They also have a huge storage area in the basement so you can reserve your fixtures months in advance before pickup. We made a 1/2 down payment so the price would remain the same or better when we went to pick it up. They will only charge you the current price if you don't make a down payment. So if it goes up, you're at a loss. They have a display area for the bulbs too, so you can see the level of brightness and whiteness/yellowness you're looking for. Their bulbs are all LED's now. They have a wide variety of fixtures and a wide variety of price ranges so it's easy for someone on a budget to find something suitable too. We got lucky and picked out four fixtures (two ceiling fans and two chandeliers) and bulbs prior to prices increasing the following month. When we went back to pick up the fixtures a few months later we saved several hundred dollars by having put 1/2 down. We could not be happier with how everything turned out! Happy shops!

We were there for a couple of hours talking pros and cons on pieces, measuring present pieces to compare sizes of those we were looking at in catalogs, and comparing colors. Mr Steve had the utmost patience with us and our multitude of questions. I was going out of town for two weeks the day after ordering everything. While on my trip Mr Steve called to coordinate delivery and was very understanding of my being gone. He even offered to let me pay the remaining balance on my order after I was back in town instead of over the phone when it had arrived in store. He also offered to bring a rug I had had my eye on but hadn't bought to try it out in our space with our other furniture. An hour and a half late they waltz in ( not calling to notify me of the delay or anything), complain a lot about my doorway, threaten to leave couch outside in the hallway for my neighbors to trip over, gouged out holes in my wall paint, and in the door to the room they gouged out a piece of the door on top of the paint. And to top that all off the interesting piping that I picked out? Was missing. It wasnt even my couch that I picked out. After work one night, I searched on the internet for NYC/Westchester design firms that may be able to assist. I found that most firms wanted $2000 just to create a design for me. I am so glad I discovered Bark. I put my requirements in and found MCollection & Design through Bark. Michelle called me the next day (the MOST pleasant, friendly and responsive person ever!) and she explained that they could help me design the space for $500 and also help in the search for the sofabed, rugs, desks, bookcases etc. I would just purchase the bulk of the items from her firm. This was perfect for me because I have a very demanding job and didn't want to spend hours on my own looking for items and then purchase them and find out that what I bought didn't fit in the space-- thus wasting money. I gave Michelle my budget, my color scheme and sent her some examples of couches and desk styles that I liked. The next day I got emails of sourced items that she thought I would like! Just great response time! I liked many of the items that she found and those which I didn't, Michelle was happy to give me more choices. In addition, MCollection was able to take my floorplan and electronically show me different scenarios for the furniture layouts. The furniture was conveniently sent to my apartment and MCollection also connected me to a handyman who put my desk and bookcases together. He even hung my artwork. (I had had a difficult time finding someone who had a COI which my building requires). Furthermore, during the process, I was also assigned a designer, Shawn (also the most pleasant responsive person), who came to my apartment to check on the progress of the project. They were able to find a queen sized sofa bed that fit beautifully in the space along with the desk and bookcases I wanted. Within approximately 30 days, I had my office set up! I am so glad that Bark led me to MCollection. It saved me hours in searching for a design firm that would fit my needs. I got professionals who helped me design and source my office/guest room just the way I wanted it. The process was very collaborative and fast!
