instead of remove the adenoids that did not sit well with me. I went to Dr. Strocker for a second opinion and immediately she said let's remove them. She has improved my daughter's quality of life tremendously. Super amazing bedside manner made my daughter feel so comfortable. My daughter is 11 years old healing was a Breeze my hats off to this Dr. if you have a child that needs to get their tonsils out or their adenoids out I highly recommend her! read more

My son had ear tubes with Dr. Strocker in 2023. We've been seeing her every 4 months for check ups since then. Good news is he hasn't had any ear issues since the tubes. Bad news is we have to consistently wait 30-45 minutes at every single appointment. So annoying! read more

Dr. Strocker is one of the rare gems that you are blessed to find in any field. Well trained and courageous. 16 years ago my son was faced a life threatening blockage (hemangioma) in his airway. The diagnosis came dangerously late and by the time we met Dr. Strocker at Children's Hospital, L.A., something needed to be done quickly. The suggestion from Most of the Dr's was to place a tracheotomy, which would remain for the first 5 years of his life! Long story, but I couldn't accept that and Dr. Strocker was the answer to our prayers. She successfully removed the hemangioma with a laser procedure that had only been done a handful of times. You won't find a more knowledgeable, caring and wonderful person. read more

I never updated this review. I was told at this appointment that all my son's hearing problems were behavioral. They made me feel like my son was a bad child. My son made a comment in his testing about how all the walls are padded and he said that he would have so much fun hanging out in there after hours because of the padded rooms bouncing along the walls. Pretty typical childlike comment. The nurse pulled me aside and said she was concerned by his behavior and comment!. When I tell you that my son is an excellent student and has amazing social relationships to be told for the very first time in his entire life that he had behavior issues by an ENT tech!!!!!!!! Avoid this place at all costs, go elsewhere, drive hours if you need to. Had a follow up and my son indeed has a hearing problem that is being handled by a competent and compassionate ENT and staff. I let our Pediatrician know to no longer recommend this horrific doctor and office. read more

The waiting room feels very uninviting with just chairs line along the walls. Furniture in the treatment room looks dated. Doctor Strocker doctor was very attentive to our daughter, knowledgeable, thorough and even other parents of patients shared that they were happy with her treatment. read more

Dr. Strocker is fantastic with kids! We've been seeing her off and on for our 2 daughters over the years. First for some vocal nodes and then for many cases of Strep. Most recently, our 10 year old needed to have her tonsils and adenoids taken out for infection;5 cases of strep in 3 months was a lot and it's rare now a days. We did get a second opinion with another ENT, we knew and HE confirmed that Dr. Strocker would be the best fit. The office staff is nice and they are timely with their appointments. The communication from the staff before and after surgery was great. They were open and available for all my questions. We're 3 weeks post op and my daughter is doing great! read more

Words can't describe what a wonderful doctor she is! She is so kind, so informative, and amazing at what she does. There is no wait time to see her. And her office is in pristine condition. Today she took out a foreign object out of my nine year old's ear that was lodged deep into the canal. My daughter felt very little discomfort and it was out before we knew it. She also treated her frequent nose bleeds. She treated our daughter so well and answered all of our questions without making is feel rushed. The only reason this review didn't get one star was because dr strocker herself seemed nice enough. The office is extremely unclean and the staff is not friendly. Long, long wait times to get in, no restroom in office and not a single item that makes it seem this is an office for pediatric purposes. Extremely depressing, intimidating environment for my 6 year old boy and he was so anxious because it looks nothing like our warm inviting pediatricians office. I will not be returning and highly recommend other offices over this one. Please update this office and retrain staff so it is less scary for kids. read more

Please try to schedule tonsillectomy for your kids away from this doctor. My son had his tonsils and adenoids removed by her at 2 and, he is now 5 year old and his speech is permanently damaged because of her removing part of his soft palate and causing permanent hyper nasality. A true disaster after a typically easy surgery that doctors do all the time. She has caused my family to suffer so much especially after repeatedly saying he is fine every time we saw her to ask what's wrong with his voice. Stay away if you love your child. read more

