I was trying to exchange my old soda stream canister @ another establishment but they were full and didn't have the color canister (blue) I needed. They only had pink. Lady said they haven't had a blue ones for months. Just so happened I was running another errand close by and happened to walk by and figured doesn't hurt to ask PC Richard if they do canister exchanges and to my surprise they said yes! They are going the way of the dodo, but more often than not, this past year, electronic stores have truly come in handy for me. Not sure if this is the general consensus but I have to say I'm glad P. C. Richard's is still on Queens Blvd. I just so happen to be walking in the store with one of the associates. I think he understood I was on a mission and he was willing and ready to help. After snagging the last dual microphone package, checkout was really simple and easy at one of the associate stations set up on the floor. On 4/24 I walked into your Store on Queens Blvd. Met with Manager Jonathan. Purchased two Air Conditioners, cost of install, window brackets, service plans and removal of old units. We discussed a delivery date for today and a window of time between 10AM & 3 PM. On 4/28 delivery dispatcher calls to confirm delivery and advised that they will deliver between the hours of 7AM & 11AM. I said no problem as it will allow me the rest of the day to run and take care of errands. Between yesterday and today I received numerous emails from PC Richards and text messages with an assortment of time changes. Early this morning ai received a call from the driver advising that I will be the last delivery between 4PM & 6PM. I asked what happened to the designated time that was agreed upon with the store manager and also dispatched? Drivers response "well we delive based on the number of installs we have for the day and the various areas we have to deliver to." My response to that was that's unacceptable a time was discussed and agreed. Same scenario occurred back in 2024 at the same store. In my frustration I drove directly to the store and cancelled my order. Attempted to call the Manager who sold me the units this morning and was unable to leave a message . So I texted him a lengthy message voicing my frustration and also forwarded snapshots of the numerous emails and text messages I received with the schedule changes. I still have not received a call back explaining or apologizing. Phoned PC Richards Customer Service and the agent was of no hope and now giving me a new time slot of 1:30PM. I spent close to $2k and this is how they treat their customers! No regard for the Customers personal time. I took off work to this nonsense. Hey if they were giving it to me for free, then screw me over all you want, but when I'm paying for it, then I went the red carpet treatment ! The salesman was pleasant and convinced me to buy a 10,000 BTU Friedrichs A/C for the bedroom, which should be more than sufficient for the room size. I could have bought a cheaper brand with less BTUs but was told Friedrichs was much better. It's a worthless piece of junk which didn't cool the room even slightly when I bought it two years ago and still doesn't two years later, even when accompanied by a fan to direct the not-cool air (at any temp). And when ever I am making a decision on what iam going to purchase there staff has always been very helpful and courteous. On one occasion I was there to purchase a kindle fire tablet. A had called the store earlier before I got there .I ask them how many they had left, they told me there was only 2 left. So I ask could they hold one for me .iam on my way ..and they did those tablets were flying of the shelves at the time because they were under $50.00. We called and asked the salesman to replace our fine, old Bosch dishwasher with another of comparable quality. The dishwasher he sent turned out to be low-end junk. Probably something they couldn't sell. We then called immediately to try and replace it with a better quality dishwasher, saying we would pay the price difference. PC Richards refused. We were told once an appliance is installed, they would not replace it. We contacted other PC executives, every one said the same thing. So we are stuck with a dishwasher that we do not use. I bought a Frigidaire fridge in February from the Forest Hills store. In June, it stopped cooling properly. I visited the store and was told to schedule a repair visit. The problem is an appointment wasn't available for five days! Facing the spoilage of hundreds of dollars of food, I called in an independent repairman (with whom I'd worked before). He came within two hours, quickly diagnosed a defective fan and wired in a new one. I knew I risked violating the retailer and manufacturer's warranties, but what to do? The contracted repairman did come five days later just to take a look. Subsequently I talked with both Frigidaire and PC Richard in the vague hope of being compensated. Predictably they washed their hands of the matter. (The PC Richards rep had the gall to say PC Richards didn't sell us the defective product, Frigidaire did!) Again, I realize that according to the fine print I had little recourse. Still, that's pretty crappy customer service. read more

