Visited this place a couple of times while in Snowflake. I typically order the same dish to gauge the difference in taste and preparation from other like fares. The food is good and fresh. So far, the relleno and fajitas are a thumbs up. The atmosphere in the restaurant is homely. You order your food at the counter and it gets delivered to your table. Yesterday, I ordered enchiladas with rice and beans in the drive thru and asked for extra lettuce, as I've done many times. When my total was almost $15, I checked my receipt and saw they had charged me $1 for extra "lettes". I've never paid extra for lettuce, here or anywhere else, so as she tried to hand me my order, I said, "Wait, did you actually charge me a dollar for, what, a quarter of an ounce of shredded lettuce?" She said yes, so I just said that was ridiculous, and they could take their dollar's worth of lettuce off and give me back my dollar. They actually did scrape off every piece of lettuce along with part of my dinner. I thought I was being petty, but they outdid me for pettiness when they actually scraped off all the lettuce. My wife and I stopped going to alibertos last year because it sucked and last night we decided to try it again. Food was well packed in to-go-boxes and it looked great. Its a shame it had no flavor? The rice and beans didn't have that authentic Mexican flavor. Send your cooks to sal and Theresa's so they can learn how to cook authentic Mexican food. Actually, taco bell food has more flavor. This place is great and I would recommend it to anyone that hasn't been here before that loves Mexican food. You cannot go wrong with the Carne Asada burrito and the salsa bar that they offer has the best red or if you prefer green chunky salsa. Do NOT spend your hard earned money here at all. My grandson ordered an horchata. I did not notice the drink until he drank about half of it. It was so filled with ice. I asked the attendant (who got our order totally wrong and we ended up paying twice as much for our food) if she could add a little more horchata since it was filled unnecessarily with so much ice and she asked an older lady if she could. The older lady asked me if I had requested no ice. I was honest and said that no I did not make that request and explained to her and showed her how much ice was in the drink. She flatly said no. No I'm sorry but our policy is... Just no. We will not be returning ever again even though it is conveniently located. People from Tucson come to visit and we have recommended this place and now we will spread the word because of how we were treated and also because of how the attendant got our order wrong. We paid double the price on one of our order and like the lady who checked her receipt because she was charged $1.00 for extra lettuce, we noticed after the fact. Plus it is flavorless. Do yourselves a favor and go to El Charro or Los Nopales. Super good food and the same price. You get free refills also. They have the machines that keep horchata cold to boot. Really grateful for this family business for being able to take care of me in hard times and conditions. Working there was an experience that I wasn't expecting, specially in a working place surrounded by love and hard working people that I will always miss. Not great. Burrito was full of grease. Waited 15 min for 1 thing. The ones in Holbrook,Showlow and Pinetop are way better. Won't eat at this one again. Update: After posting this review. The next Day one of the owners got ahold of me. And they appoligized for my bad experience. Offered a free meal to make up for it. This is how customer service should be. She was very sweet and apologetic. I will try this restaurant again. Like I stated before the other locations are fantastic. Let's hope this was limited to that one bad experience. read more

The last two times we have been there my wife has purchased the shredded bee enchiladas and when we got home to eat they were terrible! First off there was no beef in the enchiladas and the cheese was frozen! Once I can understand but twice, that's unforgivable! No mow Aliberto's for us! read more

Excellent service. Girl taking the order was very nice. Good was delivered fast and portions were huge. Husband said menudo was good but could have had more meat and hominy. We will definitely go back if we want Mexican food. Had all the condiments you needed and you served yourself chips and various salsa. Prices were reasonable. The Mexican food quality in Snowflake Taylor has gone downhill and finally a tried and true eatery just opened in the old Pizza Hut on Main St. Taylor. We stopped in for breakfast and were greeted by very nice folks. The menu is extensive and very reasonably priced. My wife and I had the Huevos Rancheros and they were very good. The new owners take pride in their food quality and have cleaned the place up from the filthy prior place. I look forward to coming back frequently and trying as much of their menu as I can!