I am SO SO THANKFUL FOR DR. STROKER!! She is an excellent surgeon and excellent PEDIATRIC ENT! When we realized our 9 year old son had gigantic tonsils it finally explained his slurred speech, drooling, and sleep apnea. We saw 3 ENT's all hesitant to give him the surgery... our son wasnt sleeping!!! Dr. Strocker had full confidence the procedure would enhance his sleep and life and it did!! We LOVE that she has a therapy dog at her office... Winston kept our son calm. The day of our sons surgery happend to be the morning after the Woolsey fires broke out... we were evacuated from home and exhausted. Dr. Strocker was so pateint and allowed us to keep the surgery schedueld and worked with us on traffice patternts etc. I was so nervous in the waiting room and her dog found me among atleast 50 people and just sat with me! This review is long overdue but my experience with Dr. Strocker has left a lasting negative impression on me and I felt I needed to let others know. When our baby was born, his ear cartilage was bent/misshapen. Being new parents, we were concerned and wanted to get that corrected as soon as possible. At 5 days old, we took him to Dr. Strocker's office, on recommendation from our pediatrician. The waiting room was very grim, old and dingy toys, burnt out fluorescent lighting, etc. The nurse that took us back had visible tattoos on her arms, and there was the dog walking around the office and inbetween our legs. We like dogs, but don't like to see hairy dogs in a doctor's office with our newborn baby. The examining room reminded me of a torture chamber, with a single pedestal chair on a platform with a backdrop of floor to ceiling windows of the 101 freeway. We proceeded to have little pieces of wax moldings pressed into my baby's ears to mold them into proper shape, but Dr. Strocker put pieces of gauze and TONS of medical tape to hold the little pieces of wax in the ears. She placed this tape all over my son's hair... which resulted in the tape and little piece of wax to fall out the next day. We paid $200 for this "procedure" and when I called to ask for the wax to be reapplied because it fell out, I was told by the manager that I would have to pay again for the reapplication. She was a very sour person to speak to on the phone, too. I ended up going to CVS and buying some wax that can be shaped to block the ear (for swimmers) for a couple of dollars. I shaped it into my son's ears for a few days, it stuck by itself without guaze or tape getting caught in his hair. I would reapply it every couple of days, reshape it while he was breastfeeding, and as he started to grow I noticed that his ears were looking more normal and properly shaped. And I realized we never should have gone to Dr. Strocker in the first place. We just lost $200 over our mistake and feel taken advantage of because her care was absolutely useless. read more

Dr Ali Strocker is an intelligent and caring doctor. We recently have been to her and Dr Birn's office many times with my 7 month old son. I have yet to met Dr. Birns but he comes highly recommended by our pediatrician. In our encounters, we have never had to wait to see her and I have never felt rushed through our visit. My husband and I were very impressed with her ability to assess our son's situation and explain our options in a very objective and proper manner. I also really appreciated her willingness and propensity of doing what was best for my son. I feel like it's becoming rare to find doctors like her these days and we are so happy we found her. AMAZING is the only word I can use to describe Dr. Strocker! My 3 year old son was referred to an ENT because of his enlarged tonsils and sleep apnea. Living in the Palm Springs area our choices for a pediatric specialist were non-existent. So, we sought the opinion of a recommended ENT near us. His bedside manner and his inability to answer our legitimate questions left a sour taste in our mouth, especially because he wanted to conduct the tonsillectomy without addressing our concerns. Thus began my search for a pediatric specializing ENT. Fate must have brought Dr. Strocker up in my search for a reason. Yes, her office was more than a two hour drive away, but my son deserved better than what I felt the ENT in our area could provide. We scheduled a consult and make the trip out to Tarzana. Let me say it has all been worth it! From our first interactions with her, Dr. Strocker was patient, kind and her staff/office put my son (and us) at ease. She took the time to answer our questions, made recommendations and was honest about the expectations. My son had his tonsils and adenoids removed by her last week and I can't say enough about how much I appreciate her level of care. She personally took the time to call me the evening of his outpatient surgery to see how he was doing. I can't say any other doctor has ever done that for me or my son. A week out from surgery and my son is sleeping like a healthy 3 year old should! I can honestly say that my husband and I are so fortunate to have found her and that the drives to get this level of care for my son have been more than worth it. Thank you Dr. Strocker! read more

Ali Strocker accepts Blue Shield insurance, BUT only if it is through an employer, not individually purchased. Talk about some white privilege BS. Apparently my hard earned money, that I spend on my wife's insurance isn't good enough for them. I asked why this was the case, and instead of being an adult and just answering the question, the receptionist became political and dodged my question. She answered by saying, we have been doing this since 2014. That's great and all, but that's not an answer to my question of why she runs her business this way. If you can't own up to why you do things to potential customers, than you don't deserve people's business. It just makes you look interested in only yourself and your bottom line. Amazing! She really is. We are so fortunate to have come across her. We brought our 4 yr old here, she was quick to address the issue he could be having. Immediately we went for x-rays , a week or so later she scheduled for his adenoids to be removed. She is so efficient and thorough. I really like that she had a dog in her office, it made my son feel at ease about being at the drs. The procedure was a success, it was quick.