We needed a replacement refrigerator,, and the assistance we got in resolving this was exemplary, Both managers, Calvin and Ricky were positively wonderful in the way they assisted us. Not only was the item made available on the day promised, but the scheduled delivery date was readily made available to us.Too,, Manager Ricky, walked us thru the delivery issue, and it couldn't have gone more smoothly. If anything, it was the bldng we reside in that was the problem ,and again Ricky overrode this beautifully. I was pleased when the guy said I could use their bathroom. ::bathroom alert:: Very clean for a chain store. Toliet paper was stocked. Didn't smell like a public restroom. Can't say enough good about my brief visit here. Woke up on a trip to some charging equipment that had stopped functioning for my iPhone. Thought I might have to travel a ways to get Apple gear which I prefer. PC Richard had exactly what I needed, and as good fortune, they opened at 9 a.m. on a Saturday. I asked to test the gear out before I left and they happily unboxed it and we did exactly that. But wait, I also got a recommendation for a lunch spot from the gentleman that helped me. We have always bought our appliances at PC Richards, feeling that they offer personal attention and never mind us taking our time. Everything we have purchased there has been fine. But we recently bought a Bosch dishwasher for our tenant, deliberately choosing a top-of-the-line brand so it would be trouble free. Within days the machine was flashing an error message. We had several service visits and the service company insisted the problem was with us, our setup, our install, etc. Nothing made that machine work. Through it all, one person offered us some light at the end of the tunnel--Mike Diaz at PC Richards. He stuck with us and followed up in every way, finally sending a service person who confirmed that there was a crack in the rear of the dishwasher that was causing it to leak and creating that error message. Mike helped us get a replacement machine and it works perfectly. We will continue to make PC Richards our go-to appliance store. read more

Third generation family of Dutch descent is a local super store that offers many wares from electronics to appliances and now the addition of mattress. Earlier in the year I was in the market for a simple point and shoot digital camera at a reasonable price. After checking on Amazon and Wal-Mart, I felt I wanted to talk with a salesman who could discuss the finer points or nit so finer points as the case may be, and although for the life of me I can not recall the gentlemmans name, I received what I had hoped for, why I shop here. Not a sterile and synthetic shopping experience nor endure the customer service frustrations at Wal-Mart, but a fully engaged, informative shopping Q and A that lead me to my Nikon camera purchase. Two too three times a week at approximately at the same morning time, I walk past this location. Each time, I hear the buzz of cleaning personnel at their respective toil, the hum of the vacuum cleaners motors dominate the scene. Not a huge fan of this location at all. I went in looking to purchase new headphones. The ones I have right now are Skullcandy and have a volume button as well as a microphone built in. Basically its a really handy headphones for cell phone users. Except its kind of broken now. I happened to be walking by this PC Richard & Son and thought- surely I'll walk out with new headphones. So wrong. This location is pretty small and when I finally located the headphones section, it was behind a counter. Fine. I start to look over the "selection" when a sales guy comes over. I asked him for headphones with a built in microphone and volume control. He looked at me blankly and said, "What?". He clearly had no idea what I was talking about. I repeated myself showing him the pair I had. He then hands me this no name brand head phones saying its "really good". Ok, I think. Let's check this out. WHA?! $70 for a generic brand headphones? I told him it was too expensive and asked if he could offer any brands I could recognize. He said no and so ended my journey. The only brand I knew anything about was Bose. And don't get me wrong- I'm not all about name brands- but I'm not about to pay that much for unknown quality. Genuinely pains me to write this as I've shopped here over the years and would prefer to support a local business versus a conglomerate. But the service, while remote, is genuinely awful: impolite people manning the phones; long wait times; service people who call at 7:30 A.M. only to cancel that morning's appointment (after a two-week wait time...). Incapable service person arrived late and did not fix the issue resulting in a lot of wasted time and an unusable appliance. You've lost a customer -- as well as the friends, family, etc. that I'll be getting the word out to. The staff here is incompetent, including the manager. I've never seen a store that lacks communication amongst staff members. SUPER DISHONEST!! Went to buy an expensive air conditioner and the sales guy Mohamed tells me it's not on sale, but he'll "talk to his manager" and see what he can do for me. He comes back telling me the "good news" that his manager approved a discount, so I give him my credit card and sign for it. Then I realize it was a modest discount with a 5 year extended warranty sneaked in. When I bring this up and say I didn't ask for it, he refuses to refund me the money! The extended warranty cost me much more than the fake discount, so I ended up being ripped off. His reply is now I have a great warranty and don't need to worry about anything for 5 years! The reason I was buying this brand of air conditioner in the first place is because it lasts over 10 years without need for extra warranty. Why didn't I call the authorities on these guys? First of all I don't even know who to call, and any resolution would take months and be such a time and emotional suck. I just can't deal with that. This sleazy, predatory behavior is what I expect from 3rd world countries, not a big name retailer! Especially if you're a woman, please do yourself a huge favor, steer clear of these guys and go to Best Buy or somewhere else to buy your big ticket items. Let P.C.
